    Fantastic man that looks great at 36 y.o I just picked up my very first Honda Odyssey fl250 and I’ve been scavenging CZcams and google for different ideas 🙂 your build looks amazing if you have any updates that would be awesome thank you for the great content

    • @RkunsawGarage
      @RkunsawGarage  Před 6 měsíci

      There are definitely different routes you can take to build one of these. I went with mostly a factory, but if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't dump so much money in the engine and went with a 780cc predator in a FL350 only because it has full suspension. Unfortunately, I don't have any updates because I sold it before I moved. The guy that bought it said it was crazy fast!

    I know this video is a year old, but I’m wondering how much you ended up selling this machine for? I am looking at a similar one in my area and I’m trying to gauge how much it’s worth after being rebuilt like this? Thank you and awesome video. Subscribed and making my way through some of your others.

    • @RkunsawGarage
      @RkunsawGarage  Před 2 lety +1

      I sold it for $2,500. If I had to do it again, I would have done a FL350 or a FL400. I spent way more money for what it's worth. That's why I never put fenders on it.
      Thanks for the subscription! I really need to start making more videos. I just completed a golfcart build, but I was to lazy to make a video on it. Now I'm customizing my Jeep to be a overlander.
      I do have pictures of the golfcart and some of my Jeep. I'll post more of my Jeep soon.

      I just bought a odyssey fl250 for 200$ and is restoring it and I'm trying to get the engine started and bought new coil and cdi but my dad said that all engine needs to be lubricated with some type of oil where the crank shaft is he told me to find out about it so I ask you.

    • @RkunsawGarage
      @RkunsawGarage  Před 2 lety

      The fuel/oil mixture flows into the crankcase then it is pushed up into the combustion chamber as the piston moves down. It is amazing how little oil it takes to properly lubricate the whole assembly.
      The FL250 should have at least 135 psi (to do a compression test, hold the throttle wide open and have someone crank the engine over until the gauge quits moving). Low compression is anything under about 120.
      I'm not sure what year you have, but this has a lot of helpful information.

      I'd start checking the cheapest thing first.
      Get a spark plug tester and confirm spark.
      If that's all good, check for fuel by spraying some starter fluid into the carb. By doing this it will bypass your possible problems with the carb and fuel line.
      If it's still not starting, go to auto zone and rent a compression tester. You have to have good compression to ignite the fuel.
