The scene where they brought message about Dona's death is the most telling of the post colonial African culture, where our grandfathers in Nigeria had so much trust and respect for the teachers and believed in them so much . If not for the teacher, Mazi Osuofia would not have believed the man in suit at all. This trust for teachers made our grand parents send their kids to schools and they went on to become highly educated people. I think that in part, led the way to Nigeria becoming the most educated population in Africa, and indeed the rest of the world.

This movie is a work of art, it perfectly depicted the life shortly after colonialism. The life without technology and politics. The background sounds and narration would go unnoticed but if you’re into filmmaking, you would know the makers of this movies are genius
