When I duo floor 100, we have one high damage player and one tank player. The hunters will not spawn until everyone is in the room. So the high damage player runs to the balcony (tank stays in lobby) once set, tank come in and draws all fire and damage. Balcony player is basically ignored (little to no damage) so player is free to just unload on hunters as they see fit. This strat is pretty quick.

The first time I got to floor 100 was before I had read anything about the fight, and was new enough to the game (and not in the community communication loop) where I didn't even really know there were hunters in the game (never played Div 1). I was 100% a solo player until I got to SHD level 1000, so I was even more insulated from community tips and tricks.
You can imagine, then, how much of a shock the floor 100 fight was to me. I run into the room, and some "rogue agents" suddenly appear in clouds of smoke. I have beaten rogue agents in the open world before, so this will be easy, I thought. LOL. Within about 5-10 seconds I am running for my life as explosions and fiery death are raining down on me. My turret and drone, previously my closest friends, have turned into my worst nightmare. "WTF was that?!" I wondered. My introduction to hunters was a short-lived but valuable one. Time to work on my builds and learn how to really play this game, and "get good."
Later I beat them in the foyer with my Scorpio and shock traps, but not until many more hours of playing and leveling up. Ah, yes; good times.

Solid story. Reminds me of my own experience when I faced Hunters for the first time in Div1 (Underground). I legitimately thought my game had been invaded by other players, similar to what can happen in Dark Souls for example. That was one of the best gaming moments for me. I still remember the smoke, the fuzzy HUD, the way the Hunters moved in a semi-crouched position....like jackals circling their prey.
@@synthetadyne That's a really good description. The fight left an indelible mark on me, too, and was a great Summit "final boss" experience. A real challenge to work towards.
Later I joined a group of three ramdoms on the way up the summit, from about floor 60. We were playing heroic with multiple directives. We were doing really well and coordinated for having never played together before and no voice chat either.
When we got to floor 100, I thought we would kick the five hunters' asses, but they smoked us so badly that two of the group left after one attempt. I forgot if the hunters just rushed us in the small room, or if some of the players rushed into the big room prematurely; either way it was a crushing defeat. Myself and the last remaining player tried again and were successful against the hunters, now down to three against two. And I got my Santa mask :)
We also took them out to the balcony and it works really well.

Answered an agents call for help a few days ago and it ended being a group of four randos trying to clear floor 100. So many Hunters. So, so many. And skills! So many hunter skills!! It was mayhem and fun in equal measure. Cleared it after around 5 or 6 wipes I think.
That mayhem can be some of the most fun to be had in the game, IMO!
We go straight to the back left. That puts an entire wall between the players and hunters with only 2 entrances to cover. Shock traps at each door, maybe one tank to pull agro, 3 all-red straight DPS builds. Everyone can run jammer pulse to knock down skills. It's never taken us longer than a couple minutes. I use the standard striker/coyotes/obliterate crit build with St. Elmo's
My go to strat is to use a 5 blue 6 PFE mod build with improvised pieces along with a bulwark shield paired with the Liberty for the shield heal. It's slow but you can actually 1v1 the hunters head on without getting melted by them.
I did it solo with strikers and Protection from Elites. Went to the high ground and picked one off, then the other. Shock traps, and St Elmos helped. It was a lot harder than it used to be though.

my strat is to run straight to the back left where the balcony is and use Scorpio, they usually come 1 at a time.
Scorpio is always reliable!
my clan do that too but to piss them off i die at door with no reviver hive on and let them do the hard work while i roll a smoke and spectate , im like a back seat driver "hes over there, hes coming"
Scorpio HF shield build takes quick care hunters. Solo, duo, trio runs i always pick that combo, and i run AT them. Usually i end up on the top left, top of the escalator and lock them down with scorpio, pref within HF range. And gun m down with a shieldsplinterer or something
Yup did it Legendary lol when that door closed OMG. We did 2 man took them to back left corner of the balcony DPS Striker and foam. BOOM!
When me and Millie ran it, we found success with one of us running DPS and the other being Crowd Control (using Ensnare chem and Banshee pulse). Stick a hunter to the ground to prevent them from getting in cover and rearmor-ing, confuse them to keep them from shooting or to get them out of cover, and DPS takes them down while they're vulnerable. Also, Crowd Control runs Opportunistic to get that little extra damage buff, blindfiring a fully auto shotgun from cover.
Y'all had that strat down to a science!
The thing that makes it hard for players like me is the fact that they jam pulse, instantly killing an entire playstyle.
My biggest beef with this game is that they jam you for a decent amount of higher tier content. I'm NOT an aggressive player. At all. In any game play. I have always been the "White Mage", supporting my crew in every game. I hate that half of the way to play the game is essentially knee-capped at the start of encounters.
I feel you on that. I'm usually the Medic of my group in every game as well, so having to adjust to a more aggressive approach isn't really my strategy either.
The same goes for nemesis there supposed to act like you not literal hunters on steroids
Have someone lay down an artificer hive before they spawn. Keeps you from having your skills knocked out
I don't think fun is the intended goal of this game, it merely happens accidentally every so often.
@@georgepatton6029 My friend, I don't think that's the right way to look at it. I don't have the "best" loadout but I still manage to have fun on Heroic and hold my own soloing most of the content.
Find what works for you but if the game isn't for you then don't try and force yourself to play.
Nice we eventually got them beat using rock-n-rolls/strikers (pick your other gun) with shields.
moving out to the patio seemed to help us some. two of us did that and allowed us to concentrate on a lone hunter while other buddy ran around like a manic inside.... once we had whittled the others down enough we all ganged up on the last one.
I haven't done level 100 since TU20 but seeing your gameplay I have to put it on my to-do list lol by the way I like the idea of the build I'm going to try it without a doubt
It's definitely fun to try the fight with this new aspect to it!

