Over the course of two decades, Jack brought passion and authenticity to the NESN broadcast each night as you narrated so many unforgettable moments and memories for B’s fans across New England.
Whether you hate him or love him, he is a legend. Thank you Jack for all of these years of listening to you while growing up with the black and gold. Happy Retirement!
As a Rangers fan, we loved to hate you. But underneath the "hate", there was respect. Your love of the 'black & gold' was always evident and genuine. Best of luck to you and yours and all the future has to offer.
I know I'll miss listening to him call games. The Bruins have been lucky to have some of the greatest NHL play by play guys. Fred Cusick and Jack Edwards, two of the greats. Nobody calls games with the emotion and enthusiasm as Jack. He called the game with the excitement it deserves.
I've never been a Bruins fan, but I can't not love this guy. You ever listen to someone talk about something they love, and just get captivated by their passion? That's every night of hockey with Jack Edwards. Infectious passion. Here's to a fantastic career and a well-earned retirement.
Jack you will be missed. The enthusiasm you poured into each and every game can't be and probably won't ever be replaced. In order to be a great broadcaster you have to be a great fan. No one is a greater fan of the Bruins than you showed over 19 yrs. Happy retirement brother Bruin!
Jack is one of a dying breed. I always appreciated the passion and energy he brought to every game. I always got the sense that he was genuinely excited to call each and every game. He loved the Bruins and hockey in general, and it showed in each call. One of the greats.
I could only get my mom to watch full B’s games when Jack called them. He made them truly entertaining, the most passionate sports broadcaster there is. We’ll miss him very much❤
Jack , you are the voice of this Bruins generation . Every goal , every fight, every moment that could be miniscule to other teams , you made momentus and we thank you for everything 🙏
A fan since 1968 Bob Wilson on radio listening while the sound faded in and out. Fred Cuscik, John Pierson and Derek taking us on next 30 yr journey. Then Jack and Brick always on point and fun, and "homers" thats what makes it all the more meaningful!!! Good Luck Mr Edwards.
Jack, thank you for all your hard work and the years of excitement you brought to every Bruins games. Your energy and enthusiasm will be deeply missed. Legends like you are never forgotten. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
I'm one of the few outside fans that enjoyed Jacks homerisms, I thought it was fun and irritating at the same time and added an extra level of sauce to the Leafs - Bruins rivalry. I hope he enjoys his retirement in good health.
I enjoyed listening to Jack Edwards growing up! He was a Legendary Commentator that has left a Legacy! Congratulations Jack Edwards on Your Retirement! Let’s Go Boston Bruins!
I have been dreading this news. It’s taken me a whole season to cope with Patty and now this. You and Brick are what make watching the games extra fun. Blessings to a wonderful next chapter of your life. You are going to missed sooooo much!!!! 🖤💛🖤💛
I am 36 years old. You've been calling the games for my entire adult life. Watching the Bruins on NESN won't be the same without you. Thank you, Jack Edward. ♡
Edwards has been the voice of the bruins basically my whole life. When i watch other teams or national broadcats, it just dosent feel the same. Will definitely miss this guy everygame.
Dear Jack, thank you for all your passion and commitment over these years, both with the Bruins and your time with ESPN and your prior broadcasting career. I admit that I have been sharply critical of your style at times over the years, but can never question your dedication to the game and calling them with accuracy and class. I wish you and your family well and hope that this decision is the best for everyone.
I have never seen this man but I remember the iconic voice when my boys penguins vs bruins you will be missed sir much love from a small farming town in ontario
Thanks Jack for all the memories...can't imagine a better voice to celebrate all the amazing Bruins moments over the last 20 years. True legend in the Boston sports media.
This man is a staple in the Bruins Club! Jack is funny, witty, and brought it with excitement for his team, and of course for us fans! I have rewatched some of his Jackism moments after crazy goals, wins, fights, hat tricks and silly witty “things that make you go hmm” statements. His genuine and special moments talkin with players individually when milestones were reached and of course, breaking records, setting new records, and the team always rooting for em! Brink is amazing both of them together were! Brink brought the color and genuinely loves Jack. Congrats on a beautiful career! May your health continue to be monitored and god bless you and your family
I’m a rangers fan but I love the bruins and jack is one of my favorite parts about watching their games. Wishing him the best retirement, we’ll miss you buddy

I feel bad for jack and for all the people who think he was bad at his job because he got sick and should have retired years ago Either way, much respect, always a truth teller, always a class act
Thank you for everything Jack. The funny moments, the hilarious things you say always bring a smile to my face. I can't believe you're retiring, but we all do at some point. Had the opportunity to he his chauffeur once as he was on his way to Montréal for game 7 way back in the day. SUPER nice guy! Congratulations on your Retirement Jack. Well deserved!
Unfortunately this feels like a health-induced retirement. For the sake of him and his family, I hope it's not too serious. Thanks for the memories, Jack
he did an intervew for some article and said he did loads of tests and he's physically fine and even mentally fine but for some reason his speech was just fucked up really sad to see
I’m a Leaf fan, but I’ve had the pleasure and fortune of listening to Jack Edwards over the years. He’s a phenomenal commentator and I always believed he was never too biased. He always showed enthusiasm even when the opponents scored! His passion towards the game and his job has always been so addicting!! Best of luck in your retirement Jack! You’ll be missed!!
Thank you for so many incredible memories to the soundtrack of your voice. I wish you the best with your family and your health. A legend in New England ♥️🐻
Even though his time was up, I'm still so sad to see him go. He was the voice I grew up watching, every goal, every tumbling muffin. I always got chills every time I heard him say "the bruins knock out Montreal" or "Bergerons shot SCORES! HEARTS OF LIONS" I never forget the passion you brought to the game, & I just hope the next guy they bring in has just as much passion for our bruins as you did. Happy retirement Jack.
Whether you hate him or love him, he is a legend. Thank you Jack for all of these years of listening to you while growing up with the black and gold. Happy Retirement!
I’m in my twenties also grew up listening to him 💔
Hate him, but I do respect him. He was a legend.
Kinda lame to hate someone who brings the passion each and every night
The man loves hockey. The people that complain that he's a homer only see highlights. THANK YOU JACK!
@@evahanson7681 buddy, marchands tripping call "that was clearly a clean hip check" lol proceeds to show him sticking his leg out
No matter how you feel about the guy, there’s never been a commentator who’s loved his job more.
RJ in Buff probably would have words to say about that. Nevertheless, hope Jack has a good retirement.
RJ definitely.

Not a fan of either teams but fully agreed with you.
The voice behind some of my happiest memories. You can call him a homer, that’s why we love him. Nobody turns a phrase quite like Jack 🫡
I've heard brain dead people come up with more complete sentences lol
