i'm buying an 88 Astro this weekend straight body only one small dent in the rear bumper. No rust or sun fade damage. it a copper gold color. They put a new engine in her 50k ago. new shocks and brakes rebuilt. only problem is the transmission won't shift out of 1st gear. im paying 200 dollars for her. Will be my first car if you don't count my motor home. just sold one of my bikes two weeks ago. got my first vehicle a year and a half ago, bought a 2014 Suzuki SFV 650 new. bought the 81 Goldwing in September, which i just sold. parents gave me the 1990 e350 21 foot motor home for my 21st birthday this year. now i'm getting the Astro! Thank you for the video now i know how to operate 95% of the vehicle which is very helpful. lol
Ended up scrapping the astro and got a different vehicle. Transmission has been beyond what I can currently handle don't have a lift or a garage to rebuild the transmission. Just had my trans go out in my 02 Santa Fe. So now I'm again without a vehicle.
@fordmustang98guy 20 years ago a little while after he bought his 2003 Mitsubishi outlander, he gave the van to my uncle. He would sometimes use the van on the weekends. He got into an accident with the 03 Mitsubishi, now he has a 2015 Mazda CX-5 had it since brand new, it has almost 60k miles and never had a problem with it. That astro van was like a tank.
couple years ago a semi barely hit on a freeway and broke the exhaust off and since then i havent remembered how our sounds anymore it sounds like some truck that are around where i live
Wtf is this obsession with the damn keys?? You show them about 6 different times and wasted a good 45 seconds of our time showing them over and over again!

Helluva vehicle. My 94 may be rusting out, but it still fires right up even after sitting for several months.
My dad used to have a 91 Astro.

Still a very simple and reliable GM design. They were and continue to b a very versatile type vehicle built from 1985-2005. 👍

My husband has a 1990 and he trying to figure it out right now as we speak.
You could have a bad blower motor or blower motor resistor.
I had the same problem and when I changed out the blower it started working again.
