Conrail Maumee, Port Clinton and Danbury Bridges in 1998

  • Visits to the three moveable bridges on Conrail's (now NS) Chicago Line in Ohio between Cleveland and Toledo. These scenes were taken around Halloween 1998 with permission of the respective operators/bridge tenders. Today, the Port Clinton and Danbury bridges are controlled remotely by the Maumee bridge tender.

    Nice video and thanks for showing the operation of the bridge too. Seems like a lonely outpost but lots of train action.

    I was offered to come up to maumee bridge opr. Jim Reynolds Office but declined of height phobia in 92.
