I love that you’re willing to do all of the route at a crag that are in your limit instead of just constantly doing the hardest route over and over. I totally understand your sense of adventure there Alex love the content. Keep up the hard work can’t wait to hear you at the olympics
I loved the Joe Kinder dissing 😂
I'm 60 years old and past my prime, but refuse to ever let go of my climbing identity. I go to the bouldering gym (Pure Bouldering in CO Springs) and could be the grandfather of anyone else there. But almost no one I know, outside the climbing world, maintained any kind of fitness level as they got older. In rock climbing, your climbing ability is basically your social status. And it's very cut and dry. Either you can climb a route, or you can't. It is a great environment to be in because you have to be in at least some kind of shape to do it, and the whole social scene is based on it. I am mostly mountain biking at my age, but I don't plan to get too old for climbing.
never give up man. i met a 75 year old man climbing 5.7 at sunnyside crag in red rock. dude was an inspiration!
Hang in there, kid! I'm coming up on 68, still after it 😊
