  • Weather Wool produces a line of premium garments from high quality wool fabric. One product from Weather Wool has captured the attention of outdoor enthusiasts and bush crafters. Al's Anorak is a unieque garment and I am glad to have acquired one. I look forward to testing it over the coming months and years.

    Two years with my heavy weight lynx pattern Anorak. Wear it all the time. I would say 3 season. Lots of pockets. High quality. Is expensive...cry once category. Should last most of a lifetime.

    Weatherwool has a cult following for good reasons. I've had and used all sorts of wool jackets & anoraks but weatherwool has been the best I've ever used.

    Thanks for the review. You said that you got the Med, if you dont mind, how tall are you and weight? Trying to get a rough estimate.

    How would the waterproof / water resistants of the Swanndri compare with the weatherwool

    • @TheGearTester
      @TheGearTester  Před 9 měsíci

      They are both manufactured from wool. They do not have any truly waterproof properties.

      @@TheGearTester very fair point.
      I have a Swanndri and I’m just wondering if the weatherwool is any better at repelling water.
      Weatherwool would be 3 times the price in my region. Just trying to make an informed decision.

      @@davidjmcintyre5981 The Weather Wool is substantially thicker than my older Swanndri bush shirt. It takes longer in a light rain for the water to penetrate the WeatherWool. Because of the thickness of the WeatherWool it also retains heat better in wet conditions. My WeatherWool Anorak is medium weight.

      @davidjmcintyre5981 Weatherwool has several videos on their CZcams channel of people jumping in water amd getting soaked to show that even wet their cloth retains insulation.

    So how much is it?

  • @FREEDUMB4ALL
    @FREEDUMB4ALL Před 9 měsíci

    Well made product but it's far too expensive. You can purchase similar wool fabrics by the yard and make one yourself for about 100$ USD. that's what i did and I returned the Al's Anorak as mine was customized just for me and about 4x cheaper. Anyhow i wouldn't spend thar kinda money if i were you. Just my opinion on it. Thanks for the review.
