@@jayz6008 They definitely had more taste to them than the remake. They were slightly darker. I ate these things up until they discontinued them. Hopefully they adjust the recipe like it was before but if not, I'm still happy to have them as they are.
Nah, I feel like Waffle Crisp has a more Mapley flavor but I guess everyone's taste buds are different. An Eggo vs WC battle needs to be made in the future!
If any of you were true waffle crisp lovers like me you would have noticed right away before you even tried it and that just by looking the new waffle crisp are different than the old waffle crisp. The reason they don’t taste as mapley is because they don’t have the sugary substance on top anymore and because the ingredients are different and on top of that these new ones are more blocky instead of rounded like they used to be and these taste more like dried up churros

He had a box of the original waffle crisp in his cabinet and I said woah I loved that cereal. And my girl surprised me! We both chowed on the cereal while watching your video!
It’s gross. I loved this cereal growing up, but I just bought this at my Walmart and the waffle pieces are unnaturally bigger where it hurts the roof of your mouth, the maple syrup like you said is not really there. It’s like a sweet chalky mess. And omg if you don’t eat it all within 2 mins of pouring the milk it will get sooooooo soggy so fast. Did not enjoy would pass
You know, waffle crisp has really grown on me the last year or so. The pieces are big, and that can hurt your mouth if you aren't ready. And you're right when they're soggy they just aren't good. But overall I think this is still a top tier maple flavored cereal.

I’ve only ever made oat milk but you’re making a good case to try the oatly. This cereal looks good.. though I may be one of the few that dislikes big bags because they just encourage me to eat more 😢
