The consistency of Wes Craven directing and Kevin Williamson writing make this the most consistent slasher series there is.
Fun fact: in the original script, the main killers were beside Mrs Loomis, derek and hallie. But due to early leaks, they had to scrap the ending and some parts of the original and made Mickey instead the villain
SMG aka (Buffy) was meant to have a bigger role and was supposed to play randys girlfriend. But due to overlaps work on buffy, she couldn’t find time
Oh and also: cotton was meant to show up at the end, killing Mrs Loomis and then wanted to took revenge on Sidney. So it comes to the ultimate fight and both would have died
I love Gale's growth throughout this franchise, I see y'all have 1-3 uploaded can't wait til 4 & 5. They are also making a 6th that's the one Neve stepped down from Salary Dispute, I do appreciate Matthew, Jaime & I believe David stranding up for her. There would've never been a Scream or franchise without her, not sure how they're gonna handle it in the movie.

Actually Sarah Michelle Gellar was the Drew Barrymore of Scream 2. Your mom was right! The first half was a copycat killer till Randy's death. That's because Mrs. Loomis killed Randy. After that, it was a free for all killing.

No you guys the last 5th one is the one that just came out early this year in January 2022 ,not a couple years ago this was just this year and they're making a sixth one without Cindy Prescott I'm not really looking forward for that one and I don't think most of the fans are so I'm kind of bummed out with that and I'm sorry to burst your guys above on that cuz you guys didn't have to know all that but you guys going to find out one way or another anyways and you guys have become one of my favorite top eight CZcamsrs in the world of all things that we see in CZcams so let me just have it so I decided to tell you guys only because you guys definitely make me want to be better to my mom as well🥰❤💜
It's Sidney not Cindy lol. I know but sadly it's because Neve Campbell felt that she wasn't being offered the money that she has worked her butt off. So only courteney cox will be in this one
I’m biased with scream 2 because of Sarah Michelle gellar . Her role was small but she had a memorable chase scene and I know what you did last summer was released around same time I think and her chase scene in that movie is hands down best chase scene to date in a slasher in my opinion 😅
Mickey is my favorite ghostface. Without him there wouldn't be a franchise. Mrs. Loomis just wanted revenge, Mickey is why this killing spree followed sequel format.

Those detectives were pretty useless I read this on the web for Ghostface “Though each iteration of Ghostface is human, they often exhibit extreme durability against physical harm, high levels of physical strength, and an almost supernatural stealth ability, able to appear and disappear in seemingly impossible situations.” I guess it’s true I realized he does that in every Scream movie.

fun fact about something that isn't mentioned in the movie:
if you notice the killer is left handed cause in all of the kills he holds the knife in the left hand and indeed there's a deleted scene they say that Mickey is left handed which we see in the climax where he shoots Derek with his left handed (in the class scene though he throws a paper at Randy with his right hand but it's probably a mistake they made, plus this scene was reshot later)
now Mrs Loomis is right handed (we see her write in 2 scenes), and the Randy's killer which is her appears to be right handed but it's a mirror shot so she also stabs Randy with her left hand.. also, in the climax she holds the gun with her right hand at first but after she shoots Mickey and throws one away to frame Sid for his murder, she holds the other gun in her left hand and it remains this way until she chases her with the knife in her right hand (probably because she is in the hit of the moment at this point and isn't thinking striate) and that's because she wanted to frame Mickey and leave to trace for a second possible killer
Fun fact, randy is technically right about the aliens quote, but when filming the scene the actor said the wrong line and they just went with it.
THAT is trivia. I love that it’s Selma Blair that SMG is talking to on the phone. This cast IS the 90’s.

That's Laurie Metcalf's daughter, actually! She plays the younger version of Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon.
And Laurie Metcalf actually does plays Sheldon’s mom in “The Big Bang Theory”

@@Smoovey I just read how she was going to return but her pay was not equal. Even though she wasn't meant to be paid more as her role would most likely be small like in 5. She had agreed then the pay made her bow out. The last I heard Neve had not signed but then did not I'm only seeing the bow out articles. So to even find a source for my original statement is impossible. Courtney Cox has signed on. Scream 6 has not finished production as it was being written and casted. Scream 6 will take place in NYC. As Now following Sam and Tara. Possible Scream 5 cast to return. Scream had offended Neve more money after the bow out and I believe she declined after the amount was raised. Do to the error in the information per articles I retract my statement of Neve Campbell reprising her role of Sydney Prescott.
@@Sebastian__. Scream 6 is finished filming man. Casting was done and was made public information earlier this year. The NYC setting was also public information since earlier this year. I’m glad you retracted your statement, and again, since it hasn’t been confirmed, we don’t know whether they will surprise with Sydney actually being in it, or if she’s not in it at all.

I honestly like gale more than Sidney but that’s my opinion
None of them will ever be better than the original lol however, each one brings new excitement. 1-4 are great. 5 took a turn for me.. I can only imagine what the 6th one will do but I’m going to give it a chance.

The fifth Scream film is already out, but it is not the fifth film in the Scream franchise.
The Scream franchise finishes at Scream 4.
What people are classing as Scream 5 is a remake of the first Scream film with all the Original cast, including Neve Campbell.
I’m sorry your knowledge is a bit off don’t confuse them, the 5th if not a remake it’s a reboot/requal, it’s part of the same timeline it’s just not sidney centred anymore but it’s the 5th movie in the timeline as will 6 be

I've got what you call the fifth Scream on Blu-ray I just haven't got round to watching it yet, but what is confusing me then is why is it just called Scream and not Scream 5.

How did randy know when Gale started smoking? It's because the 1st script with 4 killers was leaked...and Randy was Gales Cameraman and Joel was supposed to b in Sidneys group of friends, but described as a 3rd wheel character
It's bothered me for awhile, that Randy got the Ripley Aliens quote wrong. Everyone knows it's Get Away From Her U #beep ?
Well! Joshua Jackson said his line wrong! He was suppose to say the line Jamie said which was the wrong quote, & Randy was suppose to say the right quote! but he ended up saying the right quote! Which made Jamie say the wrong quote to make kind of a poke fun at him!
