*at the 32 minute mark, I explain how i've installed a temp section of PPF to showcase the film's self-healing abilities to the Spyder RS' friend (who has since booked in with their Targa GTS after being amazed by what they saw), but I go on to say "let them scratch the film" - ha! I certainly did not let them "scratch the film"... I did it myself, as per the demonstration on camera.
Very happy about your new upload! Kind of missing the original full „white detail“ without PPF. Any chances that there will be more of those projects again?
+1 to this, it's what brought me here originally and I miss them.
+1
Yes !
Same. I guess ppf is more profitable for him, so it's very unlikely to see non ppf videos going forward, or maybe only very occasionally.
Yaay! So happy to see another video from you!
No one comes close to your level of craftmanship
Jim, it really is so awesome to see you post to CZcams again. Big fan from across the big pond.
Welxome back Jim!
You are truly in a class all by yourself. Master detailer for sure. 👏 Bravo
If CZcams was a meritocracy your channel would be one of the biggest on here. Great work and great presentation too. I don't know how you find the time to edit and create the content, but I do know it's not without sacrifice. Well done Jim
Its nice to see you back. The Spyder came out perfectly as usual. One day, when my number are picked out, I'll call you to carry out a full prep and PPF on my Non RS GT3 in paint to sample Olsoblue with satin black wheels with ceramic brakes (no need to dry). And watch your perfection in absolute awe 🫡
Yes yes yes, I was getting worrried things were going quiet. Loved your content for so long. Epic work 👍
As someone who struggles to fit a screen protector to my phone without getting fluff and fingerprints everywhere it’s deeply impressive to watch you fitting big sheets of PPF to such complex shapes as the bumpers. Great work as always Jim.
I believe you would need a "clean room " in one of those NASA buildings to actually get the protector on flawlessly .. damn tricky bits of plastic .. especially i you have 2 cats in the house ..
Glad to see you on CZcams again!
Hi Jim👋🏻. Been waiting far too long for you to post again. Honestly, you are an absolute inspiration. Your dedication and hard graft to achieve perfection is inspiring. Your videos are one of the things I always look forward to watching. Keep up the amazing work 👍🏻
Welcome back. Since there are those among us who don't like seeing PPF as part of your protection package, would it be better having PPF installations done as Part 2 of your videos?
If you have time, I'd really like to see that AMG. Great job as always I do aspire to be as awesome as your are when it comes to paint correction, yours is the best I've seen
Was worried you’d left CZcams, great to see you back doing more superb work!!
Incredible job as always. Your level of work is second to none and really appreciate you sharing it on you tube as the video production clearly takes a large amount of time in addition to the work you’ve already done.
Missed the vlogs Jim. Hope everything is well
Super nice to see your video on You Tube today!! That is a beautiful color blue and to see three in one video was well done. I hope to see more of your videos soon. 🤞
Support vehicle looking great!
The rims looking Amazing
That 718 spyder looks like it has had panel work.probably suffered post factory damage and been repaired. Would also echo some in seeing some full pre ppl detailing if you still do that. Miss your CZcams videos.
What a car, what a job, correction reflection perfection indeed 👍👍
Good to see you back Jim & nice to know you’ve still got the bike!
Lovely work, as always👌🏻👍🏻
Glad your back and in true form....attention to detail!!
Great to see you back Jim. Yet another top edit, music and info on this vlog.
What a pro. I would love to have my car detailed with you . 😀
I've been having White Details withdrawals! I subscribe to the Instagram feed, but it isn't the same! Welcome back, my friend!
So remember to budget for paint correction by Jim for your badly finished ex-works Porsche before you sign...
Superb work, truly amazing to watch a true pro in action, you make it look so easy!!
What a treat it was to see another video. I really hope you video the Mercedes AMG GT, such an amazing car. Great work on the Porsche with PPF and as always the paint enhancement and ceramic. Much respect to you from across the Pond, state side. Keep up the amazing work. And glad to see the BMW
Glad to see you back on CZcams.