i made this strat on day this update came out (trademark pending) just run outside and its the same strat as before, let them come to you one at a time, sometimes they do 2 at a time because there are 2 doors but if you have enough dps it isnt an issue.
Ita funny to me the time you made this video is a day after I did floor 100 for the first time in over a year. What a shock to find out the doors close! Absolutely baffled when i saw it lol. 4 man oxi build with over charge works pretty good on legendary also. cover the are prior to spawn, over charge then spawn... BOOM dead.
It's definitely a surprising change! But makes for a more intense experience IMO

@maxdes19 yeah before patch (now old method) u could just stay in the lobby and have shock traps to set up the door because it acted like bottle neck and let hunters come to ur trap.
Used two people with oxidizer, another with artificer hive on the opposite side of the room . Drop the artificer where the hunters spawn, and then the two on the starting side fires all their charges at the artificer. Then, everyone comes into the room . Tank pops shield and backs out onto the balcony. Hunters will take a crap ton of damage before moving or firing a single shot .

I've solo on heroic and take them to balcony and then work back around if needed. Had someone with me first on hard and had three spawned and it sucked.
Yup I entered that room and started running back to the lobby and was like oh $h!t. LOL but i was on a lower level as i was just trying to clear floors and beat them pretty easily. Was definitely a surprise though!
Rogue You are the man brother !👊🏼💥🫡 I’ve been getting slaughtered Solo trying to beat this 100 floor for 2 weeks trying different builds I used your blind fire build and on my 1st run I lasted longer then ever but ran out of Ammo before killed 2nd run I just made a lil error before I even started to go upstairs trying to throw out my decoy but forgot it was off line lol 5secs On my 3rd run I beat the Hunters using your advice being patient and using the Gunner Signature utilizing the Riot Foam Grenades to foam those nasty Hunters while I unloaded my the Bullet King into them and my Vector SBR 45 ! Man ,out of all the other builds and Strategies I tried this is far the best to me , Best thing is I played the summit with targeted loot on Backpacks trying to to get the Exotic Ninja Bike Pack and Thanks to you I beat Summit 100 Floor and Finally got the Ninja Bike BackPack been trying to get this for 2 months lol I never got it to drop any where now In can build some awesome PVP hybrid builds with it ! 🖖 Live Long & Prosper

Me and my clan mate found it best to use the back patio! Quickly push up the left side past the hunters through the doors. Then just hold it down with shock traps and dps!

Me and my buddy recently got back into division. We knew nothing about this whole tower climb. Did the whole thing on challenging with our old builds from a few years ago. Pretty easy climb. Then got to the bosses with no idea what was about to happen. First fight we got 2 down then absolutely melted by the last one. After that we couldnt even get one down. Evetuaooy we beat it we both of us using dps builds. We got a st elmos which i dropped to my buddy during the climb and that was actually really really good.

That’s crazy I used my teammates 😂as a distraction and as quick as possible I’ll try my best to take em out before we all wipeout there’s like 6 of them or so I was able to take out four and we completed the 100th floor 💯
if you have a decent heartbreaker's + bullet king + tardigrade build, you can literally beam them in the head and kill one before your armor runs out assuming you have a good position. from there it's easy
edit: no i dont run DPS, i have blue cores
I find that the GR9 with Steady Handed is overall a better gun than Bulletking. Not only does it work similar to BK in long fights, it also generates ammo as it procs. This allows sustained fire AND a utility exotic.

This might sound like a dumb question but how do you get the damage numbers off to the side like that, instead of right on the enemy you're shooting?
Not a dumb question! Go to: Settings > UI > Scrolling Combat Text > Floating 👍

Did it solo. Much easier. I run left then out to the extraction point, but stay at the corner just outside. I used foam to stick them, then dps them. You are up high when they run out to the back, so always have that advantage. Hybrid skill/dps build.
From what I saw in this video, you're much better with a Ceska Chest with Obliterate than the Foxes Prayer's.
You rarely go above 100 stacks, and at that point, Striker's + Obliterate would give you 150% extra damage, and you'd also get higher Crits...

DPS/balcony/shock traps
I did 99 floors on challenging solo and get to floor 100 and get wiped every time it went from a breeze to brick wall to the face.

