I watched both videos , followed your advice and got the Weedstop Orange. My yard was green but mostly a bunch of clover, goosegrass ,crabgrass, dandelion, and purple deadnettle. I reseeded the the baldspots and it's filling in. Thanks for the information for years I really thought that resodding was the only way to a "grass only". We appreciate you man!!!!
No problem I'm glad I could help
I like that your video focuses on the average lawn owner and not having to figure out math equations with multiple chemicals just to spray my lawn 👍.
Thank you, I try to keep it as simple as possible
All they do is push expensive product
Thank you guys the support is much appreciated
Do I spray before or after mowing?
@@plereahmayfield817 you can spray 2 days before mowing or 2 days after mowing
Another great video. Am i the only one that looks out of the window 15 times a day to admire the lawn? Haha nah, us lawn guys are the same, you probably do it too. I grew up poor in chicago and always dreamt of being a homeowner. You are helping to make that dream all the better with a nice lawn! Thank you!
Thank you and yea I actually do look out at the lawn multiple times a day lol especially after a good cut and edging. It was definitely a dream of mine to have a great looking lawn also since a child watching my grandfather take of his. So I was introduced on how to maintain a lawn for a basic d.I.Yer. So doing this also helps me remember my grandfather. Thank you very much for tuning into my videos I greatly appreciate 🙏🏾
Go chi town!
Lawn guys & gals.
Chicago suburbs here 💪 Just bought my home with a huge yard and lawn was not taken care of and its full of dandelions and clovers so time to take action and get rid of these weeds 😁😁
I have to stare at it when leaving for work each morning😅😊
Never met this guy.... but for some reason I would trust him with my dog and my retirement money.

New home owner, has no idea where to start for some stuff but glad I found this video
Congrats. Thank you, and welcome
Congratulations 🎉 🏠
Before watching your video I was so depressed. I put down Weed & Feed 3 weeks ago and the dandelions multiplied! My yard is the ugliest on the block. Your video was extremely helpful. I thank you and my neighbors will too!!!
Don't be depressed or stressed out all it take is a little time and TLC and you'll get it. Thank you for your support I'm glad I could help
Dandelions are good for the bees. Also dandelions are temporarily they will die on their own very quickly
Can't feed the weeds and expect them to die!
Dude, I just want to say a special " Thanks " for helping me to cure my lawn.

Thank you for giving me hope that I can get rid of the weeds! Great tutorial! Thank you for keeping it simple!!!
No problem this is the easiest way to get rid of weeds.
Thanks for the video. It was very well explained , simple, and definitely helped me out with my weed problems. I like the fact you used products that regularly consumers can get a hold of at any local store.

Thank you. I used the spot sprayer on my lawn about 10 days ago and I may use RTS weed killer hooked up to my hose as a secondary application. Well done sir.
Thank you
There are so many lawn care channels out there. I've looked at hundreds. Yours is my favorite!
Thank you for your support 🙏🏾 I really appreciate it
My man ! It seems as if you’re the professional lawn spokesman love it and very useful
🤣🤣 no professional. Just learned by trial and error. And by the way I like that Cowboys picture and name you got. I'm a big Cowboys fan 👌🏾
VERY informative and speaks directly to the average person. And the surfactant tip is 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you I'm glad I could help
Great video! You make it easy to follow and understand how to make a lawn look great!
Thank you I'm glad I could help
Your video was spot on! I now have a yard that looks like it's taken care of. My yard for 5 years was damaged with weeds. Always brown with crabgrass and all others it was embarrassing to look at. I tried the orange top Spectracide and also added Roundup. I tried Roundup by itself for spot killing but it didn't work. The Spectracide did it! I placed mine in a carry decanter over the entire yard. My yard is now the greenest on the block! Thanks for the suggestions and video!!
No problem I'm glad I could help 👌🏾
It works great on my lawn. Thanks for sharing brother. We appreciate you.❤

Man I’ve been trying to find you for some weeks to say THANKS!!! My lawn was looking like something from Jurassic park with weeds. Saw your video and used the SPECTRACIDE and Man what a difference!! Lawn is coming in very very nice with almost 0 weeds!!! Thank you!!!
I'm glad I could help thank you for your support.
A newbie to lawncare here. Great video and presentation. I appreciate how you break things down in a simplistic way with "how to" demonstrations. I'll be watching all season for tips as I look to turn my newly developed yard (new construction home) into a beautiful, luscious lawn! 😮😂

Great presentation sir. You are a natural teacher. Well explained and right to the point. Thanks for the lesson.