It took me 3 days to prep my little Boxster after I let the dealer do the PDI but this range topping Spyder RS is truly appalling standard finish from factory. Way worse than my little 4 pot entry model. You are the very best
It's been way too long Jim, great that you are back on U-Tube 👍
Good to see you back with perf.ness🤩
Another chill video from the WD kitchen. Thanks for sharing, Jim! Where do you get the tunes from?
Always inspiring!
I hope you are OK now, as always you make artworks. Thanks for the videos
Amazing work, as usual. Really enjoy your content.
영상 기다렸어요!!
I look forward to your videos - keep them coming!
👍👍👍👍 From a big fan , Nova Scotia Canada.🇨🇦
Yes.
(Yes)🎉thanks for the new uploads
woo-hoooo!
Missed you Jim!!
Welcome back and greetings from Prague. If I had an unlimited budget for a Porsche, I'd buy that smaller version - it's perfect ! Kinda shocking how bad the paint comes from the factory though. For an expensive car I'd expect better. Though I imagine a dealership would just tell you to take it or leave it. Reading that Taycan values are falling very fast, so the owner must really love his car
Hi Jim
Glad to see more of your brilliant (as usual) detailing content.
I know you are a detailer who CZcamss rather than the other way, so appreciate all the insights into your profession.
Ive missed some videos so it may be you have explained why, but there is a change from coatings to PPF film. Any reason for the change?
Keep up the good work.
Fantastic Jim as always, love everything that you do……I could just watch what you do for hours…..have you ever thought about creating an online chargeable training course for weekend warriors like me?……just a thought…….
1) Welcome back!
2) Fantastic work, as always.
3) I am always shocked by how bad the paint can be on high end cars - it's like they just spray on a thick enough layer and leave the rest to the owner/detailer.
4) Re the Spyder RS - I wonder what the consensus is on all silver wheels with the Gentian blue (and dark blue in general)? Personally, I like it, but I know some definitely don't.
Does the polishing compound not get removed with the decontamination stage?
Welcome back! Yes, has been a while but quality over quantity. Just make sure to look after your shoulder etc for any discomfort!! :)
Thanks for the advice.Gav
Lost for words on that rear quarter, how does that leave the factory on a car off that value😬
Good to see you back Jim! What a shame the paint of the Spider is so terrible!
Bloody hell, thought you disappeared and went to work in Sainsbury's car park or something lol
Jim - Do you think Modesta BC-04 is still the best coating? My Levante has BC-04. Pan had Yvan of C6 Ceramics on his channel recently and in the comments DIY told me Modesta's technology isn't relevant anymore [compared to newer coatings].
Hi I don't know would be OK to ask you some advice , I've got a new 2024 Astra and I'll be giving it the first proper clean since the p.d.i clean. I'll be polishing it with Autoglym super resin polish , and was wondering if I need or it will be OK to use Autoglym Rapid ceramic spray or not some people say I must use a panel wipe beforehand, if so what type or make? Thanks Gav.
Super Resin Polish has fillers in it and the panel wipe will remove all that so you'll be back to square one. SRP, ceramic spray straight over the top and you'll be good 👍
Very nice carp mate, what was the weight?
23lb 👌
Why do u still prefer using a clay bar vs. a clay mitt or towel?
I'm only an amateur and even I threw the clay mitt in the bin after a single panel. They leave marring like no tomorrow. Yes it was a branded mitt from a respected supplier
Мастер👌
£130,000 porsche with that amount of bad paint? Send it back!
Gentian Blue is pronounced "jen·shn" Jim.
What dummy would buy a taycan now,the ev market is crumbling 🙈
Oooooooof
The area where you clean the car's NEEDS a tidy up!
All the weeds and green moss in between the pavers.
PPF is the money maker. literally back the truck of money up. good on ya.
but booooooooring.
