- Video 1703 is a bit...different. I usually just delete my failed picking attempts but several lock picking ASMR fans have been asking for a "talk free" video, so here it is. For every video that I publish, there are probably 10-20 like this, where I fail to open one of the high security locks living in my naughty bucket.

Good video. From a learning perspective, this may have some benefits of learning what to listen for when dealing with more complex locks like this, as well as seeing that even some incredibly skilled pickers fail sometimes makes this a lot less intimidating to try. Thanks for the video

Every Bosnianbill video is very much ASMR to me! Bill has a warm soothing voice and I often watch his videos both for the content and for their relaxing benefits!

I'm not really one for ASMR but the sounds of lockpicking have put me to sleep many times, some of which on my bedroom floor while putting stuff together LOL. Love this video, come back to it often.

What if it was just a silent picking? Lol I also find it very helpful being able to hear the pops and clicks, since we take advantage of those sounds in our picking. 😁

i do love hearing you talk but this was a nice change also makes it easier to hear the sounds of the lock and that exhale at the end really said it all! but i do prefer you to talk if their is next time maybe you could add to it by whispering ! lots of asmr videos whisper softly! again would not like a lot of these videos but once in a while would be ok!!

I really prefer hearing you talk thru your process, as a newer picker I get nothing out of these with out hearing your thought process.
It's never a fail. It's a time constraint you have. Else you'd be making day long videos on lock pickings. Stay safe and glad I found this neck of the woods.

We've now come full circle. /r/asmr is what led me to this channel and to locksport in the first place.
On a previous video, Bill showed how to "fast zip" these locks. Every time I've fast zipped a lock it works wonderfully well. So why didn't he do it here? (UK)

As a beginner may I ask why do people always set the locks in the vice upside down to pick? Why not the way it’s intended as if it was in a door?

There's a small hook. There's a medium hook. And at the begging you can have a glance at the HUMUNGUS hook
I was watching the video coming to an end and seeing you rake the crappers out of that lock and was laughing out loud because I was SO expecting it to open ANY moment! With seconds to go I was convinced that crazy raking was about to work. But no... :-(

Honestly, this was pretty good! I have a couple notes, I would say another one would be easy to make and have much more fidelity if you are able to get a piezoelectric contact microphone and get it to touch the lock or the vice as best you can. Those things can be crazy sensitive if they come with a decent preamp or if you have a good microphone input for your camera. Basically it'll pick up every single little thing that lock does, but it won't pick up your voice at all. So having your normal microphone still on and kind of turned up is still a good idea. The supplemental noises will definitely fill out the sound a bit! This was great though, please do another! Haha
The piezoelectric buts are no more than $25 but are generally closer to like, $3 if you get something stripped down. Depends on how much work you wanna do. Anyways! Great job!

How many picks died during the making of this video? Some were bending a lot. You are very patient. My lock pick efforts have lasted for about a minute of trying till I get frustrated with it then just using any pick I can find that fits the lock and jiggling the crap out of it for another minute till I get fed up with being unable to open it then I go away and find something else to do round the house thats not so frustrating.
A good way to keep from getting locked out is to install a set of keys on a cyborg replacement body.

Lol it was only a matter of time. My fiancée likes certain same noises to help her sleep and it seems to work. I'll try this one out and see if it works (I normally listen to audiobooks or podcasts). Thanks Bill!

Thanks Bill. Have you tried picking that lock with it oriented the right way up, instead of it being inverted like that? Maybe gravity can help you a little.
