    I bought Westlake tires back in September 2016 and those tires still have plenty of threads on them so quite frankly these are the best tires I've ever purchased so I'm planning to continue to but this brand for as long as they are on the market and their quality stays the same gals and guys.

    after driving 960 miles from The Dalles Oregon to Orange County CA the ride experience is significantly improved.
    Pros.
    Quite Ride.
    Improved Bump assorbstion.
    Tread wear still in excellent condition.
    cornering is amazing.
    Cons
    feels like your tire has no road contact because of how soft it is but handle great and traction is good so maybe it's just preference.
    balanced well.

    • @KZSoze
      @KZSoze Před 5 lety

      Places like Walmart that sell the tire online and deliver to the store will give you a road hazard warranty for around 10 bucks per tire. But if you're already getting cheaper than the $47 per tire I paid and get said warranty, why not take it. Although if you paid less than that, I'd imagine you got less than ZR rated tires, although I could be mistaken. Maybe you struck gold.

      In my experience yes they did moderately well in the rain I will note however that my traction control was on a little more then usual and my one handed driving was switch to two hands. On a scale of 1-10 as far as heavy rain traction I would give it a 5. There are better wet tire options available but for the most part forme these tires were ok for the price I paid. I'd give it a 50/50 if it's raining heavy and your paying 100% attention then should be ok if your not a focused driver correcting will be a bitch.

      So your tire height is will being stretched in inches from 24.6 to 24.8 your tire width remains the same and your revs/miles go from 820 to 815 I have seen people have there tire stretched my boy gets all my half tread tires and stretches them on to his Lexus IS250 with a 18 inch wheel has worked great for him. I would honestly say man to be safe I'd ask a more professional tire guy to confirm but yes I do have a friend who has stretched these tires Successfully and drive great for him.

      Depends on so many factors..not just the tire quality and rubber hardness/softness... driving habits and wheel alignment can wear down Quickly, even the best brands of tires... I had cheapo Sentury tires on my probe gt, which were rated at 35k mi and got 46k outta them.. but I dont burnout, or do power launches... I do corner briskly and the car is meticulously aligned...it all depends.

That is a great question I want to say yes they're different I purchased on Amazion some time ago and notice what youre talking about I believe the differernce is the rubber quality the rubber being harder on one and softer on the other the shape of the tire is also I believed to be different one offering way better corning and control I will say they also offer different speed rated versions of that tire some may have a V, W, or Y rating and so on and so forth so that will be a difference which can make the price fluctuate that is what I recall when I 1st looked into buying westlake

  • @verywired1
    @verywired1 Před 5 lety +2

    West lake tires are shit. Your review completely lacks any scientific evidence as to why you think they're good. West lake tires are among the worst that China has to offer. You bought a good reliable brand name car with an excellent reputation. Why would you not do the same for the only contact between you and the road? I agree that the firestone tires suck, but please.
