    These are pure unobtainium. I've given up trying to get these or similar from Mischief Machine. They're always sold out. I looked a Sharp's Bros, but they have unwanted dual gas pedals and trigger guard 'enhancements' that make current holsters uncompatible. Maybe Shalotech...

    I got a new custom works p365 fcu and the Icarus Precision grip mod for x macro im having some issues with install it won’t seat fully, it seems like it’s a super stiff fit any tips or tricks for install?

    • @Icarus_Precision
      @Icarus_Precision  Před 7 měsíci

      We designed the modules to be a very tight fit. Place some lubricant on the front of the FCU and on the lugs inside the module. Make sure that the front of the FCU is angled down and into the module so that the lugs catch in the frame, then use a table or bench to press on the back of your FCU to push it into the module. Once the front is seated, the rear should simply slide down in the module. Hope this helps, and if you're still stuck reach out to help@icarusprecision.com

      Hello! I attend weekend pistol courses when available. This involves me handling my pistol for several hours per day during those weekend courses. I have not had an issue with the texture hurting or causing any sort of irritation to my hands. This is also my conceal carry pistol, and I can say the same. No skin irritation and nothing rubbing or causing me any issues when concealed. I do, however, prefer a rougher texture on my grips.

      The 17 Round magazines will fit into the Evo frame as shown in these instructional videos. The big difference between the new 17 round magazines, and previous magazines, is how the base plates attach. 10, 12, 15 and 17 round magazines will fit inside of the Evo Grip module. The Macro sized modules will require the 17 round magazine, or a modified 15 round magazine base plate. Hope that helps!

    I know there's supposed to be tight tolerances. But I have never had an issue like I been having for the last 30 minutes to get getting the front of the FCU into a 365 grip module. Came here thinking I have to do something different with the Icarus. Either I'm an idiot, or these front lugs are were not cut appropriately. Really 80 / 20 I'm the idiot.

    • @Icarus_Precision
      @Icarus_Precision  Před rokem +1

      That is a very good point. The Sig OEM X-Macro release is different from all other 365 versions. We elected to make the Icarus macro modules using the original style as more than likely most people would be upgrading from an older model, and there are significantly more original style third party manufacturers. But this is something we'll note as we make our Macro video. Thanks for reminding us!

    Does the grip module affect holster fit?

    • @Icarus_Precision
      @Icarus_Precision  Před 4 měsíci

      Depending on the model, yes, some of our modules will effect holster fitment. As we grow, there are quite a few holster manufacturers that make holsters that will accommodate our modules with thumb rests and picatinny rails. We've also found frequently that if you run a weapon mounted light, like a Streamlight TLR 7A, that many holsters will fit as well. Especially XL/Macro length.

      Watching through this installation series, you'll see all the parts you need, but to help compile everything for you:
      * Sig P365 Fire Control Unit (you can change trigger/springs if you like)
      * Grip Module (your choice of Icarus Precision module)
      * Magazine Release (we like the Align Tactical offset extended)
      * Magazines (Icarus base pads are a nice addition)
      * Recoil Spring (We've had good luck with the DPM spring sets)
      * Barrel, and if wanted, a compensator
      * Slide (we are working on sourcing new slides, but Fdez also makes great slides)
      * Slide Completion Kit (includes all parts to make slide work) (can buy from Sig or SigSauerParts.com)
      * Optic and/or Iron Sights
      * Holster (there are several companies that will work with Icarus Grip Modules)
      Optional
      ** Cerakote Job
      ** Weapon Mounted Flashlight

      Depends on your skill levels, involvement levels, and torelance to hassles and/or how much work you want to put in. If you are a novice, you can still learn to do many things, but the minimal risk is to just buy a stock sig p365 that you wan: P365X, P365XL, P365 X-Macro Comp, or P365 X-Macro. If you intend to get red-dot, try to get a model with red-dot (Romeo Zero, etc) and Tall Iron sights. It will save you a bunch of money paying a gunsmith to replace your iron sights ($200+), so you might as well spend $150 at the FFL to get one at stock and you kinda get a “free” red dot.
      (Technical you can buy equipment for $50 and sights for $100 and save $50, but if you are a novice, you may lose zero on your iron sights if you line it up wrong, just let the factory do it for you… not worth trying to zero your iron sights yourself, may cost you a lot of time and more than $50 worth of bullets to test it).
      At my FFL, this would run you about $750 vs $600 (one without red dot and tall sights).
      Now, if you want, buy your prefer red-dot to replace the RomeoZero. This is fairly easy to do… novice easy. Need a recommendation? Holosun EPS Carry ($399).
      From here on, you can upgrade your grip module.. if you can find stock… like the Icarus Precision one for your new P365.
      If you’re lazy like me, and dont feel like cleaning your pistol too often, avoid ported slides. They let dust and other things into your barrel where you need to clean it more often.
      Now you can do other simple upgrades that does not need a gunsmith for (light, etc.)

    @ajdube9967 Před rokem

    Will most holsters fit your grips?

    • @Icarus_Precision
      @Icarus_Precision  Před rokem +2

      That is a loaded question, and the short answer is that unless the manufacturer specifically states that it will fit one of our grips, we cannot guarantee that they will be compatible with your holster. Additionally, we have different module lines with different shapes. With the introduction of the Sig P365 Macro, many more holsters will fit more readily, but the determining factor is if it will fit with the integrated thumb rests of our Elite, Evo, and Macro lines. The Hybrid line with the XL length dust cover/rail SHOULD fit in most macro holsters as they have no thumb rests, but our X (or shorter rails) and XL+ modules will require a specific holster due to the picatinny rail not found on the OEM modules. We have several manufacturers that we are currently dealing with listed on our site and there are Facebook groups (i.e. Icarus Precision Users) where you can find community support as well as ask questions from actual consumers. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.

    Is this the same for the sig xten?

    • @Icarus_Precision
      @Icarus_Precision  Před 11 měsíci

      The XTen would be more like the Sig P320 series pistols. The Grip module is pretty straight forward on those and doesn't require removing a pin, just the takedown lever. The Mag release is very similar to the 365. The slide is slightly different as far as how the components are installed. i.e. the extractor is installed through the rear of the slide.

    FRUSTRATED!!! I purchased the Icarus for 365 XMacro-comp and P320-XFull from Bass Pro Shops. I have been working on this stupid x-macro grip since 5PM (now 10PM). The notches seem off and I cant fully insert. Tried pushing it in, against a table as he mentioned. All it did was mark up my table. Thinking of returning these for my $800 back and just get an AXG or save for up STI. Havent even tried on the 320 yet. Thought this would be "plug and play." Anyone that says to install an FCU by pushing against a table, whelp, my bad on the purchase, eh?
