I got the S9 FE and love it but giving it to my daughter so I can get the big dog in the S9 Ultra. I just need more power and smoothness but the S9 FE is a great mid range tablet though it would have been perfect with at least the Snapdragon Gen 1 chip!

I got the s9fe+ and im happy with my choice. Im a dental school student and i use my tablet for note taking and media consumption only. I use an apple device as my phone so i did think about buying a ipad9 or 10th but i didnt want to include my working device to my echosystem because of my distraction problems(adhd) everything is great for now i did recommend it to my friends and relatives so yeah great tablet for its price (at least in turkey)

I have the iPad 10 and am quite happy with it, so my guess is I would be equally pleased (of maybe more so) with the S9 FE if I lived in the Samsung ecosystem.

@@nuggetthebeagle The iPad 9 and 10 are Apple's lowest tier tablets. Neither has an M series chip although the A14 in my 10 does a very good job. The iPad Air is a step up, and the iPad Pros are top-tier.
I am decades past being so tired of the companies producing every little inbetween nit picking models and versions.

For a tablet 11" is the sweetspot for me. Upgraded from A7 to A9+.
The S9 FE is also pretty reasonably priced.
A9 plus 8G is underrated. I own that and the s9plus

And S8+ can be had for like $450 used. About $400 for an S8. And both come with an S pen.

No price drop for the S9, go for S9 FE or S6 lite (if you want a tab strictly for notes, net browsing, netflix/amazon, comfortable screen and cheap af with non demanding performance) personal experience that tab is worth every penny and its cheap and comes with a pen, do not go for refurbished devices
@@diyana8556 The performance of S9 FE is okay with me, but I need the Dual screen and Bluetooth enabled S-Pen features, as well as at least a 12 inch display, but I can't find these features in a single one which would be budget friendly. On second thought, I am thinking about buying older versions like S7 and S8 which has these features, but they don't have developer and security updates until the end of my university. Do you think is it okay to buy the lower versions even if they run out of updates?

Also, I am hoping that Samsung would launch S10 in the meanwhile which would decrease the prices of the lower versions hopefully. What would you say the expected lifespan of such tablet should be? I'm a university student. Currently in a struggle with Samsung since my tab s7 (€800) became unusable after getting stuck after trying to do the feb software update. They say motherboards defect but since this happened 7 days after 2y warranty expired i have to pay full price (€400)... Absolutly shamefull that a device this price range only had a lifespan of barely 2 years and they don't wanna compensate anything, their horrible costumer service aside... SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND SAMSUNG!

It’s going to come down to whether you prioritize portability or canvas size. I always carry a tablet in my backpack so size and weight doesn’t really matter to me - but that’s a personal decision. I hope that helps.

Samsung doing things wrong lately. Dex is lets say strange and that you can't use an external monitor (which i can use on my tab 7 fe) is a nogo for people who use it also as a productivity tool.

The S9 FE + on Amazon is 589 meanwhile the S8 is 638 and the lowest on Ebay i seen is 574,99 new condition. German market but whatever. So why would anyone ever get the FE Versions unless they drastically reduce the Price to like 400 (which they won't do anytime soon) I don't see a future for those Devices when the literal best Devices are barely any more expensive.

That's a bad comparison. The S8 has a 11 inch Display, the FE+ 12,4 inch. Both are LCD. You get more updates on the FE and a waterproof tablet. The S8 is slightly faster, has USB 3.1 and 120 Hz compared to the FE. If you need the extra screen, then it's a good value compared to even the S8.
And btw, right now Samsung gives the Buds 2 Pro for free if bought on their german store. Add the 5% Members Code, the 5% Shop App and sell the Buds and you're around 470€ for it.

If you value a better display, better speakers, better camera system, more powerful processor and Bluetooth enabled s pen - yes. If you’d rather have a larger display - go with FE+. Hope that helps.

For me, it's like this: these things don't perform well. And it is nonsensical, as many do, to justify this with the price. A product has to work smoothly. Period. I very often don't see that with Samsung products. And that is a great pity.
