I have a suggestion for future reviews: When you do the Grip Test Ramp, do two tests with the shoe positioned facing the ground and then facing the wall. I feel like some shoes have patterns that work better left-to-right than front-to-back, and it'll obviously affect the overall score of traction. Basketball isn't a linear-only sport after all.

they play really well, 5'9" 140-ish and normally play in lighter shoes but the heft of the hardens was a pleasant surprise. worn with move gameday insoles and transitioning from the sabrina's, these felt bouncy and the insole felt like it made more sense in the shape of the hardens. the laces pinch a little at the top of my foot so gonna try out some different lacing patterns but that's a "me-problem"

I haven’t felt this excited for a sneaker since the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. I can’t wait to cop a pair of these. Gonna wait for the green ones! Adidas so far has been killing it. Loved the easter egg lol! I think easter eggs like this should be placed randomly on the video tho. For me the vol. 8s are better than the AE1s but the vol. 7s are just different! Been playing for a year with them now outdoors and they dont have any signs of wear at all (just dirty). Are there any shoes similar to the 7s (great courtfeel, lockdown, grippy traction, excellent support, heavy but very light on foot) but is more springy in step even if it is low to the ground? Would also be great if they're actually lighter. Thanks doc!

Best pair of bball shoes that I currently own. At least for my age and weight. Bit on the older side at 5’8 210. After I play ball in these shoes, I have no immediate pain in my knees nor the next day. And I also play occasionally in way of wade 808 2 ultra v2s and KT8s and both of those shoes cushioning don’t come close to the volume 8s.
I like these so much I have 3 pairs 😂. And no, I don’t work for Adidas.
I also have a pair of KT9s I haven’t worn. But I’d heard the from this channel that the cushioning on those kicks are also pretty good?
I’ll update this comment after I’ve worn those shoes at least couple of times.
Looking forward to your next video Foot Doctor!

I love the look and the overall design of those shoes so much. But unfortunately it's unstable and easy to roll over/ sprain the ankles in comparison to the Vol. 7. The rounded lateral outsole of the Vol. 8 isn`t doing it for m. Also the much wider heel of the Vol. 7 is just so much more protective.
That was the reason I returned them. Maybe I'll buy them again if they're going on sale.

I think the problem is that the AE1s come with extra laces and a nice box while also being significantly cheaper than the Harden 8s.

I don't get how you fit any orthotic in these... If they have paper thin insoles then the space inside is designed for such paper thin insoles, so when you swap those for any orthotic than that will take away from the volume designed for your foot ... That means you have to at least go up half a size to feet your foot in ...
