Mandy, 30 year chef and 20 year culinary school instructor here and I have to say this could be a model for producing the perfect cooking video. You present an easy recipe with tips and suggestions for a versatile spice mix. Then, you demonstrate six distinct recipes (with variations for those) in a clear, succinct and straightforward manner with no superfluous, dramatic or pretentious content. So much information and helpful hints in just over 14 minutes - professional video production and editing, practical skillful cooking technique and excellent teaching skills. You even provided the printed recipes. Definitely an A+. Keep up the fine work.
@Mike-rf5tz: So nice of you to offer this feedback for @SoupedUpRecipes
Hi Mandy. I just love watching you teach us how to uncomplicate making different asian foods. I was born and raised on a farm and was only taught old time recipes . You have helped bring me into the present and to cook like I like to eat. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. From Florida USA
Hey Mandy, french fan here ! Somehow you weren't recommended on my youtube home page for almost a year, what a shame. Big fan of yours, bought your wok when it first came out and was so pleased with its quality (I use it so often), always looking forward for your recipes. I'll gladly bingewatch all the videos i've missed !! Glad to see your videos again, your new haircut looks cool as well !
Welcome back. Thank you for supporting me.
Hi Mandy, I'm so glad that you showed us different kinds of food with this BBQ Spice. As always, I love this recipe. ❤
@@SoupedUpRecipes Your written recipe is different than what you have in the video. The video has cumin seeds and Sichuan peppercorns, the recipe has powdered versions. If viewers go with powdered then there will be *more* of that by ratio being pre-ground.
I like how you showed how we can grill the skewers in the oven. Not everyone has a outdoor grill
I have discovered that toasted sunflower seed kernels are an excellent substitute for peanuts if somebody has an allergy of tree nuts and cannot use almonds!
Thank you for the tip! 😀
The shrimp recipe looks great, i wanna try it with lime and chaat masala
Haha…good one chat masala.
Thank you for sharing this! I've always wanted to replicate those lamb bbq sticks at home.
I always like your show, but today was outstanding ! It all looks sooo good
Thank you so much!
you are so thorough and always in the point and I appreciate that because it makes me feel that I don't waste any time watching just relaxing and in the same time learning .. thank you Mandy ❤❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍Hi Mandy. So much talent and knowledge. Thank you for sharing that with us. Personally, I enjoy watching you eating and enjoying all of those great meals. Wish I could get better using my chop sticks. I'll keep practicing !!! Great presentation....Michigan
I always try to pronounce the Chinese names of the dishes you make....and I always double check that no-one can hear me. 😂
I will watch this AFTER dinner, it's safer that way.
(I like your new hairdo 👍)
Mandy, you make such clear and well-paced videos. I love that you make a BBQ spice mix and then follow it up with 5 easy recipes. Great stuff! Appreciate the work you put in. Thank you very much and I look forward to more.
Go girl, you are appreciated. I always enjoy your recipes.
Last week I cooked the dace fish in the can with bitter melon. My husband and I love it. I cooked again right after finishing the first. I have a lot of frozen bitter melon because we planted them the past 2 years. Thank you. I will make this barbecue seasoning next!
6:55 I love this is easily adaptable to be Gluten Free. I'd have to soak my rice noodles ahead of time, but it still works.
Thank you Mandy for the beautiful BBQ spice and the demo on various recipes. Love your new hairstyle.
your sausage stuffer is the bomb! I love it. it is great that you show sausage can be made without the expensive stand mixer and attachment.
I really, really appreciate the many quick recipes in this video. Everyone is so pressed for time these days that ideas for quick and flavorful meals are always welcome. Great video!

You reminded me of my visits to BBQ stalls in Fuyong, Shenzhen

These are fantastic! I want to try them all. I love your videos and have your recipes saved for special occasions. I'm in an area that has a lot of readily available crawfish. Are there any Chinese recipes that utilize that as a main or side dish?
Omg the noodles would taste and smell so amazing 🤩
Thank for tip.
Oh my God! My mouth is salivating watching you cook. Can't wait to try. I don't think we get Chinese meat balls in India.

