Hello fellow waffle crisp lover friend. I recently found and purchased Kellogg's eggo waffle cereal. It's back in homestyle and blueberry. Kellogg's released this cereal awhile back but now it tastes so amazing. Closest I've come to tasting waffle crisp in forever. Its worth a try. Trust me. You won't regret it.

I first had it for several years from May 1996 to March 2003. They changed the Formula for no reason at all, and it went from having a Fresh Maple Taste to having a Fake,Artificially Flavored Syrup taste to it. I last saw it here in Texas in May 2011, I remember it being sold only online as of September 2011.
Believe it or not, Waffleos tasted even better than Waffle Crisp. It had this buttery, almost egg-noggish flavor. The closest I've found that came close taste wise was French Toast Crunch. If you mixed French Toast Crunch and Waffle Crisp together, you might get a decent approximation.
One thing he should've mentioned is they shrunk the size of the cereal pieces down sometime in the mid-00's and changed the flavor a little bit. Still a very very very very tasty cereal!!

Tornado1994 I also heard is in the 90s version it had brown sugar maple syrup and cinnamon. Was that true Because I think they still use because I can taste maple syrup or when it was available

Then in April 2003, Post decided to switch its formula to a CHEAP, Artificial Flavored Powdered Syrup Recipe. I wish I knew why. Every payday, we got a Box. Even when I started buying Groceries as a Teen in '99, I'd get a box. One Day in May 2003, I got a Box, Poured a Bowl, and was MORTIFIED. The Flavor and Recipe was different and tasted Hollow and Fake. I then looked on the box and saw the words BHT in the Ingredients.
Yeah, I know right? Sucks. Many years ago (back when it was still on shelves) I found it at “Ingles” grocery stores. At least we have a reboot of Ego waffles cereal; but in my opinion it’s not nearly as good as Waffle Crisp.
The thing about the one with the Granny's is the waffles were bigger and maybe it's childhood taste buds but it had a more maple taste. But I'm glad it's still around and still taste great!
In the first place, post waffle crisp had wheat flour. Some reason they removed it from the recipe, it was nice within favor of a gluten disorder to have wheat flour excluded from production. There's also such brand as malt o meal waffle crunch cereal. It's similar to honeycombs, the only differences are the waffle style cereal has neither honey or yellow 5, and on the other hand honeycombs have wheat starch (not like the big bites group alone).
I remember waffles crisp when I was a girl and they are so good to eat and yes they are hard to find that kinda cereal that been for very long time and I miss the old school cereal and other food as a childhoods

I loved a blueberry waffleos. LOVED. Thanks for including what you could. It vanished winter of 84-85. It was a bummer, so I switched to boo-berry. I think boo-berry was oat-based then? It’s like Cap’n Crunch now & that’s also a bummer.
I think they should have kept the granny, as you said in other videos, there are no female cereal mascots, which I honestly think it's because they're afraid it'd hurt the product's sales because they'd think it wouldn't appeal to boys, that's honestly why I think they sticky to female themes and characters for limited edition cereal only, if they're really so afraid of a character being too girly and not marketable, a quirky grandma character would have been perfect, I honestly think the waffle character looks extremely generic and unappealing

Oddly enough Waffle Crisp is kind of hard to find in my area. Matter of fact the only store that has it is a few towns over. I live in the SF Bay Area so you would think it would be mite plentiful considering how excellent this cereal is.

no it's exactly the same cereal in my opinion i grew up on waffle crisp i was trying to find it and i found the good morenings instead and decided to give it a try and i love it but it pretty much tastes the same i dont have waffle crisp to make a detail comparison so it would be cool to see one

Waffles are my favorite breakfast food...No matter how good the cereal is, it's just as easy to put Eggo's in the toaster. Given the choice, I'll take real waffles over cereal every time. (Blasphemy!)
Hey im from Canada and a huge cereal head i always look out for cereals in USA when i go there that we dont got here and i love Cereal Time i would reccomend doing videos on Cookie Crisp,Smorez,French Toast Crunch,Sprinkled Donut Crunch,AppleJacks,Alphabits and Brownie crunch my favorite is Fruity Pebble and Frankenberrys even though they only come out around here VERY RARELY BTW I love you cereal bowl where did you get it?
Since you mentioned Smorez cereal, I wanna say your referencing the cereal made by Kelloggs? That one is good but the best Smores cereal was made by Big G; Smores Crunch who's predecessor was Golden Grahams. Wish they would relaunch that one. Hasn't been around since I was a teenager in or preteen I believe. So early 90s. I've written General Mills to bring that back. Lmao
Just had a bowl last night. They definitely changed the recipe up. Pieces are smaller and more squarish with flatter sides. Not as good as the original.
