Fragile USB-C Charging Socket on Acer ChromeBook

These USB-C charging sockets (DC jacks) can be quite easily damaged. I've noticed HP are going back to the old 'barrel' style plug/jack on newer models. I think this is the answer; just make it so you have the OPTION to use USB-C for charging but it shouldn't be the main or only option on a laptop.
I highly recommend the FNIRSI FNB58 USB Tester. I bought it because it is well made, supports PD3.1 and goes up to 7 amps.