Good job of giving the ones of us with weeds, some confidence that we can get the yard back. I got hit hard with poa ana this year in the front and dandelions in the back. It's a slow process but hopefully I can get it back with these spray type killers.
No problem you're definitely right its a slow process but if you use this it will start to help kill off those weeds.
I'm in the market for a product just like that. My saint Augustine here in the Dallas area was like a carpet last year and this year the weed have just taken over. Your explanation and your demonstration we're both very professional. You're certainly not an amateur. Many thanks.
Lol when I first started out I was definitely an amateur but I've learned a thing or two over the years from trial and error. Now I'm no pro but I'll get the job done 🤣. Thank you for your support I'm glad I could help
Use a preemergent herbicide in November to help keep weeds from germinating, I live in Texas as well and use 3 times per year
Thanks for taking the time to show your knowledge

Spectracide Hose end is great. Also their weed stop granular bag is a great pre emergent if you can get it in before the growing season.
Yes both products are great especially for the price
Boy, I was not ready for the lawn infestation in my yard, I had already laid down preemergent in March and I still have tons of weeds. Will try the RTS method because I've been spot spraying all week but they're growing faster than I can kill em. Thanks for the video, I really appreciate the typical homeowner products from big box stores or garden centers, very informative.
Thank you
Thank you .The demonstration is helpful!

Great video! I"m also looking for value/performance. And was originally thinking of spot spraying but I realized it doesn't give coverage so I came across your video. Keep on making vids! Thank you

Excellent job. Excellent video. Very knowledgeable and informative.

Your lawn looks amazing.
Thank you
I have another suggestion , in a hose end sprayer put beer light or non-alcohol in there with some dish soap and spray it on your lawn. The dish soap acts to break down the surface tension and wax. The yeast in the beer eats the grass clipping and de-thatches your lawn. It works for me, by the way great informative video.
I always do the surfactant but didn't know about the beer method. Thanks for the tip
@@LawnAmateur well, there is a lot of cheap Butt-Light on the market .... you should try without breaking the bank 🤣🤣🤣

When is it the best time to use the weed killer of this sort, is it ok now?
@Bobby Fox yes right now is a good time to use it
Thanks again!

I really like BioAdvanced (essentially, Bayer) but you are 100% correct - no nutsedge control. And great advice on "reading your label"! Too many people do not do that! Really enjoying this "How to eliminate" series.
Your yard looks good, very healthy from this view.

Glad I came across this video today. It's 11 months old so I will check out others in case you have some updates. Anyone that has waves for days should be trusted with their lawn advice LMAO
🤣🤣
Could you discuss timing the weed spray vs. Overseeding? Thanks for the helpful, clear presentation!
Yes I can do that in a future video
Spray in late August and over seed in late September to early October.
Excellent demonstration. Well done.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed
Thank you. Much continued success with your channel. Appreciate your tutorial.
Thank you for your support
Very detailed and handsome too🥰 Gonna work on my weeds today
Thank you 👌🏾😊
One tip I would recommend is buying a yard dye .. and add it to your bottle so one doesn’t over spray the same area !
Great tip

Can this method still be done in May? Or is this something that has to be done in the fall?
@@jackiegolden2225 this can be done in May
Great video with great info per usual i had no idea some of these products were specific to certain grass types 🤯 🤷🏾♀️
Yea thats why I always emphasize to read the labels. We all have a habit of just grabbing stuff and trying to figure it out on the fly and then bad things happen and we're wondering why smh 🤦🏾♂️🤣. But thank you for your support I appreciate it

Got what I guess is a dumb question: I’ve bought some spectracide to use on my st. augustinegrass. The label instructions state to avoid using it when it is 90 degrees. Does this mean once it hits 90 or does it mean don’t use it if the temp will eventually hit 90 during the day that I use it. I can’t find this answer anywhere. Yep, I’m a novice in lawn care. And thanks for taking the time to help folks out.
Super informative. Thank you!

