The title "One Man Force" made me think of a medieval or fantasy unit of energy. Like, one man-force. "This new automaton is able to exhibit up to Ten Man-Force of power."

Ronny Cox, Robocop OCP board member ( gets thrown out the window of OCP tower by ED209/ T-1000 at the end) and main villain in Totall Rekall, ( gets sucked out the alien Pyramid on Mars at the end).

As a huge long time Star Trek nerd I must say I am pleasantly surprised by your recollection of Ronny Cox, not as the head of OCP in RoboCop but as the legendary Captain (now Admiral) Edward Jellico in the 2 part TNG episode Chain Of Command 1&2 from the middle of season 6! My favorite quote from the episode is from Picard though: “There… are… FOUR… LIGHTS!!” And everyone with half a brain knows #JellicoWasRight!!! He’s the precursor to Captain Shaw on Star Trek Picard S3 airing right now! Another prick hard ass that is ALSO correct! Ok let me stop before I start translating Klingon and REALLY embarrass myself Mike Stoklasa style! Lol 🖖🏾😜

Ok, one of those cars is a 30's Ford Coupe that's been modified into a hot rod, the "beater car" is like a 70's Nova or something (probably a $500 car in the 80's), and the rich guy car is a Rolls Royce.

So much nostalgia for the cast of this movie (and one of the clips). I know Ronnie Cox as Cohaagen from from the original Total Recall movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jon Matuszak was in Ice Pirates, one of my favorite bad Sci-Fi movies. And I actually live in the area where the "I love refrigerators" guy has his scratch and dent appliance stores. "It's wackie newnew" was the catch phrase for a long time. He plays a character in the commercial, and he's very well spoken in real life which makes the whole thing funnier to me.
Also, John Matuszak gave my favorite speech ever in a film: North Dallas Forty (highly recommend). It’s the one at the end to which Nick Nolte responds, “Far out.”

I loved the Shitcase Cinema review of this movie many years back. When I wrote a "Worm" fanfiction some years later I called it "One Girl Force" because Taylor`s changer form in my story is as impressive as the lead in this film.

As for the "Private Eye License", it depends on the state: here in Virginia, it's controlled by the Department of Criminal Justice Services. The DCJS are who you would go to for training and licensing of PI's, bail bondsman, security guard (armed or unarmed), armored truck driver, etc. If it's private security or law enforcement, they are who you would see in Virginia. I'm not sure about other states though.

PI licenses are very real. Otherwise any average Joe could just say "I'm a PI". You have to shadow one for several years and then pass a test, I believe. There's more lax requirements if you havea good amount of experience in law enforcement as well.
I can't figure out how to comment on Bryan's podcast so forgive me for doing it here. In the latest episode you asked about the name "Lisalottie". In the original version the character's name is Luiselotte, and she is actually named after the author's mother. So yes, it's a real name.
BTW I feel like you sadly didn't comment on the cultural/historical context of the book enough, only of the movie. For a book written in Nazi Germany (and banned by the Nazis until after WW2) the story featured some elements that were a bit ahead of its time (eg a successful working single mother, divorce in a children's book...) which would have deserved a mention IMHO.
Ronny Cox is way more notable for Total Recall and RoboCop. Don't know how you guys didn't mention either of these films.
