Despite the weather conditions, I ventured down to Iowa on the third Saturday in September to take a gamble in Story County. This siren was inactive for a very long time, but the power switch was flipped back on at some point in the last year. Dylan went here in July and said it did full attack, so Connor and I rolled our dice there. About five minutes after noon, it zipped to life and roared for three minutes in attack just like it did for Dylan. And my goodness, this thing was loud! It’s also very peppy, and winds up nice and quick. It’s always nice to see another community in Story with a working siren. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
Story County tests their siren system on the first and third Saturday of every month at 12 PM.

They have two of these sirens in Ocean City, MD. But in Different colors. The first one is on 100th St, and the second one is located by the Ocean City Fire Headquarters. One is in red and one is in yellow.
The red one is for fires.

Why did they test this 2T22 on a cloudy day?? People are gonna think it's a tornado siren goin' off.
Cancelling siren tests for cloudy weather breaks the rhythm of your schedule. If you want people to familiarize themselves with the test schedule, you should only be cancelling tests in actual severe weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms).
@@mnsirens Oh, I get it now. It's just that in north-eastern Oklahoma, they usually don't test sirens on overcast conditions. Then again, this isn't Oklahoma.

I’m wondering why the full 3 minute attack mode was allowed to sound…..I thought that should only be used in the event of an actual enemy attack.
Our fire department's siren has been on this pattern for qs long as I know for structure fires
