    • @eva-mygardontranslation9037
      @eva-mygardontranslation9037 Před 4 lety +12

      Yes you're right, it does seem easier. However, easier often doesn't mean better and for cups here's why: you may have 10, 15 or even 20 grams difference with the recipe because people don't fill their cups the same. And with cups, it's so hard to divide recipes! Stick with your scale and grams, because you can see more and more baking youtubers or baking bloggers using grams. I think they feel they have to to be reliable to people. :)

    These are so good! Nice and tender yet set up. Not to sweet which makes sense because the icing is sweet enough. Perfect edges. I made heart shaped for Valentine’s Day.

    I literally just made these for Hanukkah, and they came out AMAZING!
    Everyone loved them!!!
    Crispy on the edges, soft and slightly chewy in the middle.
    Perfect golden color.
    I used a magen of David cookie cutter and a Ginger bread man for fun. They most definitely kept their shape and check out his royal icing video.
    We had a cookie decorating party.
    Depending on the size of your cookie cutter, I had big and small so we easily made a little more than two dozen w/one batch.
    I used 1/3 Cup of corn starch like he had adjusted and mentioned in the video and they did in all honesty come out fantastic.
    I put it flat in the fridge for 30 minutes, because I was working on the second batch of dough.
    The fist batch i used Pure Vanilla extract. On the second batch I added a pinch of caramel extract.
    What's great is that you can change the flavor so easily.
    Bravo to this recipe 👏🏆

      Hi is this recipe where you reworked it for better results? I used his original recipe it crumbly and not great tasting. I'm confused after reading so mixed results from the same recipe. I hate hit and miss recipes. I had to cream more butter add more sugar and extract to not was my ingredients 🙃

    I used twice the flour that you said to put in cornstarch bc I didn’t have any and they still had a super clean cut and did not spread! I also used brown sugar and desi ghee in a separate batch and they turned out amazing!! In both batches I didn’t even put the dough in the fridge and still they didn’t spread and they had a clean cut! Thank you sm for such a perfect and easy recipe!!
