Somebody could run onstage, tackle Steve Gadd, and he would still be unwaveringly solid in the pocket of whatever he was playing. He's unflappable beyond words, still to this day. Truly one of the very best ever.
And again in a mysterious way Steve 'Gadds' his old stuff and makes it sound brand new.
Steve Gadd is such an inspiration, he really gets in the pocket of a groove.
DAMN!!!! GADD is the ultimate groove master! especially during the organ solo… the groove is KILLING!!!!!!!!!
The floor toms at the end of the horn solo are golden.

Awesome! When I worked as a PA filming Sinatra's last studio album, LA Is My Lady, in 1984 and saw that Steve would be drumming I thought, he's rock drummer having only known him through his Paul Simon days. Wow was I wrong! The guy can play anything.