I used the ortho a month ago. Made a huge difference. I never have results with granules. Doing a second application soon.
Yea, Ortho is not a bad product. I just like for my products to do it all if I can help it.
I've been using the Spectracide for years. I recently started adding a little bit of 2-4-D to the bottle for extra potency. Image and Round up are expensive!
Nice little trick
Yea man every season is an experiment. 🤷🏾♂️
Excellent video!!! Thank you for the very useful information!

Good info. Good presentation. Preciate you. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you
The mask is smart man. Enhaled the granule dust and spray before..I respect the gloves and mask..good stuff
Always protect our health is the number 1 most important thing 🙏🏾
Yeah too many people don't wear the necessary PPE then you hear about high cancer rates etc. Those chemicals are scary as it is, need those masks and gloves, thanks for setting a good example for us
How many times do you apply this? And when is the best time of year to do it? I'm thinking to do this in the spring to get ahead of it but not sure if I have to worry about them coming back mid summer.
I only applied this one time. You can start to apply this product when temps are consistently 50+ degrees and weeds are actively growing so I would say about late spring depending on where you live. You can treat the yard with this product up to 2 times a season spread out treatments.
Great looking lawn bro!!
Thank you
Sir, thanks for a very informative video, will come in handy for sure.

Good video bro. Used the weed stop last week on my lawn and it worked great. Dandelion season is behind us too fortunately
Thats my go to weed killer. I love it especially for the price. Thank you for your support
Very nice video. Question. After using the product, is there water in the bottle? I used it and the bottle is not empty and not sure if its still the product or water inside the container. When you have time, please let me know. Thank you and keep up the good work ☺
Great question after using this product its only the left over product in the bottle no water enters the bottle. Thats a question alot of people been asking lol. Thank you for watching I hope this helped
SUPER Question🎉 in fact it was the only reason I was scrolling the comments. Lol Thank you both. I am subscribing. The video was coool just enough and easy to feel confident. Be blessed
This is an awesome video. I live in CA and we have had so much rain the weeds are taller than an elephant's thigh. I needed this exact thing to show me what to do. Thank you. Thank you. Lowe's here I come!
One more thing. They are predicting rain next week again. I want to get the product on the weeds before the rains come back. Thanks again. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
No problem I'm glad I could help.
What is a good surfactant to add to weed killer
Any surfactant will do. Dawn dish soap is cool the one without antibacterial will do fine and you can get a bottle of dawn for $1 or a bottle of baby shampoo will work. Or you can buy a dedicated surfactant it'll cost more for a bottle but it'll do the same job. The choice is yours all 3 options will work fine. I hope this helped. Thank you for your support
Should this be used early spring?
You can do this as soon as the weather is consistently 55 degrees and over daytime temperature and you have weeds actively growing in your yard.
Thanks. This was the video I needed to see
No problem I'm glad I could help
Very helpful and informative. Thanks man 💪🏽

I have a yard full of clovers instead of bladed grass, how do I correct that?
The average stuff at the box store works make sure you use the surfactant.
I cut my grass then I spray. I recently heard to not cut so that the spray gets on the leaf of the weed so that it goes to the root. I personally use the brand tenacity I got from Amazon, surfactant and a dye so I don't over spray... I'm still a beginner.. My lawn was looking pretty descent then I didn't go anything last year now having to tackle weeds... And I do have some clovers..
@@TanyaScorpioafter using Tenacity, can I plant lawn seeds right away?
