- Vauxhall has given its award-winning supermini a facelift, updating the practical powerhouse with some stylish new looks and quality-of-life additions that ensures the Corsa has something for everyone.
With state-of-the-art driver assistance systems and a 0-62mph time (8.7 seconds) that is nothing to sneeze at thanks to its 1.2-litre turbo engine, this Vauxhall Corsa Ultimate (or Opel Corsa Ultimate if you're outside the UK) might be the supermini you’ve been looking for. Plus, with some of the most luxurious and comfortable interior features in its class, it’s no wonder that Vauxhall is calling it the Corsa Ultimate.
But how will Duncan Vincent find this updated supermini? Does it live up to its name, or is it only a Corsa ‘Meh’? Find out as Duncan puts the Corsa through its paces in this episode of Road Test.

I've been driving one for 3 weeks or so, love it. The GS model was the same (ish) price monthly as a base Design model with a turbo in it, so I went Design with a turbo. Turbo totally changes the car and gives you a 6th gear, absolutely lovely to drive
They’re economical, reliable, good for long trips. Don’t have much emotion to them, that’s all you could possibly criticise. Slightly more compact (say) than a polo, which is very useful if you live in a tenement and park on the street.
This fella was born to review cars! I have never enjoyed watching a car review as much as this one - funny and fully informative! Absolutely superb job, Sir - and not just because I'm also from Glasgow!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. We're very lucky to have him. Really glad that you're enjoying the videos, there's plenty more to come.
Lane keep assist is a nuisance in the Welsh lanes so goes off instantly! Wish it would stay off though. I have a Mokka e ultimate and those intellilux headlights are absolutely superb
I was saying the same at Wales
I'm finding the online manual difficult to use- is this the way all Stellantis car manual are issued? It mentions power adjustment for the driver's seat- mine is manual, can't see why the power version is missing. It will take me some time to work my way through the manual to get settings sorted, not entirely happy with that.
Just bought a 2022 1.2i turbo,100hp and i quite like it and agree with all you said about them .
Sounds like a great buy. We also agree with what you think.
Nice car great review!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Looks lovely what's it like to drive ? Love the review😊
It's definitely worth taking a test drive if you want to get the full Vauxhall Corsa Ultimate experience. But overall, as Duncan says, it's fun!
It says in the brochure that the Ultimate variant has interior ambient LED lighting... what does this look like? Not seen pictures ANYWHERE of it.
Pick mine up tomorrow so I’ll let you know
Didn't think it came with ambient lighting? Did you find find out in the end? I've got my mine coming in a couple of weeks @@ivyanddadmetaldetectinguk9192
Those touch screen controls should be subject to the same ban as mobile phones, you need proper switches that you can operate without taking your eyes off the road.
Yep that's a nag with me too ,👍
Nice car, tech, comfort etc... still that wetbelt engine inside right? My grandland x failed at 25k miles, worst engine. Met people who needs engine replacement under 30k miles for vaxhuall grandland x. So will be same for here aswell.
Great presenter
Thank you kindly. We think so too!
130 BHP ?? that's the Auto !
Stage one remap. 100 bhp/130 £250.
Idk
How does this compare to a polo?
Polo feels slightly more stable, less easily disturbed on bumpy roads. Polos with decent engines are expensive though, and they’re quite big, not ideal if you have to park on the street.
First of all it’s not a supermini. The Fiat Panda and the Renault Twingo of yore were superminis.
This might be a controversial view and it has grown in size over the years, but the Corsa has won awards in the 'Best Supermini' fairly recently.
It is the best...
It sure is up there. There's a reason they're so populuar.
@@ArnoldClarkAutos I am german and drove a Opel Corsa F for three years.....the best car I ever had....even when the prize reaching 20.000Euro for the basic model........I spent my holidays in England every year.....the Corsa is very much appropriate for narrow english roads.....😉
Very much so. Unfortunately, the cars keep getting wider and the roads just stay the same.
Why are you sitting so close and with your legs so bent 🙄 ? And not only in this car ,but also in other vehicles 🙄...here it is only more pronounced because the cars are small 😀... I look at you and feel cramped 😄 squeeze
Firstly, thanks for watching our videos so closely. Duncan's an experienced racing driver with years of experience, so it's just his preferred seating setup.