Good to know. I have a PFE build that helps, but I like the idea of using the BK, staying in cover, and then finally using the rugged gauntlets

Tbh i reset my checkpoint before their floor since i got my chest already. If they dropped like max rolled exotics that would be worth the pain but not atm.

Is there maximum rewards by completing floor 100 now that they changed this?
I got a couple exotic parts, but have bugged out a few times unable to exfill. So I have to travel back to DC. Besides the charm and XP I don't think there really is a "big" prize.

Striker with weapon damage and health damage, kill them faster the critical hit chance and critical damage. I hit over 20mil... the crits are good but not really effective.

All red protection from elites build with adrenaline rush, intimidate and Scorpio wiped them out easy
This would be a good strategy for low levels unless there on mic and with high levels that no whats up, gg i enjoyed the video, a sub an like from me

Certainly worth a go! Striker is a top pick, but the regen might be better invested into crit instead

Same my group got to 100 on heroic but we’re all fairly new/ returning players from year 1 it was insane 🤣 right to hard difficulty for us on the hunters

Solo’d floor 100 on legendary the other day, first time playing the summit in a long time. The room before the hunters took me maybe 10 tries, the hunters I did first try

As per PC they screwed it again and again, when enemy throw a grenade the screen goes full dark for 3 to 4 seconds, and don't let me start on the performance issues.
That's not a bug, they intentionally changed the flashbang effect to a darkened screen as opposed to a white one.
i hate that person who complained about that previous and good WORKING method to deal hunters and got devs to change it
I highly doubt that it was player complaints, and it was more the dev's lacking creativity in making encounters actually interesting. Their idea of a good fight is, jam, take over any offensive skills, and one shot all players, oh and lets sprinkle in 50 or so grenadiers or snipers with exploding drones. And now that the completion rate was too high, they had to change it, you know for "the player experience"... This is also the dev's that created a recording of Aaron Keener saying "it was never about the divsion" when the entire premise of our existence in Div1 was that Aaron Keener fired a missile at an Osprey to kill the Division commander and company.

Have you completed the boss room on Legendary yet? I tried floor 100 legendary in a group of 4 right after TU20 and was not impressed. It is ridiculous how they trap you inside the room but didn't bother to relocate the ammo supply inside the room with you.
You cant use any skill objects because they hack them within seconds so you have to shoot them. If you go DPS so you can actually kill them before they all rush you, you get wrecked by their insane skills. If you go less dps and more tank so you can survive more than 30 seconds you will be out of ammo before you can kill them or be dissolved by their turrets and drones with 30 million health. It is ridiculous how the Hunters turrets and drones now miraculously self heal when you get them down to zero health like they have the unbreakable talent so you have to destroy them twice.
It's also @#$% ridiculous how if you join another party to help someone else complete floor 100 in THEIR game instance YOUR summit ascent gets reset to zero upon THEIR completion. The devs love to punish teamwork when an extra piece of candy would result from it. Can you imagine how unbalanced and broken the game would be if I got rewards for helping someone else complete their floor 100 and still got to complete my floor 100 too? OMG what a horrendous exploit that would be.
Granted, the group I was in were not all Ace players but we tried legendary about 5 times with various builds and it was late so we gave up and put it on heroic easy mode to finish and the next day I discovered my floor 90 something was now floor 1. With 3 or 4 armor regen shield tanks and bullet kings I guess we could have probably done it but we didn't have those builds.

Again, we will be reaching the time spent and the rewarded gained, and it doesn't value my time, I will do only 99th floor max.

Done it several times, it’s really not that hard just have one full hazard tank with 3 dps easy
I don't think that's a good strat nor build since it's too slow while still risky and you're likely never going to fill all 200 stacks. I suggest using something that has been proved effective: Full red, high-end build with scorpio and striker shield to maximize per-shot dmg. Run to the balcony and take them out one by one as they come.
Now that they're addressing Summit's issues i hope they give it a great overhaul because it needs it.
Daft things is, 2 years ago everyone would of been asking what the drops were but now, we all know they were probably trash and deconstructed. Still nice to finish floor 100 but the rewards don't seem worth the time and effort.
Summit is still a tragically bad activity, hoping they can find a way to make it worth doing.
That Hunter fight is kinda toxic too IMO, very poor cover and the Hunters seem to have their stats massively jacked compared to others.
At the very least they should add a checkpoint to floor 100 after clearing the initial waves of normal enemies - having to deal with all of them before the Hunters if you wipe each time is such a hassle.

I solo it always cause I find it easy at the level on heroic with 4 or 5 directives. Just get a decoy since they can’t hack or destroy it. Find a spot at the back closer to the stairs.

Exactly what we needed. Them "reworking" stuff in a game mode that basically almost no one plays meanwhile the broken Determined -Headhunter combo is still breaking the game and the fact that 90% of the players still play with the same weapon and gear set (Overpowered Elmo and Striker set🥴) is telling all I need to know.🫣
