I think this game has a big future. Balance between builds would be very hard, but I believe you can get over this problem.

It could also create opportunity: seasonal updates. Easier to return a part nerfed after it is pulled out of rotation. Obviously that's kind of more if the game hits it BIG. But I think it very well could.
I think it looks good just a little bit to open, maybe try adding more mines to fit the vi- feel? That would close off some open spaces and help aesthetically!!
Agree. The current layout reminds me a bit like battlefield which caters to larger scale fights. For an arcade shooter something a bit more cramped feels much better

@@D0mD6v i think using your decorative assets (crates, barrels, trees etc.) and place them not just up against building walls but in the open would help. as well as uneven floors like hills, elevations, water etc.

dude your simplistic models and textures are amazing, my tip to make them all 1000% better is to add a good stylized outline shader and some good lighting.

also just realized something else that would make your game beautiful, basically instead of a matt material on everything add some variety to the materials, like that iron crate should have some reflection to it

that looks awesome, my suggestion is that, maybe you should make more attachments to the gun, or entire new gun cores, and maybe objectives and game modes would be cool. A mode I came up with is a team deathmatch where you start off with the bare gun and a few points to spend on attachments to add on the gun, and you gain points from getting kills and passively, and dying make you lose points.

It would be very interesting if you added different ammunition types. From the Depths has a pretty in depth munition editor. A few more games i thought had interesting mechanics were CoD Advanced Warfare and Loadout. Advanced warfare had somewhat customizable killstreaks, which i think the concept could be applied to things like deployable turrets or air support. Loadout had an interesting deployable turret; the turret would use a copy of whatever weapon you were holding when you placed it. This lead to interesting strategies of setting up healing rocket turrets or even sniper turrets. These two concepts would be very fun if combined. For example being able to customize a turret to be remote controlled, automated, on treads, quad copter flying, or even being able to direct where it aims and fires. Combine everything I’ve said in this comment could lead to players calling smoke mortar strikes from their turrets or locking down areas with turrets set to shoot down incoming rockets.

I am very interested to see how the gun building part will work. I too am currently making a stage for my game but opted out in using wave function collapse to do so. I think what would look really good in this setting is like a hand drill grip, but the mag is the battery and it has a overheating mechanic where you can overheat and you get buffed fire for like a half second, depending on the gun, so a sniper would shoot harder, or an smg would shoot faster, a shotgun could fire double bullets, idk

The sounds are good but they could be juicier. Hearing that bell sound when hitting a headshot is actually peak.🗿🗿🗿
I can recommend texture atlases. Drawing one set of bricks next to each other and align the UV accordingly, so you don't have to repaint everything when creating a new piece containing bricks

This looks like enhance studios style which is really awesome! Always liked their assets. If you ever decide to do like a fantasy monster dungeon type deal as a side game to this, you could probably just pop their monsters right in! 😁👍🏽 for real though this looks really awesome!

Cool project man. If you're worried about grass effecting performance, take a look into GPU Instancing tools. I went down the grass rabbit hole and tried about a dozen different approaches. With GPU Instancing I have massive island covered in grass with excellent performance.

gunbuilding is a cool concept
If youre content one one large map, spread it out more and have more lanes, lines of sight overlooking those lanes to places.
Hell, i should probably just do what your doing and actually make the thing but your game is looking like a passion project turned reality for others, and i cant wait to see it through

its looking good already! maybe a cool idea is to make some sort of map builder. because you can build your guns maybe you can build the map too. the name says custom fire so the map can also be custom if you know what i mean. its just an idea i had while watching this video. keep up the good work!
I would definitely grind that game. Next, I think you should make some menus, and possibly a levelling system, where you can unlock gun parts, instead of just having them all straight away.

Really nice visuals. Love the style of the character models and their cartoon hands. Could see this doing really well if the theme/story is more deeply fleshed out to compliment it and feed into each other. That is assuming the gameplay mechanics are great as well. They always come first, but the stylized stuff is usually what sticks in the mind as long as the gameplay is solid enough. Like imagine a backyard neighborhood kids/ed, edd, and eddie style air soft, paint ball, or what ever your going between neighborhood of kids, or even more crazy and pick another setting like what if they had these types of hobby sports in a cyber punk, space colony, or what ever other setting. Just hope it doesn't keep to JUST another random gun game like the style on steam suggests. Can already see tons of potential from the art style alone, but you give it a nice setting to compliment it and it will be even more identifiable/memorable.
Maybe I am crazy and over hyped with that brief inspiration lol... I got hit with inspiration when I seen the first person perspective hands and other aspects. You got something there that kinda really clicks. It may be the hand especially. Maybe it would be fine, but...idk...The potentiallllll...... xD
I’d like to see some Unreal Tournament style maps. That sort of raw early 2000s multiplayer game map

Really nice art. Only suggestion would be to add some variation to the terrain; it seems really flat and open. I understand this is all prototyping and elevation can take some planning.
I suggest watching break downs on tf2 and cs maps to understand how map pacing works and to help you put together levels that serve a purpose to your gameplay - rather than just placing assets haphazardly. You’re doing great, can’t wait for the next update.

I think it looks really good! (Hopefully I can play on mac lol) some advice though - I’d try making different aiming crosshares - for example, guns with spread have a wider retical, and and guns with a tighter spread having a retinal that’s more compact.
here’s some examples:
Wider spread (shotgun build): ( • )
smaller spread (smg , sniper, ar, etc): - • -
Super nice ! I love the vibe but I think it would be more awesome if you push the si fi junky vibe of the gun onto the environment with some greebles / decals / pipes and cables

@@D0mD6v the lower poly trees are amazing aswell, you should try making some oaks and maple trees with that style. and any tips for making progress as quick as you do?
Hopefully this doesn't bait you with scope creep, but building armor would be super cool and help add some unique elements to the game in that dance with the gun balancing aspect. Maybe you can add some specific armor pieces that slow you down but make you sturdier, or increase your blast resistance but no effect to your bullet resistance, or energy weapons vs bullet weapons? Just some cool ideas! Really awesome job with this, the style looks great.

I think it would be nicer to have the sprint as a mode solely dedicated to "parkour". I am hoping to see secondary functionality to guns also!
due to how last minute the theme was, it really feels like your drills are there to collect dirt, maybe make it less like grassy terrain and more like a quarry?

just want to give one advice, actually few as a gamer
1. make your make your hand animation while running more smooother
2.make it 6v6 where we have to capture 3 drill machines and each unlock new gun mods
3. plz plz plz add character sound effects such as " reloading!!"(shouting) and some rough sound while climbing.
4. add proxmity chat to make the game more fun and interactive.
5.if you can add distructable walls like rainbow six siege then this game might blow up.
plz plz plz reply, I know this is a lot lot lot of work. but please implement atleast one of them.
