Conrail Snow Belt Winter '99

Another video from the brutally cold and snowy winter of 1998-9. The video opens at Conneaut, Ohio, then moves to Geneva, then the next day at North East and Erie. The street running down 19th St. in Erie is shown. NS's line through town was realigned parallel to CSX/Conrail in 2001.

Ah, the good old days when Big Blue ruled the rails and rolling stock was graffiti-free! Excellent video. Locations, snow, street running. Must have been fun, albeit cold.

Love the content! Do you by chance have more footage of Conrail in the snow belt? I remember I used to own a video called “Wintertime Railroading” and a lot of these scenes were in that video. There’s stuff on the water level route and a hotshot intermodal with BN leading. This brings back so many memories!!!!!!
