@@nickjames5129 Why though? What does this have to do with performance? If you want that go watch the sole drop channel. He does a sneak test on every review I believe. This dude just gives out straight up facts about performance. Squeak has nothing to do and would literally be a waste of his time so it seems. None of that was aggressive at all so please don't take it that way. I always thought that was an odd category for a performance review unless I'm missing something and I play 3-4 times a week.
I hoop in the JH6 and I love them. I saw a dude at the gym hooping in the 7s. When my team lost I watched his footwork on the court and they looked grippy. I asked him what he thought of them and he said theyre solid.
Hey Doc, can you please add a reference point for the single leg jump and ball bounce test. There is no way for the viewer to understand how the shoe your reviewing compares to others on the jump stats without an average to compare to
I'll have to check these out. My biggest issue is finding shoes wide enough in the midfoot. So many shoes curve inward there (to mimic normal foot shape) and it can get pretty narrow.
Went from curry 10s to this and let me tell you. I've played the best basketball I have in years with these. Definitely my favorite hoop shoes I ever had. Bag is very deep with these on.
really like the way they look, wish the sides were a bit more slim, but i just purchased another pair of harden 1's which to date are still the best basketball shoe i've played in
The higher bounce on the boost is because the boost is contained by the outsole on all sides, allowing the boost to compress and absorb an impact less than it usuall would; it's not because the foam is tuned!
Actually like the way they look.saw these in store a few days ago and upon checking it wasnt as narrow inside as it looks.might give these a try when they go on sale.great review as akways.
it's a look that has to grow on you but once you get past that, it seems like they are rated pretty highly....since my hoop days are behind me and I am into pickleball a lot, i always am interested to see what a shoe can provide for a sport that has very similar movements like quick starts and stops, side to side stops and starts and overall support and stability...great review Zach
I bought this shoe and I love it. Thanks for your great review and breaking it down so nicely. These are very comfortable but a bit heavy on the heel, still just love the traction and the support, surprisingly very stable even though the sock type uppers.
The design is definitely polarizing but I absolutely love the way they look. Been waiting a while to get a pair and jumped on the silver ones when they released. Then I saw the yellow ones and decided to get those instead. Can't wait to hoop in them as the reviews have been great!
Hey doc please make a bounce test video where you compare the shoes side to side to rank them for bounce , traction , breathability etc. Since you usually cut up one shoe it makes it easier for the single leg jump height test since its more recent too , as well as most test require one shoe.

I've had these for 4 months and everything is great however I have two negatives. I'm a really shifty player and this shoe cannot fully tighten around the forefoot because of its lace placement. And you also sweat a lot more in these, shoes are always sweaty in the inside after a game or training. In my curry 10s my feet sweat way less.
i have a lot of trouble with pain in the balls of my feet in my forefoot and i was wondering if the lightstrike is enough to make it comfortable. the vol. 6 with full boost was perfect for it idk how much of a downgrade lightstrike is
Just not a fan of the overuse of light strike in the forefoot. And honestly i just dont get why also... boost is so incredibly nice and was (when it was brand new tech) incredibly well integrated (f.e. in the Crazy Explosives). Air and Zoom from Nike are decades old tech and still get implemented a lot because the WORK aswell. Adidas is completely on the wrong track regarding cushion technology and implementation imo.
I see that the shoe is thin on the front part, I have high hopes of this shoe to fit, as i have a weired condition, my right foot big toe is big, tore my nail off wearing some of the old harden low tops. im wondering if this is a common issue with some people.
The shoes that allowing to get all the calls in the game incl. violently exaggerated head jerking to automatic hooking arms that sends Hardee's straight to the charity line before the rule changed. The Shoes needing upgrade version for the new rule change to accomodate Hardee's recent failing stats.
The first time I saw leaks I liked them. This is the most refreshing design in a while. It looks nothing like the ones we have these days, finally a shoe that pushes design to a new high. You wanna see a generic-looking design that just hides on colorful colorways? look no further than the new lebron. Looks straight out of the generic shoe in 2k.
I wouldn’t say haters so much. Probably just the looks don’t fit some people’s style. Kinda like Yeezy’s(any model) don’t fit me style wise. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad shoe, just not for everyone. These Hardens look fine, but definitely not the first shoe I’d pickup as far as looks. Tatum 1’s and Ja 1’s look better in my opinion.

Yeh look I had the same problem but with Size US 13 - 12. This was my first pair of Adidas shoes and I am US 13 in all Nike and Jordan Shoes but with this, I went down a size and felt tight in my left foot towards my last two toes, Once I trained in them and played a game the shoe naturally stretched and now it fits fine. It has the same feeling of buying new Air Force 1s and the felt tight and a bit clunky but after a few days it disappears and your foot will mold to the shape so overall 10/10 shoe purely on tech specs. It picks up a tone of dust but one wipe with a wet or dry cloth/towel is all it takes to maintain them.
Do they have a removable insole? Like for example most Nike hoop shoes do.. The last Harden I ordered was the vol 5 and there the insole was part of the boost and could not really be removed - since I need to wear orthopedic insoles (abt 1cm thick) to play the shoe was way too tight and low for me.

Is this True to size? Because I have a harden stepback( because its cheaper) I bought in at half size up. I have size 11.5 and the harden is size 12, but its still kinda small for me especially in the mid sole and toebox.

What about the positions in basketball for these shoes?
after 6 months of playing in these, the lacing system snapped. I've also had issues with containment in the forefoot. Getting Two Wxy V4 now

Lightstrike isn’t great for forefoot pain if it’s a small stack- need a lot of it unlike boost

full length boost hardens are so good. I think they're just experimenting. And boost doesn't bottom out easily.

Different rubbers will behave different so that’s not really a general rule you can go by

i love them, but they should have put Neoprene over the big stitches in the heel because with thin socks the heel has strange pressure points
Sizing of Adidas is kinda tricky UK 7=US7.5 however on Nike’s UK7=US8 so should I just follow my UK size on this?
