When answersing the question "why the dramatic increase in referrals?" (7m 30s approx.), he is somewhat honest and ends up by confessing that he doesn't know why. The question then should be, should they not answer that question before putting these increased numbers on to a medical pathway?

    • @adlernewman
      @adlernewman Před 7 měsíci

Of course that should be the question, but he probably suspects (unless he's fully brainwashed himself), the answer lies in the relentless trans activism infecting schools and preying on vulnerable teenagers with various mental health issues and autism spectrum. Ergo, he would have to admit it's an iatrogenic phenomenon he's a part of- not so good for his business model.

In his description of the types of dysphoria (2m 40s), he claims that one type is associated with "... a clinically significant level of distress, in relation to that (disphoria)...". There are many unanswered questions with regard 'condition' & 'symptom' here. More research is required to ascertain if the distress felt is actually due to the perception of gender misalignment, or other conditions, that people with this diagnoses often have. The continued clinically significant levels of distress observed in the majority of transitioners, may suggest that either 1. The disphoria was not the root/soul cause of the distress, or 2. Transitioning is not an effective treatment for this distress.
His claims are opinion and unfortunately (and unprofessionally) those involved in this type of "treatment" haven't even conducted research or kept good records relating to the progression of their patients.

Too lengthy but please look him up. He is a monster pervert who should have spent time in prison rather than be a foundational figure for the West and gender. Look him up and Reimer twins. People who support monsters are complicit as well. Just because an expert sounds sincere blah blah, don’t fall for things that don’t smell right or defy logic. It’s growing daily. 50k on detrans subreddit. Are those flawed studies of self-selected participants who go back to the Dr who helped them transition? Who goes back to someone who transitioned them I wouldn’t go back. Would you? They are already ashamed. They are shamed into silence. They’ve had traumatic experiences. They are excommunicated and ostracized by the community. Detrans are growing by the shear fact the number of trans in GenZ blossomed. But the tides will shift so we’ll see if the “rarity” holds up. I would suggest it’s underreported and/or manipulated due to the agenda. There was the military study that indicated detrans is common. And a lot of regret takes a while to realize someone was sold something that was unachievable along with pressure from lgbtqia+‘community to be silent. Once people realize there are many detrans, then it will really undermine the born-that-way argument and the affirmative model. So much money is at stake. All these associations that put their reputations on the line to promote this will resist as well. To pretend there is not a social contagion component seems a bit naive.

It is amazing how GD is increasing
It is amazing to use an affirmative model when subjective reports can be mistaken or just plain ol’ dishonesty. What other disorders do people say all the labs are normal, your body is healthy but since you are in extreme discomfort over your naturally healthy body, we are going to change the body to match what you perceive you’re suppose to be?
When there are mandates to heath care providers and lack of transparency, abundance of censorship and treatments that are unprecedented and the biggest, high- quality research that is not being shared, it makes some people wonder.
Why do we have to accept someone’s delusion or perhaps even dishonesty? How do we know when we are using affirmative model?

the brain is hella sensitive to the hormones it’s exposed to. a brain that is heavy on testosterone receptors is going to be stressed if no testosterone is being produced by the body.
there’s a reason why trans people feel an immediate positive change in their mood and their mental health once they start taking hormones. ask any trans person about it, it’s a hella common experience.

Or maybe autistic kids are less likely to be bulied into hiding their trans feelings?
As is obvious from the video, very little actual treatment is available for kids. Puberty blockers are generally not available, hence denying the kids the chance to avoid unwanted changes to their body, and denying them the opportunity to delay the choice until they are old enough. No surgery is available until they are adult. And hormones only start to be possible at 16.

I believed you lot when my child told me they were trans. You are dead wrong! Healthcare should not bow to ignorant social pressure.
Do health services ever make mistakes? Yes, in every single branch. The counselling and assessment in GID care is rigorous. It's extremely difficult to get hormones and surgery. The reason so many referred do transition is they have the correct diagnosis for their presentation.
Rarely, a patient will seek inappropriate treatment and will fool staff.
Trans doesn't mean gay. There's a lot of discussion around sexuality in assessment and care. Some refuse or feel unable to explore sexuality until transition is started.
My trans child identifies as male and is attracted to men. Is very happy with his transition and surgery.
Children under 16, do not receive hormones or surgery in UK. At this age a child can have sex and give birth. They can chose to transition with Gillick competence.

Neither Children nor Adults can do anything other than be surgically disfigured, they cannot "transition" to another gender. The word "transition" is a lie.

Without a doubt it is odd. And people are often mistaken about themselves or are known to downright lie about themselves. In the US the surge in females to males is off the charts. The hormones, genitalia and bone structure are normal (objective and measurable) but we are to take someone’s subjective report of feelings over the objective. Isn’t it a little weird the body, chromosomes are normal but the person feels like a mismatch to a gender? It is fascinating. Affirmative care just seems odd. Does anyone think I Am Jazz’s bottom surgeries have gone well? To assume people from any class do not lie is naive. In the US, we also have trans widows and kids cutting off family members. It’s weird.

How in the world someone would trade in a natural, healthy body for something else (even a lot of plastic surgeries fit this mold beyond gender affirming surgeries -using PC language) over a perceived mismatch between the mind and body is beyond me. We should try to be content when given a healthy body. Quit tinkering with nature.
