    Safezone Kamo Leaders
    If your whole presentation is tangled as it hits the bottom of the lake bed you are not going to get a take on it, no matter how attractive the hook bait. This is why we pay so much attention to what goes behind the lead and how smooth the taper is between the two.
    As always you will not find numerous sizes of any of our anti-tangle systems - one size fits all is our motto. We are all for making it simpler and more cost effective, and in reality a slightly thinner or thicker anti-tangle system will not catch you any more carp.
    However, having exactly the right colour anti-tangle system will, that is why we sell three colours of rig tube. Matching this part of the rig to the lake bed will make more of a difference to the camouflage of your rig than any other aspect; bearing in mind this is the largest part of the whole rig.
    Next time you go angling drop your rig in the edge, how camouflaged is it? Can you see it from several feet above? Imagine a carp several inches above it. From our underwater filming there can be no doubt, if the carp can see the set-up they will be much harder to catch.
    No other company produces such a wide range of colours because no other company has seen how much difference it can make. We shall continue to strive for more and better ways of stopping tangles and fooling those most cautious carp.
    Safezone Spares
    To compliment our fantastic Kamo Leaders, we have many spares to fit all. Each Rubber Bead, Heli Sleeve, Run Rig Rubber and Heli Bead is designed to slide and fit over each leader with ease.
    The carefully constructed rubber is safe and will detach itself from the leader should a fish become snagged or buried in a weedbed.
    The Run Rig Rubber offers a completely different arrangement in the form of a free-running rig -- a presentation that has to be one of the most sensitive forms of bite indication. As a carp sucks in the hook bait and moves away, it will immediately register on the bobbin, due to the way that the line runs freely through the lead. Basically, your swivel lead will be mounted onto the rubber but it can be pulled off with ease forming the running rig.
    The other items in the Safezone range compliment the popular helicopter/chod leaders. Items such as the Heli Bead not only hold your hooklength in place on a helicopter rig, but they also create one of Danny Fairbrass' favourite lead setups -- known as the Shokka.
    Once again the Shokka's emphasis is placed on a free-running presentation. During the Underwater Films, we identified that carp will often use the weight of the lead to eject and spit out the rig. By a savage shake of the head, the carp will literally sling the rig across the lake bed without getting hooked at all. As a result, Danny concocted the Shokka. When a fish picks up the bait, the leader will move through the lead creating virtually no resistance, causing the fish to move off with the bait confidently. Then, as it gathers pace the lead will hit the backstop and BANG -- the hook will drive home. Job done! For more info on how to tie such presentations check out the features section.

    Love Korda stuff but them leaders are expensive, they should bring out a cheap range for people who have 2 kids and struggle to pay the mortgage. We can dream :)

      My rods and reels maybe among the cheapest you can get, but I don’t skimp on lines and hooks, that’s what catches the fish. Not yer bloody basia rods and poxy expensive basia reels crap. 😂

    Korda what size of lead clip is Danny using are I’ve placed 3 orders now and each time I’ve received the smallest clips that look impossible to work with, is this different sizes of lead clips?

    Can anyone recommend a HookLink/ lead setup to use with the ronnie rig? I.e do I have to use this leadcore stuff or can I just attach the ron rig like I would a IQD rig just to a Inline lead setup?

    • @AiDzzzzzz1
      @AiDzzzzzz1 Před 3 lety

      I have had a lot of success using a ronnie with a standard lead clip setup with the safezone leaders

      @Alex-jr4bq Před 3 lety

      I use a helicopter lead setup with a Ronnie rig you don't need to use leadcore I just use a heli setup on the line(also never ever use a Ronnie on a inline lead setup)

    If you need to carry a kettle to straighten a leader, and it still does not look straight, you know what you can do with a product like that.

    It's ironic how they're called SAFE zone and banned on every decent water in the UK, the majority of Korda's tackle (apart from the pully, stripper and crusher tools which are really handy) are slightly edited versions of Fox and ESP's stuff, talking about an 'exclusive' on tungsten fused leaders, you can just buy ready spliced tungsten tubing with a lead clip on the end, every rig he uses he either cuts bits off it or edits it, you need a kettle to make it straight now, I enjoy thinking tackle especially Penning, Peck and Clarke but sometimes it's like watching one big Korda advert, ruins it.
