How much do you want to bet that surgeon requested a court date move, was told "no," and the surgeon thought, "I'll show them."
The judge probably wasn't even aware of that, as i doubt he makes the appointments (if that's the right word)
He actually requested a time after his surgeries were supposed to wrap up, several of his surgeries went longer than expected and the court called his case just as he was about to walk out of his final surgery of the day. His colleague was closing the incision, he was done, he just hadn't made it out of the operating room when they called him. He's tech illiterate and hadn't used Zoom, let alone been in Zoom Court, so he wasn't sure if it was okay to say "Your Honor, I'm a surgeon and a procedure ran long. I'm done but not out of the operating room, can I take a moment to scrub out, or can you call the next case while I finish?"
I saw a longer version of that video (or maybe it was another surgeon idk) and I could've sworn he was in the middle of plastic surgery not a more serious or time sensitive surgery that couldn't be rescheduled. Could be wrong, I don't know how many surgeons have had zoom calls for court in the middle of surgery.
@@enjoyingthecrisis5931 I read up on it. He was in fact actually technically finished and able to let the other surgeon close up the patient. In an interview he said he was nervous when it was his turn to be called up and it didn't occur to him to step out into the hall to have his zoom meeting.
Let’s hope he has more excuse than that otherwise he can kiss his medical license good bye. That patients gonna sue him, his partner, their hospital, and probably their dog.
I was told in Little League (in the 90s) that we were only allowed to slide into home feet first. I see why. Thanks Coach!

As a non-law student I would study in the law library all the time. It was always the quietest place on campus. PS my good friend said he went to law school with you, so that’s neat.
Med school libraries are usually pretty good too.
Any university library worth a damn is probably gonna be quiet. Every librarian I've met so far take their job really seriously, and part of it is making sure nobody is making unecessary noice or chatter.
In the public library there are homeless men loudly groaning on the daily 😭
The wallet holster had me crying laughing then the face u made just dead stare, with a little bit of lazy eye just had me literally trying to breath
I’m currently studying to become a nurse and although it’s not forbidden to tell off patients who deserve it (being racist, sexist, etc.), things like nurses hitting or hurting their patients happen much more often than you’d think. My instructor was telling me about when she was having a clinical study at a nursing facility with her students and every time this specific nurse would enter a room, you’d hear elderly people screaming because she would pinch them when they wouldn’t comply to her every word
>:(
Telling people off is okay like yeah but like slapping someone should only be self defence wtf
Thats downright dangerous, besides being horrific. If someone's family found that out and they weren't afraid of violence or consequences, it could go real bad. Hopefully that lady was fired.
Haha prob ok with the older generation.
@@pastrie42 that type of behavior by the nurse would be reason enough to shut down the clinical trials at that site. Any type of violation/abuse to any patients, but especially vulnerable populations like the elderly, would come with a slew of safety violations and protocol deviations. Hopefully that woman was fired and had all her certifications/licenses revoked
Horrifying.
Tom's flower shirt is the most drip I've seen him wear. Shit is straight 🔥!

So I actually work in a warehouse making those industrial window frames in the last clip, and I work with suction cups like those on a daily basis, lifting sheets of glass ranging in hundreds of pounds as well as metal framed doors. (yes, those are suction cups they're using to lift a heavy piece of glass and metal like that.) I don't work on the field like those gentlemen but I do manufacture the frames they need. So, by what I could tell the machine was warning them of pressure loss early on and even though most of the time minor drops in pressure are normal as long as the machine compensates for it, you must always watch the pressure gauge to make sure you're not going to drop to dangerous levels. Also, you must maintain the machine itself by making sure the cups aren't cracked or torn as well as clean them to make sure the buildup of dirt doesn't interfere with the vacuum inside the machine, not to mention staying aware that nothing is under the cups and acting as an obstruction, ultimately causing a failure. Unfortunately most of the time workers tend to let certain maintenance needs go unchecked, they get complacent and take for granted the fact that the machine will always do its job. Fact of the matter is: you need to always be aware of what's going on with your machine, especially if you're lifting hundreds of pounds of material like that, no one will do it for you and most of the time you can't count on anyone you work with to do upkeep, in general just do it yourself and if anyone gives you lip forget em. At the end of the day you'll go home with your life, all your limbs, and no hospital visit. And that's all that matters. Stay safe people.
Thank you for this very informative explanation! It makes more sense why the machine was beeping at them!
It actually looks like the suction machine was fine and still attached to the glass securely (until it shattered). Going frame by frame, it appears to have actually released the lifting cable from the machine. Whether it broke free or automatically detached it to avoid losing suction on the glass is something I'm not aware of, personally, but it definitely started sounding that alarm the instant the cable tension was lost suddenly. The person observing was correct in saying that the cable "was just about maxed out." If the cable itself had been poorly maintained or additional load were applied through horizontal loading, it'd be very easy to negligently overload the lifting cable.
Practical Engineering just did a video on lift cables and a cursory overview of the kinds of stresses and failures they experience.
@@Kalaydascope no problem ^^
@@KiithnarasAshaa this is true. I re watched it as well. Seems like the lift failed but I could still hear the vacuum working to add pressure as they lifted. So I kinda assumed. But yeah it seems like the lift failed. I really hope no one was hurt.
Its crazy that some people will overlook a relatively cheap rubber replacement for a few seconds of laziness. I used to do multi million dollar maintenance, and guys would not want to change out 2 dollar orings because they were too far from reach.

