- Apex Legends Season 21 ranked season may not have a ton of changes to the system as a whole. But with the updated Easy Anti-Cheat, buffs, and nerfs, and more meta changes we deep dive and see how the meta has evolved and how players are adapting to the newest legend Alter!
We spectate a few rounds and see what players are succeeding but also failing at in the newest update!

2 things
1. Alter tactical is a bit like Ash's ult where if you're off by a single pixel it's game over but unlike Ash, Alter has free aim so it's a skill issue if you're a pixel off. PLEASE RESPAWN REMOVE THE LOCK ON FROM ASH'S ULT

2. Ranked for me becomes a slog at around silver 1 and up because everyone starts to play super slow. I often feel as if I could go AFK, cook a full meal and when I get back nobody would have moved. It probably wouldn't be so bad if Apex wasn't a game where quick movement is the main focus. In R6 when I used to play it, going slow made sense but in Apex it is like "why am I even a movement legend when I haven't moved in 7 years"
Play recon I’d say crypto scan beacons get ult accels then u just scan beacon see where they are and decisively push off that intel with ult 👍
Do you have a video where you break down how to properly play cover? I feel like I sometimes play cover "too wide" but I don't know how to correct it

I've found mixtape/solos to be really helpful for improving cover play. It's interesting to watch the kill cam to see yourself from the enemy's perspective.

I got banned(a week) after I reported two players teaming in solo(I've uploaded a clip of it). My seasons 21 less then 24h.

I’ve been actually trying to grind a lot of solos since it’s only here for a limited time. Idk it’s just me though but solos feels like it makes me a better fighter when I go into trios or ranked after playing some solos.

Which character do you recommend for ranked. I prefer to be more of the support role on my team so I usually run Catalyst but I want to know if another character may be a better choice
Vantage, fuse, Newcastle, crypto, are some of the best especially when it comes to ranked😏
Lifeline - ALGS proved amazing for resetting fights
Newcastle - Insane buffs this season
Rampart - Slept on for providing cover towards end zones
Loba - Oddly high in pick rate at the moment in ranked
Hamazor added some, I agree about vantage as well. But also because I do main her. But also Bloodhound is a great for re-entry and support an aggro entry fragger with info.
Catalyst also is insane btw because of the door buffs!
Gulp, I was joking but I guess everyone I listed was good (Excpet fuse, you have to be a different breed to play him well). But crypto is insane now, vantage is my main(because of dazs of course) and if you ever watched the number 1 new castle he makes playing apex look unfair with others because of the tacticle. And using different legends is not the primary thing to getting better, you have to be decent yourself.
Is being good at apex a natural skill? I’ve managed to get from silver to plat/diamond but instantly drop from diamond and hardstuck non stop. Idk what to really do. I always gain lots of rp and then lose a bunch after some bad games
What teir 4 altar perk do you guys go for I can’t decide like the tac cooldown is so good but the forever ult is so good to
Both are extremely strong. The unlimited times provides flexibility to go back center or reposition at any time.
But if you breach a ton as Alter the other tier is better. Change depending on your teams playstyle.

The alter in game 3 had me screaming at my screen lol. I know he's not the best player and i don't like teasing people for how they play, but the indecisiveness drove me crazy.
I just hit gold 4 and it's gotten a lot sweatier since it's still early in the season😂
Oh yeah, definitely gonna be ALGS type lobbies or they get beat out instantly. No inbetween LOL

So what do you do when everyone is using a cheater device to mod their controller inputs?
On console; my lobbies are INFESTED with Chronus zen and Xim abusers.
I'm 3rd prestige, and 90% of my lobbies are pred/masters OR rage hackers, who run obvious mods.
Address this please.

Rank at the very start of each split is unplayable.
I am an average plat player, and all my lobbies are filled to the brim with master and pred players, that just chew through lobbies.
What's the point of putting these ppl into the same melting pot with ppl that never climbed out of silver/gold/plat?
The rank should decay a bit each season, not all down to bronze. We know, that the player that is consistently reaching masters/pred, has no place in low rank lobbies, and he will breeze out of there with no issue. But for said lower lvl players, it's unbearable experience because it is just decimation, with no counterplay available
Yeah, why I mentioned it is a mixed bag for sure. I prefer the split when they drop by two ranks, I also think decay is a great idea.

I do think because its a mixed bag and rookie, bronze, and silver have little to no entry cost and should just enjoy. Spectating in this video we saw a pretty diverse group. Was not just one team running it down.

I am trying to incorporate your approach for ranked, and I must admit, that since I did, the quality of my matches and overall experience skyrocketed. As a result of that, so did my rank.
no entry cost does not mitigate the frustration of being ran over by a team with full masters badges, even be it every 2nd match.
It feels like being dropped into a bear enclosure with a pocket knife.
And on top of that, here in Europe, we do have 24 languages- which makes the comm that much more difficult. only 3rd of my games I get a team speaking English. In other games ppl speak french/spanish/german/italian/russ/arabic/etc
and they are so hostile at any mention and pleading for communicating in English- almost as if speaking English is an afront
(English is not my 1st language neither, but when I was learning it, I was under the impression that I'm doing so to avoid situations as I described above)

Some people need to just slow the F down period they run in and get triple teamed. What is the damn rush? Take your time get looted up then go start taking out teams
Efficiency is key. If you spend too much time looting you fall behind in armor.
Smart fights and momentum is key. Not every fight has to be taken. But if you have a major upper hand and you can clear your backs and control more zone. This is when it is favorable so teams don’t pressure you back.
Last thing you need is to be gated from zone, have whole team at a tier armor difference, and taking fights that don’t make sense.