My favourite would be the skewers, dumplings and noodles. I’m drooling for them right now 😋😋
Hope you enjoy

Sou fã da culinária chinesa. Isso sim, é um verdadeiro achado!😍😍😍

Wow, I feel like Christmas has come early! 😃Thank you Mandy. I had so many dried chilis this year that I decided to make some mixes for friends and family for Christmas. I am so excited to make this one to put in the basket. I know I will make a batch first and sacrifice myself to tasting all these dishes first, haha. 😁
Sounds great! Happy holidays.
Sorry can't find the bbq spice recipe
@@andersonparks858 it's below.
Thank you for the recipe! I’m going to add a teaspoon of MSG!
These recipes look so good. Can't wait to try them. Where do you get your porcelain dishes from. I find the blue and white very hard to find in the US Midwest. I share ur videos with family and friends. Thank you for sharing your videos.
I really like her greeting.. i mostly watch her video just to hear her greeting... Hahahaha😂
Or just use the sesame seeds and omit the nuts. Glad to hear you are acknowledging peanut allergies. Personally I had no issues in Asia. But there was one incident where a waitress almost had an uncle Roger like "why you scared of peanuts?? you so weak! soo weak! reaction. I just went to an another place next door and had a dim sum feast. While I can usually just take antihistamines, and have stomach pains for few hours, there are people who can literally die from just the smallest amount of nuts.
I'm always a fan of yours and thank you for this video. This is my next project now after I followed your chinese pickled vegetables. Also, I hope you will create other recipes using chinese pickled vegetables since as of the moment I only knew one which is stir fry ground pork with pickled green bean.
I love my clay pot. It’s cooks great and looks beautiful too
😍😍 thanks for the recipe and introduction! I didn’t know you could use it in noodles as well
Can't wait to try this. Please put links to the spices you use. It's difficult trying to figure out what they are in the Target/Walmart/Amazon/Local stores.
You look very pretty with your new hair cut🌺❤️
Hi Mandy
Thank you so much for sharing all these delicious recipes!
What oil do you recommend for cooking?
Kind regards
Tomas
Denmark
I use peanut oil for general cooking and soybean oil for deep frying.

Thank you for your answer🙂
I'll check my local Asian food store.
Oh wow, I love all the recipes! I'll make the spice soon. You cut your hair and it looks great!
Hey Mandy, are you able to do a recipe with the sausage’s planning on trying to make them..🤤🤤
You can just use the sausage make a simple stir fry - czcams.com/video/-50kfs0zWJM/video.html
wow yummy BBQ ❤💯🙏👍
I like the New look
Iconic
Your awesome and awesome video be safe out there 😎👍🙏
Love these recipes!:) I have the store bought BBQ powder and wonder what else to cook with it other than for skewers. Do you have recipes for shi san xiang powder (13 spices mix)? I made fried rice with it, but you only need to use a very small amount so I don't know how to finish up the seasoning mix.
Thank you for this recipe! I was thinking that this recipe would be great for diets and you confirmed it. I'm also glad the sausage stuffer is back in stock. I'm a single person who doesn't need a huge mechanical machine, and your sausage stuffer is perfect.
ETA: You could use this seasoning in fried rice too?
Yes, you can use it in fried rice.
I simply love you, you sweet your voice yr persona and most of all, I thank you have a humble attitude. I m a fan of yr videos, I m a 67 year old aunt . Just bought one of your woks for your sweet and sour pork recipe for my wife. I’ll let you know how the pan holds up 👍
I had ordered something close to this recipe but isn’t spicy it’s called chicken on a stick delicious from my local Chinese restaurant 😊
Can you do a Chicken stir fry in Black Bean sauce recipe
Mandy, I really like the new Hairstyle
for the lamb skewers if you cover the top of the stick all the way with meat then the top wont burn that way you only have to cover the bottom part of the skewer with foil.
That souo❤❤❤❤
Drools
All the recipes are delicious, thank you for your efforts. I just want to ask about the sausage, for Muslims, we will make it with Beef, but for the cooking wine, what replacement can we use?
3 tbsp of beef stock
@@SoupedUpRecipes thank you so much for the quick response and we really appreciate you
I💗💗Asian cuisine.
My partner puts this on everything… and i mean EVERYTHING.. I didn’t realize how easy it was to make tho 😂
Hi. Can you teach me how to do laotiao? I’m crazy over this snack lately. There are some video in CZcams but i love to follow your instruction more. ❤
Hi Mandy, great video! I'm a new fan here. Can I use onion powder, instead of garlic powder? Thanks 😊
It's your mix, you can do what you want.
Hello Mandy! Are the ingredients for the spice powder readily available in US stores? If not, which ones are most likely to be in Chinese market? Thanks for your authentic Chinese culinary experience.
Hi, I believe you can purcahse spicy chili flake, non-spicy or mild chili powder (replace it with sweet paprika), cumin, roasted sesame seeds, garlic powder, white pepper, and roasted peanut in regular supermarkets.
You will have to purchase Sichuan peppercorn and chicken bouillon powder from Asian markets.
Much thanks

You cut your hair. It looks cute. I am sure in South Florida, it's cooler.
Can i just use 1 Tbsp of Himalayan salt ?
