They all look like just a bunch of friends, not actors, just friends with scripts.
There is a podcast called Office Ladies, with Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey
(Angela). They are doing a podcast for each episode and sharing details and behind the scenes details on each epi. They just started, so they've covered the first five episodes so far. One thing that they continue to reference is how close they all are, and how the whole cast is like a family. Each podcast clocks in at a little under an hour, and is DEFINITELY worth checking out- if you haven't already!! :)

I love how he's literally not even playing a character lol, that is clearly what happened

He was an extra from the beginning that the writers decided to keep.
Pretty sure that's almost exactly how April from Parks and Rec got the role, I think she was on the production staff and was just such a deeply weird person that they wrote her into the show.
It’s funny how Angela Kinsey is one of the most smiley people out of the entire cast yet she plays the biggest buzz kill ever.

It honestly looks like everyone was given a vague idea on what to say, and just have to roll with whatever happens
That’s acting.
Well especially in this show, an immense amount of improv was used. They’re all exceptional actors that just knew their character very well. And because of that, we’re able to help script some of the episodes and really be able to have fun with their characters. It’s a really cool cast.

Gotta love how Creed, the actor, doesn't seem to know how to accentuate the line. "YOU'RE not real!" It's as if he thinks he's just supposed to accuse Jim of not being real out of nowhere. Twice as funny
3:04 is so underrated because Ed Helms did some perfect improv. It was so natural yet funny. Then you have John in the corner progressively trying harder and harder to hold in the laughter.

Ya know, Steve has to be the most busy out of all of them and he never gets frustrated when people ruin a take. He must be a guy of great patience. In some of these blooper reels you can notice someone getting frustrated because they want to be done but it’s never Steve.

No worries. According to interviews, a lot of takes where people crack get used anyway. The editors just cut around it with reaction shots and cutaways filmed at another time. It can actually be fun to watch the background of the show for people covering their mouths or breaking at the end of takes.
