I have finally figured out why the Iowa Hawkeyes are as good as they are. Caitlin is a major part of it, but they also have one hell of a transition game and they can run you out of the building if it truly get's rolling. At is very similar to the Showtime Era of the Lakers, they also have great defenders as well so they can play both ways. Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall are also players you cannot go to sleep on they can light it up. They have another force on the inside her name is Hannah Stuelkel who gets boards and will draw contact when she drives the lane to the rim. Caitlin is the only 5 Star player that Iowa has and she makes her teammates better and they all work together as a unit. I am looking forward to Sunday's game it is going to be epic for sure.
Yes Clark carries, but you're 100% right when you say Iowa has a solid team. It's really fun to watch especially some of the shots Martin and Marshal takes when they're feeling it.
Great game. I appreciate the ref's letting them play. A different set of ref's might have called some of the banging down low by LSU and some of the reach ins by Iowa, but they were allowed to play and it was beautiful.

I guess Caitlin Clark is the GOAT by the way she plays: terrific shooter, court generalship, vision, best passing skills I've seen: a complete player. Others have excellent skills in one or the other field. CC has them all.
Angel Reese just isn't that good. She is good, in her lane. But I watched the LSU V. Iowa game. Her defense is weak, except when she is right under the hoop where she can get physical.. Other than that she just kinda stands there. Her offense is much of the same. She's best when she can just body people and lay up or rebound. She's not real fast or agile. I think her team as a whole is very good, and she has her niche, but when you take her out of the crowd where she can't push people around, she looks average at best.
If you double team Caitlin, you just leave all her other teammates open to pass to!

People dont 'hate' LSU so much... ITs "Angel" Reese that draws the ire.. In the case of this game, its about really low character showed by Reese, in Last years Championsip Game between Iowa and LSU...IN the last minute of the game, with LSU leading by double digits , 'Angel" got up in Clark's face, and raiser her hand to Caitlin and started pointing at her 'ring' finger...Caitlin tried to turn and walk away from her, but Reese kept jumping back in front of Clark, waving her hand in her face and pointing to her 'ring' finger...AS well, as doing John Cena's famous "I cant see you" hands in the face gesture, while Caitlin was keeping her cool, accepting the loss, and trying to avoid contact... That is what got LSU on a lot of people's SHIITE LIST...Also, "Angel" was a constant 'behavior' problem on the team for the 23-24 season, getting in trouble with her HC over negative Social Media posts, missing team activities or being late for team activitines, and for getting in several off campus problems during the season... 'Angel' Reese has been playing the 'Low Life' role for the last year or 2...And then blaming her bad behavior on her negative experiences with others... Angel Reese is a 'social media' personality first, and a Basketball Player 2nd...her Talent is basically, above average, coupled with excellent size and length...She is not a 'GREAT' player...She is a very Good Player....But at her current level, everyone is very good...She is not a Game Changer by herself against the other Top 10 or 15 Women's Teams...The only thing she really excels at is Rebounding...And alot of that just comes from her size, and she is fairly athletic so she can move well...She does not shoot particularly well, and her passing is average...
OH MAN TODAY'S SOCIAL MEDIA BULLSHIT AND HYPE WASN'T THERE WHEN CHERYL MILLER PLAYED. CHERYL WAS A COMPLETE PLAYER. SHE WAS A REBOUNDER, OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAYER, TERRIFIC SCORER. SHE COULD PLAY ANYWAY YOU WANTED IT. BY THE WAY SHE WON BACK TO BACK TITLES AND ONE AS A FRESHMAN.