I know hunting without property owners consent is a felony in Texas but that’s about it.
If you're hunting *on their property.*
If they engage and injure the animal *off* your property and you do not allow them to retrieve it, you can be charged with Theft and Animal Cruelty.
@@digitalis2977 thank you for adding context, as stated the only thing I knew about that is was a felony, wasn’t sure if it applicable to the situation or not.
Also interfering with a hunt is a crime, not sure if it applies to a hunt that ends on your property though... I live in Texas, and I don't want people on my property, but I really don't want a bear on my property, and if some guy pulled up and said we got a bear treed in your yard can we retrieve it, my response would be only if I can shoot it... ;)
I think Gold Shaw Farm is in Vermont though.
It's called a residency for a reason , surgeons basically live at the hospital
I saw that case in the news. That doctor was a plastic surgeon at his own private practice. He could’ve rescheduled the surgery.
@@MJM17 if it was plastic surgery then yes 100%. They can wait a day to get their fake lives back on track. Unless it was the off chance it was needed to fix aesthetics, still can wait a day but they have a better reason at least
@@taco8951 not all plastic surgeries are just face lifts and breast implants
@@pipemasterplays I know that. After reading my comment however I saw how I might have said it wrong. By aesthetics I meant more like you wanted to fix some scarring or damage that was caused so your body can look more normal.
@@taco8951 still honestly shitty to say people who get plastic surgeries have "fake lives". these procedures were made for injuries in the first place. and wanting to change how you look is fine. if anything, it means they're looking more like themselves (projecting how we see ourselves through our looks is an important part of expressing ourselves)
The guy with the hunting complaint actually hunts his own property. He's a farmer who is objecting to a large pack of loose dogs on his property for the ?3rd? time.
The goose guy hunts? Makes sense, farmers are usually down to earth.
Not sher about what happened previously but what was in the video was text book dog recovery ask permission and get the dog's trust me the guy hunting is not happy about it either depending on how big of an area he has to hunt on it might be the end of the day because the dog's might follow the same track
If hunters wear camo and just walk around shooting, do hunters shoot other hunters often over there?
@@sadmermaid Ask our former vice president.
@@sadmermaid hunters usually wear orange vests when theres a likelyhood of other hunters around the animals cannot discern the orange but we can so that helps. also good gun discipline is very important which unfortunately a lot of country-boy types dont care about because safety is lame. but idealy you dont shoot or even get ready to shoot unless you can directly see the target and whats behind.
7:13 To explain: The pilot knew those two were there and did this on purpose to mess with 'em. He knew they had ear protection, he knew they were far from major tripping/hitting hazards, and he knew the right amount of power to add so it wouldn't be a legitimate danger to either him or them. He definitely did not max out the throttle. They were supposed to be there (high-vis vests for a reason). Iirc, they were there to make sure everything was running smoothly (i.e. check for mechanical issues or FOD).
So you can read the mind of the pilot and even psychically read "his" gender all through a CZcams video.
What lotto numbers should I choose tomorrow?
Well they became FOD
Yeah the construction site video brings back bad memories of working construction when I was younger. What I know still happens and did happen is that every corner you can cut you do cut, and you have either tacit or direct instructions from your supervisors to do so. Things like disabling safety switches and cut offs on tools to not wearing necessary safety gear like harnesses, helmets, steel toed boots, and the plethora of other PPE is rampant. Nobody cares until someone gets their hand caught in in a table saw, that one is personal experience or gets blown off a 3 story building carrying plywood(that one was me)...

Well, I think that’s different
For background situation on that hunting hound situation, check out the channel 'Gold Shaw Farm'. Morgan has a couple of videos up where he had to deal with hound hunters in and around his duck & goose farm. This tik tok he posted was showing this particular guy showing up on his property (and that guy Butch is a big guy in the hound world, apparently) after Morgan posted his first video where he had problems with another group.
There was also a separate incident where a group of people trespassed in the middle of the night. There was a teenager in the group who YELLED at him, claiming she "knew the law".
Another farmer (not Morgan) commented on the video saying that they experienced something similar and the hunters claimed that they "can't control" the dogs. He shrugged and said "if your dogs can't be controlled, I may have to shoot them if they attack my animals". Then SUDDENLY they could call the dogs.
As someone form the UK, i am surprised the farmer can't just shoot the dogs on sight if they are killing farm animals. Farmers where do shoot dogs during lambing season (and they are pets). It seems like if you let a load of hunting dogs off its only fair to shoot them when they are posing a danger to live stock.

