What utter bulldshit. I smoked 5 a day in the US because they were so strong, vs 20 a day back home.

I am conducting a simillar experiment on myself. I'm finding that I am going through nicotine withdrawls. I am smoking but not getting the drug I'm craving. The less nicotine level and tar in the new cigs helps a little with cravings but I can tell that im going through withdrawls.

Since Japan has a lower nicotine cigarettes I tried it .. at first I smoke a 10mg nicotine .. then I slowly change my brand over time to the lowest one .. now I am smoking 0.1 mg nicotine and Reduced to 5 stick per day .. Jumping to lowest nic. Content is hard .. you will always be looking for the sensation the higher cig. Have .. my goal is to be fully dependent .. and now I think Im about to be there ..

My guess is the weaker cigarette suck so they weren’t as excited to smoke them

They smoked less because they weren't their favorite cigarette. They don't want to smoke a cigarette that doesn't taste as good to them as what they normally smoke. Kinda like choosing off brand dollar store cheesy nachos or Doritos? No brainier most everybody will eat the whole damn bag of Doritos cause they are that damn good. Lol. Now I want some Doritos and a cigarette. Lol 😆

Sorry, but your information is outdated. 22nd Century owns over 200 patents on technology that blocks the nicotine created in the roots from reaching the leaves. Thus, there is no need to use chemicals to "bleach" the nicotine out of the tobacco. VLN has 95% less nicotine than regular cigarettes!
Think about how caffeine is removed from a coffee bean:
"All decaffeination processes use a decaffeinating agent (such as methylene chloride, activated charcoal, CO2, or ethyl acetate)."
That's why decaf coffee lacks the robust aroma and flavor of regular coffee.
22nd Century is unique in how they produce the Very Low Nicotine (VLN) cigarettes with 95% less nicotine. In clinical studies, investigators found smokers who do not intend to quit still reduced their cigarettes per day by about 30% after 6 weeks and 50% after 20 weeks.
Whether it's Moonlight or another name like VLN, many smokers who are addicted to the disgustingly nasty nicotine habit will soon have "choice."
I believe the FDA will do the right thing and by supporting "smokers rights" to that "choice."

@@autisticghostdog8179 That is no longer the case. VLN removes 95% of nicotine without changing the overall smoking experience as actual Clinical Studies show.
For example, in clinical studies, investigators found smokers who do not intend to quit still reduced their cigarettes per day by about 30% after 6 weeks and 50% after 20 weeks.

Sounds like propaganda to sell more light cigarettes. Almost none of these researches are independent either. If you have to smoke definitely do smoke full strength to minimise the number of cigarettes smoked. Switching to a light almost always ensures having to smoke and inhale more cigarettes that gets in your lungs to satisfy the craving. Needless to say more smoke is worse regardless the nicotine amount. Better yet dont start
