These are definitely nice machines but for the price, it is possible to get FAR more cost-effective laptop computers (hint: Fujistu).

This is the thing: I want to use the tablet feature by taking notes with a stylus pen.
I have a dell monitor and docking station. Is there a way that I can display a lecture etc on the monitor while using a note taking app on tablet mode at the same time?
Do I need to buy a pc? Should I buy the Lenovo mini docking station?
I had the dell monitor (and laptop) for work purposes and don’t want to use my jobs laptop. No room on my work station for another monitor.
Also when you flip the laptop screen full 360, it completely covers the air intake vent of the cooling fan, resulting in choking the air supply and heating the laptop internals...
Would you recommend this to a student in college? I need a new laptop as my old one finally kicked the dust. I plan on using it for film work in adobe, regular document assignments, taking notes (using a stylus to write them digitally), and do CAD.
I got mine with 2.5k screen, a i7-1360P with 1TB SSD for $1,000 CAD (around $750 USD) and I am loving it! I am using it to take notes, work on Google Earth, QGIS, working on assignments and it has been a treat! It definitely does not last nearly as long as my previous base M1 13" MacBook Pro but it definitely can handle a full day of school work. The pen and keyboard are a lot better, overall it was an improvement and I am very happy I got a good deal purchasing it.

@@TechGearTalk I'll be honest, it will mostly be used for comsuming media, and remote work purposes. Nothing too intense, but the sheer size of this with that processor makes me want to dabble in some light gaming as well
Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid off thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives who relocated and rented or purchased new homes just to join the US sales organization during the digital boom of the pandemic and increase in business for them, forcing them to lose their homes and become homeless. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.

I got the 14" AMD 3k oled touchscreen version of it and its glorious. Top tier trackpad, top tier keyboard, good battery life, one USB4 with full support for external monitors + ethernet + 100w charge + some USB on one cable. And the fan barely spin even when it's on full load. The CPU never get over 85c.
Hi would you mind answering if I can buy this for general admin work and fast browsing possible? Do you have any other recommendations. Looking for good quality laptop for my admin and some graphic design (graphic is minimal usage)
After using something like this - a 2 in 1 that can take notes - would you recommend this for a student or a MacBook Air and iPad? I want to be able to hand write notes in ONe Note and you can’t do that with a MacBook.. you’d need a tablet..so that requires an ipad AND a MacBook if you want to go apple.. this device does it all. What do you think is better for students who wnat to type and take handwritten notes in a note taking app? Thanks.

Hey do you guys think the screen doesn't get bright enough though? Is that an issue for you guys? I'm stuck between the 7i and 9i - they have nearly the same specs, but at Best Buy I noticed the screen brightness on the 7i doesn't go up that high.

I actually just bought the 9i. It's pretty fast, has a nice OLED and bright screen and the speakers are kinda crazy. Only reason I bought this over the 7i was because it was marked down a lot at Best Buy. @@joukenienhuis6888

I went with the full HD, i7 1260P model and I completely agree with this review,
however I find the touch keyboard can sometimes be a bit doggy when in the smaller settings (but that's probably just me)

Apart from my chubby fingers the only other problem has been having to keep reinstalling the pen settings. Everything else has been perfect. I am a uni student and have been using it pretty much constantly since bought

@ramblr5900 mine did not come with a stylus, I had to buy separately. I spent around £750 on Amazon for model 16inch display, i7 1260p -12 core, 16gb ddr5
This is a great review, but I have a question about upgrading the operating system. The laptop comes with Windows Home, but I'd prefer Windows 11 Pro. Can I perform a clean install of Windows 11 Pro to upgrade?

I have a microsoft Surface (6th gen iirc) but the $100+ keyboard's build quality is very poor and the second one i got seems to be at the end of its life so rather just get a new device tbh than keep paying microsoft for cheap products😅

The laptop is good, the problem is durability. Thanks that in my country they cover it with 3 yrs warranty. I have seen many people (including me and my prev gen Yoga 7) have screen problem, like blank screen, greenline, etc that happen spontaneously
thats mostly a problem with the OLED displays from the 14 inch model as far as i know. Did you have the Moire effect on yours or was it something else ?

go with the p series. I don't think the u series version has the qhd+ screen only the crappy base 1200p one

I do not believe the RAM in the model that I have can be upgraded. I would check with Lenovo about the exact one you want first.

** Did you know ????? There is a serious design defect in this LENOVO yoga series of laptop.... the micro SD Card slot. You can insert a micro SD Card in the slot but you cannot eject it if you want to remove, replace the card or use multiple card. There is no eject mechanism in the SD card slot, so once inserted it is stuck and you can't do a thing to take SD card out.
Use your thumb nail. Mine works fine.

A lot would depend on the price difference. I feel like the Lenovo has better build quality.
Common criticism with the Sam360 is the overall build quality, but does have better port availability. But that can be overcome by just getting a hub
I have the book 3. It gets hot 😢 even by just doing basic research online.

@@user-jg5no1wp3f I ended up getting a yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14”), oled version. Can definitely recommend if you don’t care too much about battery life. I use it for work and my masters and can always plug in if needed. I get anywhere between 3-9 hours on it depending on my use and screen brightness.

@SGRADECURSE I think Mac(I recently saw on Amazon there was around $700. Also, walmart had it at $500, too, is great. However, you dont need any fancy laptop or anything for college. You need proper functional to write and save your notes. Let me tell you Lenovo its like a phone. You have to literally go online. Keep updated for different stuff, and after an update, you have to know how to properly work back to normal functioning, which is another problem. I am not a pro at computers or laptops so its confusing to me.

All that I am saying is that like a phone, if you keep updating the laptop, will glich in the middle of what ever you are doing and will stop working, including Wifi icon as well and image that happens in the middle of your school where you need to function properly.

But I've seen that Intel Iris Xe can run GTA V. And one of my hamer friend told me that as your Laptop is running Just Cause 3 on 1920x1200 high settings. GTA V is nothing for it. Is it true that Just Cause 3 is way more powerful over GTA V?
