Pretty much. I dated around, telling even guys who were deep into traditionalism that I'm waiting for marriage, only to have them berate me that I'm naive and no man will want someone inexperienced. So far they've been right.

In an interview 2 or 3 years ago Milo said if he hadn’t been groomed by the men that sexually abused him in his teen years, he would probably be straight. No matter what is going with Milo I wish him the best and pray the Lord guides him.

Honestly I've never come across any person in the lgbtq community that wasn't molested or sexually abused.
I was when I was all screwed up as hell but I chose not to worry about any kind of lifestyle until I could figure out what was right.
I went to counseling and a healing and deliverance. 10 years I can say I am attracted to men and one day I will be married and I'm a woman a biological woman

I was never sexually abused or anything but I’m still full blown attracted to women.
I have to wonder if some of these cases aren’t someone as a teen saying they’re gay and being thrown into a world of promiscuity because gay kids aren’t taught about saving themselves for one special person or waiting until you’re ready for a baby to have sex (I know no baby will come of it, but it’s still a good time frame for someone to become emotionally mature before they have sex).
Most gay kids get thrown headfirst into the soup or neglected when they say they’re gay because their parents either don’t know what to say or write them off as a lost cause, or the worst, they want to be so supportive of their kid’s orientation they forget their child is still a child and shouldn’t be having sex with anyone. And most boys don’t get anti-rape training the way girls do, and a lot of kids will think it’s okay to go off with someone of the same gender (we’re going to hang out) but hangouts turn into other things.
Japan (and I think Korea) has it written into law that students can’t date or have sex. Maybe we should look at something similar.

I'm straight, I chose for many years not to engage in sexual activity until I married. It wasn't always easy, but I have no regrets. I've been married for twenty five years, and couldn't be happier!

To give you peace of mind about falling short; which I often need so perhaps it would help you too, you should know that Paul specifically states that when you're saved your soul is circumcised from your body. Your body maintains the desire for things of the flesh but your soul develops a desire for the things of God. As long as your soul strives after the things of God then all sins are accounted to your body instead and your soul remains spotless. This should be fundamental teaching in every church but it's not...

In the Gospel of John just before His discussion with Nicodemas where He uses the term “born again” Jesus was out baptizing with the Apostles. Then in John 3 where He explains the meaning of the phrase He says one must be born again “by water and the Spirit “. The whole Protestant idea that it means to “accept Jesus a lord and Savior “ is a tradition of men.

I think this is Awesome. I am a Christian woman who practices abstinence because I am single. My roommate is a gay man who holds himself to the same standard. It's the perfect pure relationship.

As a gay guy who now chooses to live celibate due to my religious and personal beliefs, I have also been attacked in some cases by people who I once called friend because of my decision. It seems kinda weird to think that people are upset with me for what I am or am not doing in my bedroom. It just goes to show that what is good is now called evil and what is evil is now called good.
It truly is sad that you have had to experience that. I used to take it personally when it happened to me but I have come to realize that you receive applause and acceptance when you go from being straight to a LGTBQ identity but you are not afforded the same courtesy if you make a conscious decision to live contrary to what is expected of you which is very hypocritical. Stand your ground and hold on to your convictions. No one outside of God has the right to tell you otherwise.
Good for you. It is strange how people will try and change you. I had to cut off a friend because she said I talked to much about God. We all have things to sacrifice but the sacrifice is worth it. I’m straight but I’m also celibate because it makes more sense for me to be single and focus on my own salvation. I also have never been in love and were in the end times so it doesn’t make sense anyways for people to search for love. God already loves us so what more do we need?

@@milohenry1233 I did "live my life" for a while. I had 3 boyfriends who I was sexually active with. One who I had sex with 4-5 times a day. I've been down that road before. And then I made the decision to come back to God. This is my decision. I know that there is some happiness in having boyfriends, but I also know there is happiness in following God.

It happens to women though, I have a friend who was married for 25 years and her husband came out as gay. It was heartbreaking for her. But oddly in that situation everyone just congratulates him (like the Philip Schofield public example in the UK) I think this is a warning for trans etc that labelling yourself at a young age with things that won't necessarily be how you feel at a later stage in life.

I've known 3 men who were gay, gay since adolescence. They each fell in love, with a woman. Married her and are now very happy with their wives. One of them is approaching his 20th wedding anniversary. People tell me this is impossible and I am making it up. But I assure you this is a true story, it is in fact 3 true stories.
One of the men worked in a gay dominated field. Marrying his wife destroyed his career. He can not work in that field ever again. Fortunately his wife's career was growing very successful at that point, so this friend became a house-husband taking care of their daughter while wife worked. But he still paid a terrible price for following his heart.

Precisely. If sexuality is fluid it should go both ways. I've been thinking this for a long time. I personally thought I was bisexual until I had a relationship with a woman and then I never felt attracted a woman ever again. Personally I think the seed was planted by something outside of me.
Because it depends on external influence. If people are trying to actively make you doubt about you being straight, you're gonna doubt (if you're not sure of what you think/believe/are). And a lot of people who are gay is because of trauma too (rape, bad experiences, lack of a parent).

Priests do that and the end up gay, or worse. Maybe milo need to find a nice wifey. His struggle was always obvious. He has some healing to do, life is a process of turning back to God. All the best for his journey.

Child Abuse (sexual or otherwise) is higher in households than in the priesthood/celibacy. So celibacy is not the problem. Having a wifey doesn’t stop married priests/pastors from having a similar rate of sexual abuse as the Catholic Church.

@@amyj4283 nothing wrong with celibacy, if your called to it. The priest in the Bible were married. You don’t marry God. Anyway none is perfect. But the cult of catholic bishops nuns and clergy if full of a history creepy cultish practice. And I’m sure Milo could find women that does it for him.
I think it’s the term “ex-gay” that bothers people. It makes it sound as though sexuality is a choice or can be changed. Milo is still gay, just celibate.

As a catholic, I want to say that I saw this coming. I have followed Milo for a few years (not too closely as he does have a bit more of a potty mouth than I can bear. But, I like him. He is so incredibly honest even in his gross sinning... for want of a better way to put it). I have learnt a lot from him. I have heard him talk about Catholicism and dare to address catholic topics that most of our top ckerics don't have the courage or conviction to address e.g., his prolife, pro traditional family stance. He has done this even while dressed as a flaming camp provocateur. You couldn't put Milo into a neat little box. But all along, he was honest, maybe wrong but honest. His interview with Michael Voris was one of the most moving things I have ever watched. His honesty and his awareness of his own fallen state were very touching. That day, I specifically said a rosary for him and Voris. With Milo, I have always felt that he would either be the greatest of sinners or the greatest of saints. If his conversion isn't just another performance for him (and I don't believe it is), he could well one day be a St Augustine for our time. May God bless him and continue to lead him forward. May St Joseph, to whom he has dedicated himself, help him relearn how to be a man. God bless Milo. God bless you too Michael 🙏🏾.
