    Hi Sahaj, thanks for the vid. I got the 7.5 cm extention and its good. In order to get the longest extention, it would be a good idea to sell "curved" extentions, like the real helicopter or jet fighter controls. Best regards

    Hi mate bought one of your small black extension 7.5cm I think it arrived 2 days ago. Got my stick on a centre bracket and fitted your extension couple of days ago makes a massive difference , so accurate . I highly recommend them thanks very much.

    The warthog could have been one beastly joystick. But like everything made by Thrustmaster outside it is the perfect joystick, but inside, like Clarkson put it, it`s made out of spit and cleanex. I wonder if the extra pressure put on the shitty plastic ghimbal does not make it crack. Also be careful when using electric screw drivers because it is a high risk you can strip the crappy screws they use..

      I am not sure I understand? What is your goal you want to achieve? Blue spring is the strongest/heaviest - green spring is the softest and therefore also the lightest.

    I've installed the blue spring with the 20 cm extension:
    The blue spring is very squeaky. I noticed the stock black spring was extremely lubricated, and I didn't notice any instructions for your springs regarding lubricant, so I added none.
    Recommendations?

      @sahajsahajdaczny2463  Před 3 lety

      Hi Chris, it depends on your personal flying preference. Some guys like a strong centering force, the others like the soft and precise control which is more comfortable for your hand. While 'on' with one of mine 10 cm extension I would recommend the RED SPRING to keep the force similar to the original Warthog centering force without the spring the movements become softer.

    • @sahajsahajdaczny2463
      @sahajsahajdaczny2463  Před 3 lety +1

      You can keep the plastic cowling on with the original spring and the green spring. When a red or a blue springs are installed you need to remove it since the springs are bigger. To be honest I removed it even with the original spring since it caused some friction.

    How come you have to remove the plastic dust cover (thus exposing the innards) - can you not just replace the spring (green in my case) and put the cover back on like stock? Or is there some fitment issue?

    • @jonfitton3021
      @jonfitton3021 Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jon,
      thank you for stepping by.
      The green spring is just smaller and you can leave the plastic cowling on the base. With red or blue spring you have to leave it out as the springs are bigger. My dust covers will protect your flying gear from exposing the innards.

    • @jackem6001
      @jackem6001 Před 6 lety +2

      Many of us Warthog users have the joysticks placed on our desks, where its standard height is about as high as you would want a joystick to be - any higher, and it results in an unnatural arm position that would cause discomfort and controllability problem.
      So adding any extension means that another, lower placement of the joystick is necessary, on some special platform or chair extension (or if long enough, on the floor). That's not an option I have in my office. So Sahaj, I think that there is a huge market for folks like me who simply need the large centralizing spring reduced in stiffness. (I tried the solution that I saw online of replacing the four smaller springs. It made no difference - they are so much weaker than the large single spring, so can't possibly work to reduce the overall stiffness.)
      Since you already sell such springs, albeit to increase stiffness to counter the longer lever arms of your extensions, it would surely be simple for you to offer weaker springs (maybe in two stiffnesses) and increase your clientele significantly, since I suspect that most Warthog users want more controllability, but with unchanged dimensions. You'd reach a far more mainstream market while doing something that you already know how to do. How about it?

    • @sahajsahajdaczny2463
      @sahajsahajdaczny2463  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Jack,
      Yes, I am seriously thinking about it. I will be exploring the option in the beginning of 2018.
      Still, I recommend to try out the 7,5 cm piece, it will drastically change your Warthog experience so far.
      S! Sahaj

    • @jackem6001
      @jackem6001 Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Sahaj: I tried placing my joystick on a 7,5 cm pile of books to simulate what a 7,5 cm extension would feel like. My forearm angle, from elbow to hand, slopes up too steeply to be comfortable (the large standard Warthog is already higher than I would prefer). And since I don't want to construct any separate lower platform attached to my desk or chair, the extension is not really an option for that reason.
      Enthusiasts building dedicated flight sim rigs will naturally look to buy your extensions, but I suspect that there's a much larger market for those who, like me, want to fly simulators from their usual desks. We love the Warthog's design and quality, but find its stiffness an impediment to smooth flying - an impediment that I'm sure can be solved by using a less stiff centering spring.

      Have you thought about using table mount here *czcams.com/video/kN83TQoI-bk/video.html* It could lower the hight of the stick enough to balance the problem out. If you don't mind the cost that is. I suppose it depends on how much of an enthusiast a person is.
