I love that the cancel button got bigger right after farfa said he couldn’t cancel
I was SCREAMING at the TV to cancel.

You can simulate 'Turn 1 Draw' with a little bit of trickery. If you want to go first, choose to go second at the start. The player who actually goes first just passes their first turn. Then the person who wants to go first takes their first turn, drawing their card, but just makes sure to not conduct their battle phase that turn. After that turn, proceed as normal.
There are a few fringe cases where this falls apart, such as if the 'going first' player opens with a Berserk Gorilla and therefore would have to attack on 'the first turn,' but other than those few situations it works exactly as you need.
In the berserk gorilla situation, couldn't you just summon it in main phase 2?

This makes me want konami to officially just add a queue for time wizard formats into master duel, these old formats are so nostalgic to me
If I know Konami like I know Konami, they wouldn’t put in pre errata effects and they wouldn’t add back priority.
But even still it can be a fun format.
Having retro formats in yugioh MD would add alot of replayability for me. Make it happen konami.

They really should have something for people who don't like the current format so they can stay in the game. Because without it people will just quit when they've had enough of the meta decks. Plus it would mean the many cards that never see play anymore can have some use.

Edison and HAT are the best formats for a mix of old school slow play but combo oriented modern play. I love them.

tbh it was just a big button with "CANCEL" written on it, how would he know it could cancel
tbh it doesnt really pop out, especially since its a blue button right beneath the other blue button to change the phase. I think they should have given it a more intense color to make it pop out more.

Goyo's errata wasnt just something that would change nothing, it was actually proven that it changed nothing, because it had been legal in the TCG for like 2 or 3 YEARS before the OCG decided to errata it, because it being at 3 over here and doing nothing wasnt enough proof that the card could come back, and the OCG was REALLY scared of it
To be fair, Goyo should have required non-generic material all along. We already had a generic level-6 Synchro with Gaia Knight, the Force of the Earth and Goyo had an amazing effect _as well as_ 200 more ATK (and 1200 more DEF).
This completely broke the game design which so far had vanillas given higher stats in exchange for having no effect. It's as if Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon had had, say, 3100 ATK on top of its unerratad effect making it the strongest among all Normal and Effect monsters for quite some time (maybe even until Ultimate Conductor Tyranno came out).
It just didn't make any sense for Goyo Guardian to be the strongest level-6 Synchro.
Can we get more Edison? Really love to see you play this Format.

insane that mbt is playing the deck I took to my highschool lunchroom everyday. I shoved Gorz and Tragoedia into every deck I owned because I got them as promos and thought they were cool, never knew they were actually playable outside of the kitchen table.

Didn't realize how much it sucks to play Gorz in an automatic sim that reveals you have it every time cuz it pauses after the attack.
Some sims have a setting to automatically add a random delay to most/every chain or response window to prevent this exact scenario, but I think people don't know to look for it

I'm surprised in both this video and in Dzeefs that no one thought that to stimulate getting the extra Turn 1 Draw, they just go 2nd and the Turn 2 player just passes. (As in who would have been Turn 2 technically.)
Caius can’t burn unless he banishes a dark btw so banishing himself isn’t BM, it’s to get the 1K burn if your opponent doesn’t have a dark. Mist Wurm is wind

Gallis wasn't legal for SJC Edison, though. Gallis was only legal in Europe because that's where it was released until it was reprinted in the GX Legacy Collection.

Man farfa's copium induced dementia has been getting worse each month, the master duel datamined in january showed a monthly event with "vintage cards", but farfa missremembered as a classic mode a few months back, and now he mentions konami apparently planned to have old formats available from the beginning even though the list of craftable banned cards even say "they can't be used for online matches or events", i dunno man seems like he needs to go play the formats somewhere else like db or omega since konami clearly has little interest in them, they even removed them from ycs niagara after barely trying them just once at euros

I really hate the fact that as a community, we have done more to promote alternative and older formats than Konami has, DESPITE THE FACT, they have a named format for it in time wizard.

Gorz is literally only the boss monster that Yugi played the doesn't have archetype or series related to it, which is sad because I think of some support for it.

Can someone help me understand Farfa's thinking in the 3rd game when he wouldn't direct attack an open board because he kept thinking MBT might have Gorz? Like how do you plan to win the game or get rid of Gorz (That he didn't have) if you don't attack?
That's how overwhelmingly powerful Gorz was back in the day. It gave you two bodies, one of which was 2700, which is very large, so that you had no choice but to play around it. Life points don't matter near as much as board state does, and Gorz was a great way for establishing a state that could turn a game around instantly. If you are not going to kill your opponent immediately, there is no reason to give them Gorz and the token. That was his thinking.
@@johnryanjosey6368 Yep, it's like risk and reward thing, if he can afford to take the risk he would attack, for example if he had an Honest in hand, he wouldn't be scared of Gorz as much.
you need some kind of answer for gorz, like battle traps or removals in mp2 otherwise you almost always lose a card from gorz attack. Moreover it's a free SS for opponent to do things.
