    As of 05/06/2023 I just bought this on Amazon for $270 in mint condition and AT&T gave me the $95 unlimited business data plan with zero throttling for $65 dollars a month for being a new customer! This thing is a game changer! I take it with me everywhere!

      @jamesbond-kl6sp if you mean me.
      It’s still going strong. I would recommend purchasing a few extra batteries for it because I don’t believe they intended for it to be constantly plugged in and I’ve had some issues finding the correct adapter for it that didn’t cause it to overheat. Once that part was good I’ve had no issues really. I take with me every in case I have my laptops or iPad without cellular (I do have both but the former is a 10 inch and easier to carry around versus the iPad Pro with cellular that is 12 inch). I actually just settled in a new place about two months ago so I’m not moving around as much as I was and the place came with internet access paid for but I still use the AT&T box because I don’t loss connection or have lagging issues. And sometimes I will connect to the building Wi-Fi which is technically faster but generally when I check it will have disconnected and auto reconnected to the AT&T box. I’m an artist, graphic designer and about to begin school for computer engineering and this thing make life easier for all these things, even the occasional gaming and movie streaming.

    We have a similar service through AT&T but it’s with a company called first net. Of course, we get that service because Natasha is a nurse. I love that they have open this up to businesses, though, so you can continue to utilize this for work while you travel. We have the same nighthawk router, and it’s awesome! I love the fact that it has an ethernet port to plug directly into my computer for work. It’s true, we have seen upload speeds of 600 or more in some of the locations we I’ve traveled to you. As of 9.21.2022, you can only get these M6 and M6 pro routers thru stores as they are no longer available online. Supplies are so limited that stores cannot get inventory, only order as customers purchase. The ATT Business Essentials plan will NOT access entertainment or streaming services. Not all ATT store employees know that. Learned the hard way. Also, ATT no longer supports the M5 5200 version of this router. Check carefully with the stores before buying. We're on our third attempt to match a router and a plan because of all the recent ATT changes.

    It's important to know that ATT calculates data usage at a rate much much higher than actual use to get your $$$$$$$ in their pocket. I became aware of this by adding an additional source and comparing usage with each. 1.2 TB with ATT - 280 with Starlink for the same usage. Most never think a company like ATT would be this dishonest. And most don't know how to calculate usage so they just pay up each month.
    And believe me when I say the only reason ATT is offering this "unlimited" service is due to competition being so keen. As soon as they get enough signed up they'll change the rules. It's what they do.

    So I just found out about this from my local AT&T store. I own a business which got me the exact same setup you're showing in this video. I told the sales guy this would be for streaming, xbox, ps4, general home use. He said, no throttle whatsoever, no data limits. All sounded too good to be true.
    Now after doing research and finding video's like yours I'm seeing that AT&T definitely says this setup is not for use in streaming, gaming etc. Has anyone used it for these things? I just ordered this system last night and thinking of canceling if it's simply not going to work for my needs or they're going to just cancel us for using the system for prohibited services.

    • @1StrangeAdventure
      @1StrangeAdventure  Před 2 lety +1

      So the interesting thing is that our business is based on social media, streaming, etc. We have never had a problem and they have never asked us why we are using it for social media nor have they asked what our business is based on. That's not to say they never will, but they haven't to this point and it's been a long time. I will say we use it primarily for work which is through a VPN connection, so they are not able to see what we are doing online anyways. Not trying to sway your decision but wanted to share our experience so far.

    • @tfactor7998
      @tfactor7998 Před 2 lety

      @@1StrangeAdventure I was considering the vpn route as well as they definitely can't monitor traffic through vpn's. All in all the deal is too good not to try. Currently paying $300 a month for Viasat that limits us to 300gig before throttle, horrible latency and mediocre DL speeds. Until Starlink is available to us I'm ready to try anything to get out of paying Viasat's rediculous pricing.

      Create a business. The rep at my local AT&T store was very lenient with setting this plan up for me. It’s $91 a month, I end up using either Band 2 or Band 14 with a Nighthawk M1 router with an outdoor MIMO antenna and I pull speeds anywhere from 20-100 down and 2-11 up depending on band and network usage. Im in the process of upgrading the M1 to an M6 Pro or perhaps a Mofi 5500. I have a programmable timer set up to reboot the M1 every morning at 4:45am so that it has a chance to refresh itself which seems to positively impact speeds. I tried getting T-mobile home internet but it’s not available at my location, neither is Spectrum. Starlink is now available at my location but I really don’t wanna have to pay another 700 bucks or more to try it and I’ve heard that they have been messing with speeds lately so I’m not in a hurry to get that anymore. If I can stabilize my current setup a bit and improve my speeds just a tad I will be a happy camper.
