I like to think in terms of having read the Bible. If you read it as a child, and that's the only time you've read it, you interpret it from a child's store of limited knowledge of the world.
However, if you read it in your teens, twenties, thirties, etc, your understanding should change. Mine started changing when I attended a college of a different religion that I grew up in, and was required to take a History of the Bible class. Not only did I interpret for my then-experience of being a 20 year old student, I then realized the danger of assuming all Christian religions interpreted the Bible the same way.
I'm amazed that there still are Royal families, and yet they seem to be willing to take abuse/give abuse and don't seem to understand no one else's point of view. Sad, really. 😒😑😕

Oliver is nothing more than a radical leftist who, like most of them, despises the country of his birth and everything it represents. What I find irritating is him insinuating his own opinion is popular opinion. It isn't. The majority of people in the UK support the monarchy - for all its flaws. That might change. But the day anyone takes what Oliver says seriously is the day we give up as a society. The irony, as always, is that it's Britain's legacy that allows the likes of JO to espouse their thoughts freely. Good luck with that in China, Cuba or any socialist paradise of the sort Oliver craves for the West. I'll take celebrity US socialists seriously when they're first to give up their personal wealth for the 'people'.

He's just a moderate left liberal, and they're generally smarter than most right wingers, especially considering the American rights trend of anti intellectualism which stems from its courtship with the evangelical ideological power structure which denies basic scientific facts such as evolution, the age of the earth (most evangelicals believe in "Young Earth Creationism", that earth is 6000 years old 😄) and denial of climate change.

It's up to the FBI to charge him and extradite him to the US to stand trial. When he is found guilty, then his royal titles will be stripped from him, and he won't need security from the Met at that point, will he? Truth. That group chat without Heidi had been going on WAY longer than the one with her.
Also, we don't talk about Oliver's dimples enough :)

Many times thru pandemic the comedians - John Oliver, Jimmy, Trevor & Stephen C. helped me thru and kept me laughing & thinking. Now we are heading back into the sunlight. Thank the universe for comedians! 💜

Thanks John for mentioning the Marble League @7:49, and especially for sponsoring the whole event last year! You caused much joy around the world, especially in these pandemic times. :-)

Prince Andrew is no better....chilling with Epstein 🤨🙄 Royal Family is already tainted from his actions, and the actions of prince Charles chumming around with Camilla
