7 Days to Die A18 PvP - How To Find Hidden Bases

- You can't just build an underground base and skip the land claim to be safe in #7DaystoDie #PvP - you need to be careful about covering your entrance. Make sure you watch in HD.
In this video, I show the trick I used with my team to raid an entire server. I found unclaimed bases, hidden stashes, and even some that were occupied! This tip works for #Alpha18, things may change in Alpha 19.
Sooo many people said I was cheating, hacking, or xraying when they logged in to discover their loot missing. The reality is they just needed to understand how the game works a little more. Shout out to SanguineShadow, HunterAlpha, Taako, crc89crc, j00ls, and the rest who created the bases I found in this video.

nice video, hopefully combatting some of those cheat accusations. Still haven't found any of my 'secret' bases yet and i have no intention of disclosing any of my hiding techniques, good luck for next seed.

Any chance you'll do one for A19 as they fixed the discolored blocks on the large map issue? I don't see how to find hidden un-claimed bases now besides guessing or getting lucky.
If someone puts down a land claim on a pvp server, they have everything coming to them.

Awesome video! How much of this applies to A19? Maybe you could do an updated guide :D since the map thing does not work anymore, finding hidden bases seems way more difficult
All of this applies unless you are playing on a server which provides biome blocks, as some do now

@@McCragge also the terrain change was deliberate to try attract some attention, i cut my pvp teeth in a16 so im careful about leaving any signiture on the map

Can you please make a video or share tips on how you think is a good base to hide when starting out? Until you have enough mats to build a large proper base above ground?
Short answer here is to use stashes. Really all you need is a couple of loot containers, so think about all the ways you could hide a single box
@@rhaikh Like previous patch you just dig to bedrock which was like 60 tiles deep. Save mats or concrete build monster base. Besides putting a ladder to bedrock and, being unclaimed, maybe a few auger holes differ directions and cover the entrances. Not building near Pois.
What surface material do you suggest using to cover an entrance to a base? Any other suggestions for deception or thoughts?
Great tips, what if people know this, build and not place claim block say under a POI and replace wall blocks?

@@rhaikh rip up a floor block or wall blocks of POI basement and replace, now same , no difference to original. Have been known to do it.

This is cool and all, but I think the enjoyment of base raiding comes from taking it by force, through an epic battle, rather than when they're offline.
Finding hidden loot is a battle of wits, just as enjoyable

@@OğuzhanTorlakk It is pretty difficult to see these things on the map. It helps to have a good monitor. I wish the map didn't blend pixels so badly when you zoom in all the way, it would be a lot easier to spot.
What you do is, spend 6 hours randomly punching dirt in a vast Area, now your rdy to build a vertical shaft and ppl will be guessing for your spot.

This was an incredible useful video in A18. Sadly, they nerfed the top soil map abuse in A19 :/
Underground-unclaimed bases are almost impossible to find now.
im pretty sure he would be just as successful in A19, if he played a19 :(
As far as I can tell, all of these tips are applicable in A19. I noticed that some servers have maybe reacted to this video and have unlocked biome terrain blocks in crafting, but this is not standard
HMM AND HOW TO HIDE BASE?
Easy way to beat that trick is to dig under a building. Get as close as you can to a building and dig under it, and once you’re under the building there will be no need to cover it up. The building does it for you. Tips for newbies to the game.
True but beware, POIs can get reset on you. People can start quests there, and some servers reset POIs over time.
@@rhaikh, the reset is more on PC. Also, It can happen on PVP as well, but, I don’t play PVP. I play survival mode where people have to join your world to play with you. Furthermore nobody stays on my world very long because, I have a sniper, and I am pretty accurate with it. 😎😎. In conclusion, I am on day 312.
There are PvP severs with no player base damage when your offline. There good.
So ... don't put down a land claim?
Land claims are for bases that can hold up to brute force

There are ways to make a base more difficult to raid beyond just making it thicc, and what’s sufficient depends on the skill and settings of the server

This is incorrect. There are plenty of ways to hide a base nobody can find. Speaking from experience, many times over.
