    Ralph and team, I have been watching your videos for a month now. All the reviews, your production videos… even comparing your competition, hands down I’m all in! I wish I found you about 6-7 years earlier. I wish you many blessings and continued success. Thanks for being a honest, all American company.

    Great looking product, I appreciate how outstanding the reviews I’ve seen are, but also it’s cool to get a run down from the man himself. Going in to a winter here in Maine, not sure I’ll be able to get one this season but when I can I will. Looks like a number one piece of gear that, for a person working in the woods like me, will be worth the investment. Thanks for the video, T

    I quite like the shirt you have on,and if its the same way made, with same materials as anorack a useful shirt, a lot of the bush craft garments are also used in the farming fraturnity even though obviously do not wear the same way due to the abuse they get.

    Have you considered two way side zips?

    • @WeatherWool
      @WeatherWool  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, we have. But we don't see much, if any advantage. There is a tab at the bottom of each side panel that can be buttoned to the other side panel, so the sides can be left open and buttoned together at the bottom, to prevent flapping. That seemed to be a simpler and less bulky way to provide essentially the same functionality that a double zip might provide. Thanks --- Ralph

    Ralph, good morning and Happy Holidays! Have you guys considered making a less expensive anorak, without all the bells and whistles but still a quality garment? I saw the Lester River Bushcraft Wool Boreal Shirt Anorak and I love it’s simplicity. I think adding a similar version for around $375-$400 would be a home run! Thoughts?

    • @WeatherWool
      @WeatherWool  Před rokem +5

      Hi! Thanks for the thoughts, and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah to you!! I don't know what we could leave off. Side zips are mandatory, hood adjustments mandatory. We could leave off the chest pockets, zippered inner pouch, organizer strip. But a lot of people really like those features and omitting them would not reduce the price anywhere near $400. But the main reason: We always make the best garment we can figure out. We change designs only to make improvements.
      THANKS AGAIN!! --- Ralph

    This is a very well made product but it's far too expensive!!! I purchased some wool fabrics by the yard and made my own for about 100$ USD. My homemade anorak is just as good. Like i said they make great products but they're waaaaay to expensive.

    • @codyallen211
      @codyallen211 Před 5 měsíci

      Pricey, indeed. But if generally cared for, a lifelong investment.

    • @jimmccullough5091
      @jimmccullough5091 Před 2 měsíci

      I honestly get sick of hearing this. You literally have no clue what you are talking about or what has gone in to the development and production of this fabric. The development story is out there if you care to watch it, but it's clear you don't care anyway. To compare your fabric and your homemade garment to Weatherwool is honestly, laughable. Again, your ignorance about wool and quality manufacturing is obvious. It's also clear that you've never held or inspected a garment from Weatherwool. People don't bat an eye at spending $1500 on a rifle and scope or spending a couple days In Vegas, but when it comes to spending $800 for something that has a lifetime guarantee, that your kids and their kids will be able to wear, and that will quite literally save your life, suddenly it's outrageous to spend that amount of money. I'm not rich. I budgeted for a year to get my Weatherwool because I understand how important it is. If you can't see the importance of spending money on quality that's fine, but don't try and fool people by comparing your low grade material and low grade construction homemade junk to Weatherwool. It's very hard to fix ignorance.