Did not think I would see gold shaw farm on this! It's happened twice and he is a duck and goose farmer and I think the first time it happened they shot a raccoon (not in the hunt with the bear)
He also has cattle now! It would be catastrophic if the dogs spooked them since they're extremely skittish. There would be a stampede!
I love how that bear could turn those dogs into a memory but it’s afraid of their noise
Agreed, if y'all can avoid having to sue people, that would actually make me happy. lol

We learned that being a hero like the guys trying to catch the window can get you killed. It’s hard not to try to catch something but just try to remember to say to yourself self if this thing falls it’s not worth it
Yep, I almost learned the hard way once. Guy's were making a four stack bundle of frames in the warehouse one sleepy Friday morning. I was standing just inches away from the impact point where the frames landed like domino's after someone neglected to make sure the stack was secure. I almost went in to push the frames back when I saw them wobble but hesitated when I saw everyone running. Loudest bang I ever heard and was sick to my stomach afterwards. Stuff is scary. Just let it drop, not worth your life.
Yeah, but that window could have definitely killed someone walking down the sidewalk in that area, I'd imagine that is what they are trying to prevent.

Sadly, someone out there thinks it is a good idea…
In the last OSHA violation, i saw something i've seen before, too many times. When something is falling LET IT GO. It is instinctive to try to stop it but you have to just let it go. I saw once just in front of me a guy slipping on some pipes laying on the ground (i told the guys to keep the pipes in neater piles just moments before, it was a loadout of a big arena show...) carrying aluminium framed deck that forms the stage floor and he tried to grab the deck before it hits the ground. He broke all 4 bones in his hand, thumb was saved. The deck swung from the other end, pivoting as the other carrier has not lost his grip, and the poor sods hand was crushed between the concrete floor and the sharp deck edge. And the mad lad picked up the 40kg deck and carried it to the pile some 30 meters away, came back and took his glove off.. the hand was black and swollen double the size. Took over a year to be rehabilitated and he never worked in the industry again, i hope he could still play guitar..
I also saw another accident that weekend, in the same exact position.. We were assembling the stage floor and one guy carrying decks above didn't notice there was a piece missing and he dropped to the ground, some 3m height and landed on his head, with the deck following behind, but he had some luck and the deck landed beside him. The deck could've easily killed him. The dude spent few hours being monitored and came back to work.. Amazing beast of a worker, i picked him in my crew for the season, i got a promotion to crew boss on that very same day, it was the last day of the tour. I had similar accident not long after but dropped only one leg in the hole and banged my groin nicely.. Stage building is not safe, kids.. It is safe now than it ever was but it still is not safe. I left the business just few months later, after another injury, and the worst thing was that the act cancelled the gig that earned me 2 months sick leave... It was the last straw. And no, i could not sue, it is occupational hazard that i was prepared to take and in the end, my own damn fault for not watching where i was going, doing something i had done dozens of times before. I was just lucky to get paid leave, as my calendar was empty near the end of that season. The leg that i hurt still bothered me 2 years later but is now fully ok.
You have to let go when things fall, it is a universal rule, really. Objects in motion have multiple times the load from objects not in motion. A 10kg weight will have so much momentum that you will not be able to stop it once it start accelerating. You just can't, trust me on that. You can hurt yourself badly and worse, the weight might yank you off from otherwise stable platform, and now you are also falling. If you see someone falling, do not try to catch them unless it is a little kid. If someone is just about to fall, that is different from an object already in motion... You WILL underestimate the forces involved.

As a former stage worker, I can tell you a bit about how it typically works. There are companies (light, sound, stage, video, wardrobe) hired to travel with the touring artist, though the touring artist has a tour manager who everyone ultimately answers to. Each department (sound, lights, etc.) is independent from one another and typically has one or two individuals managing their piece of the operation. The venue hosting the performance is obliged to provide local crew that assists setup, performance and tear down, as well as “rigging” (licensed pros who hang cables for all of the overhead steel truss work). The venue contracts with a staffing company to provide “local crew” labor. The staffing agency sends a local crew which is assigned into teams. Each production department is given a team of local crewmen. Stage malfunction would be the responsibility of the stage department and its tour supervisor (in my opinion) as that would be the person most responsible and intimately familiar with how those panels are to be installed and secured before the show performance. Even if his team of local muscle did it wrong, he must ensure that those mistakes are corrected. (He would then start pointing fingers at everyone else and I’m sure the finger pointing game would never end! These stages are often slapped together in about 90 minutes and accidents do happen.)
In a game of D&D, the fart guy is definitely chaotic evil

Regarding the bear:
Had the property owner allowed them to harvest the bear, would it have set a precedent to argue for future encroachments not being trespasses?
So here's how this sort of thing works in Michigan. If given verbal permission to run or harvest a bear on private property a person would be able to go back to the private land in case of another situation. But the property owner has the right to revoke that permission from the hunters.

At what point does actions during a game become negligent enough that the defense would not work? Like say in autosports someone clearly tried to kill someone with their car, that would still be attempted murder, but where is the line? Is there any case law?
Well, in most autoraces, there are specific provisions about driving with gross negligence or danger. So, clearly trying to kill someone with their car would basically say "you aren't acting the the course and expectations of an automobile race." You would then be "trying to murder someone."
Is Kenny Linder liable for killing Jack Toretto?
