  • Working with Coaster Pedicab, Design Concepts has created a new look and sturdier build for the pedicab--you know, those bicycle cabs you see in major tourist areas. The prototype is out on the streets now, getting some hardcore, real-life testing. Watch for it in Boston and Newport, RI. Jump in for a sweet ride! www.design-concepts.com/?utm_...

I would check with Coaster Pedicabs. They own and manufacture this design.

I don't get why they would weld short pieces of tube to form a curve, when they could easily bend the tube, and they couldn't afford a pipe bender, any automotive exhaust repair could bend it for them.
Oops , I take that back, this is the prototype, On their web page the tubes for the framing are bent and looks much better than the one in the vid.
Also there isn't much you can do with a pedicab to improve it's looks without expensive, heavy body work. Even a beautiful and fancy frame design could cost as much as a completed trike.

It has a third-world look. You need to take it to the next level with a complete design overhaul.

Its just easy diy pedicab. It has no electric power. Who s gonna pedal oh hills?

It is the same drive train and brakes as a Main Street pedicab... real innovative. Looks aren't everything. Not impressed.

To keep costs down and increase reliability, they would have to choose components that are mass produced. There are many good off the shelf components out there as well as bad ones. Iv'e never seen one of these up close but the ones I have seen from other manufacturers have issues with corrosion, breaking welds, broken or derailing chains, bent rims, etc. Your right , looks aren't everything if the best looking product keep breaking down.
