I'll bring it to show you you're not that far from me, how do you fancy doing this collab? 1 vision, 2 bowls? Exchange blanks?
Let me know your thoughts we'll go from there!

Will! You made a purty one! LOL! Honestly, it is very pretty. I like the colors and the sparkles. They look really great against the natural wood grain. Really good job!

Thanks Phil! I'm trying different things as my channel isn't growing past 180 subscribers which is pitiful, new bowl and vid up tomorrow. Do you have any advice on how I can grow my subscriber base? I could really do with a collaboration from somebody with a decent subscriber base, but I'm not sure who to ask and and don't wanna impose on folks who are already flat out doing there own thing, difficult situation!

@@willmakeseverything3829 There are two things you might consider to grow your channel, Will.
      1. Put out regular videos, at least one each week on the same day and at the same time. Subscribers will begin to expect and look for your videos. 2. Have one focus. Consider a second or third channel for anything that isn't woodturning. I think both of those are very important.
Other things to consider though not absolutely necessary, are talking about what you are doing, either live or by narration. Obviously, this is not necessary, just look at Andy Phillip! But, for us mortals, I think it's a good idea. Also, I've noticed you seem to be making shorter and shorter videos. I have experimented with that myself and I'm not sure it's a great idea. It seems like 15-20 minutes might be a good length. Some people get away with 45 minutes or more but I find myself FF through much of that. Too short and you just aren't giving any info of why and what. The viewers want to be engaged and five minutes won't even let them finish their coffee! Hope that helps, buddy, take care!

@@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop thanks Phil, I will take what you've said on board! I've been making short videos because the people I know from the pub etc will never watch till the end of a 10 minute video let alone 20 minutes, but i know from your vids and Doug's vids that I will sit and watch 20/30 minutes easy. I think I will do 2 videos for each project, one full video with narration, and one short with music for the Facebook generation.
With regard to the other content on my channel, I'm going to remove it shortly, I've been meaning to for ages.

Do you think it'd be worth the time/possible to build a lathe? I was thinking of using a dryer/washing machine motor. Most can run at at least 1400 rpm, so speed isn't an issue, but reckon they'd have enough torque(if that's the right term)?
