Just a thought came in my mind...DISCLAIMER: Anybody, please don't get offended.
    (1) it might have happened that, after listening to the "Sakal ban" by bahadur shah zafar, he adopted the pen name "Aashiq rang"
    OR
    (2) may be it is just a co-incident that the pen name is the exactly same, what comes in the composition.
Bcoz, at the time we are focusing on the "Ashiq Rang" we should not forget the "Nizamuddin ke darwaze par" line and the super popular story behind the creation of "Sakal ban".

Hello , great video and thanks soo much for a great knowledge .
I have an old book of Ustad Chand Khan on Hazrat Ameer Khusro Rh in Urdu language.
In that book there is a story that Hazrat Ameer Khusro has created the Raag Bahar and Sakal ban phool rahi sarsoo.
He seen that in the month of Basant people are going for worship in temples and bringing flowers. He created a flower bookey and reached out to his master hazarat Nizam ud din Auliya rh. While singing Sakal ban phool rahi sarso.
Its the tradition he started and since now all the shrines of Delhi have this ritual where they bring flowers.
On top as far as i have read about Bahadur Shah Zafar , his pen name or Poetry name was Zafar not Ashiq. There could have been variations of this composition and poetry by many poets.
    But God knows better.
    Thanks

I believe I have read the book that you mention. It is an old urban legend, raag bahar came much after raag miyan ki malhar, Shokh Rang was indeed Zafar's pen name for his poorbi/braj/awadhi poems.

😑😑 ALSO FIX OF YOUR HUGE MISTAKE "TOLD" BY UOU TO THE WHOLE WORLD THAT RBAAB IS AN AFGHANISTANI INSTRUMENT. WHEREAS ITS AN INDIAN INSTRUMENT CREATED BY GURU NAANAK DEV JI BY MAKING SOME CHANGES IN AN EXISTING INSTRUMENT OF THAT TIME. AND HE GIFTED IT TO BHAI MARDANA WHO ACCOMPANIED GURU JI TO PLAY IT WHEN HE SANG THE SHABAD. GURU JI INITIALLY MADE IT FOR HIMSELF AND ALSO PLAYED IT ALONG WITH SINGING ALL SHABAD IN RAAG. ALL SIKH SHABAD ARE WRITTEN IN PARTICULAR RAAG BY ALL SIKH GURU. 🙏
