Finally, someone who knows the proper way to play the intro/verse riff. For years and years I've seen people play every note wrong and tab every note wrong, and it killed part of my soul every time. It's like, there's countless videos of him playing it live, you can see what he's fretting. Well done.
blitzkriegwitchcraft thanks for noticing, man! I study tons of live footage and try to get all the riffs as close as possible for every lesson I make. Teaching the songs correctly was one of my main motivations for doing the lessons in general.
@@DoesItDoom well it really shows! You do great for teaching these DOOM riffs and I always look forward to new shit by you
@@nephilimritual-band thanks brother! 🙏🏻🤘🏻
The tone and the riffs are like the sound of earthquakes and buildings crumbling down.
The tone is in that Behringer Superfuzz!
That would be the black amps, tearing the sky.
Don’t forget about feedback, it will free your mind and set you free.
*reaches for my sg immediately*
The proper reaction! 🤘🏻⚡️🧙🏻♂️🐐
Me too
I'd love to see we hate you, your videos just keep getting better man, keep up the great stuff
Thanks man. I will add it to the list. I’m always trying to do a better job for you guys.
We hate you is so much fun to play especially when you bend out on the course
Sf300 was my first pedal after not playing for 15 years and up until i bought my demon lung it was my main source of dirt. Glad to see it get the love it deserves
Best $25 you can spend if you’re into that Wizard / Monolord style FZ tone!
Another great video Steve! The tone on this one with the Behringer is spot on.
Thanks, bro! Love that Superfuzz!!
I got a Gibson SG Standard cuz I make them sound amazing. However….I never had any regrets buying this guitar. You definitely made killer videos and I am glad that I subscribed.
Kick ass sound man . I was hesitaded to buy this pedal but now you convised me. 11/52 B stardard tuning , strings seem to sound sharp enought.
Recommended by the algorithm, subscribed in the 2nd minute. Cool channel bro!
Awesome! Thanks for the sub! Much more to come.
You’re killing it man. Keep up the great work!
Garon Martin thanks man. I appreciate you checking it out.
Thanks for pumping out these videos for everyone. Great shit you’re doing.
My pleasure, bro. Thanks for watching!
Dude, you killed it! thanks for sharing! EW tutorials are always welcome. Wish we had youtube when I was trying to learn!
Thanks bro. Same here-that’s pretty much why I decided to start doing them.
Thanks for all the content
Rikasso66 you’re welcome! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!! 🤘🏻🐐🤘🏻
this song is so destructive, one of my faves from the album for sure
Agreed!
Perfectly done doom! That would make Ozzy smile! Well done!
I will be sharing this for sure. Been using this tuning for years. But always looking to learn more.
Thanks for sharing man. Appreciate you checking it out.
Sounds like heavy hot tar.. as it should. thanks for the lesson mate!
No problem. Thanks for watching.
hot tar is a great description.
Alex Y agreed!
discovered this band because of your video, it's pretty awesome
This channel is exactly what I needed
Awesome. Glad to hear it!
Do a vid for Boris Pink
God your production quality is always super. Nice tutorial 👌
Thanks man. I think I can make it much better yet tbh.
Man that TOAN is so good! I’ve been really eyeballing the orange crush series lately for my next amp purchase!
Foxywaterable thanks man. Those amps are great. In this video the amp is set clean and all of the dirt is coming from the Behringer SF300 Superfuzz.
I have orange simulation on my Mooer Radar and the orange amps my most used I'd buy one in real life if I need it.
NEW FAVOURITE CHANNEL! Yes man! Love it dude, can't wait to grab my guitar and learn this shit! Boom!
That’s awesome man! Thanks for watching!
I'd love to see you throw down some Candlemass songs... they're a bit more on the metal side of doom (less fuzz more marshall) but especially some of the riffs off Epicus Doomicus Metallicus are legendary. (But if you do stick in more Electric Wizard territory, I won't be sad!)
Daniel G thanks for watching, man. I get a pretty decent amount of requests to teach some Candlemass along with the other classic / traditional doom staples. I love all that stuff and will definitely do it.
Excellent video!
Thanks! Glad you liked the lesson.
That’s some killer tone, holy shit.
Thanks man. That pedal gets it done.
This song is a classic, thank you so much!!
Could you do some acid king gear rundown, I can't find any information on what lori uses
As far as I know she runs a Marshall JCM800 gets her tone from a 70’s Little Big Muff. The op-amp version. Here is a pic that sums it up:

As always, great tone, great gear, great video, and a great dude who knows his shit! Peace brother!
Sam Libman thanks so much, brother. I really appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching. 🤘🏻🐐⚡️🧙🏻♂️
Hell yeah sounds amazing!
Thanks, man! $25 pedal of doom.
Ive been wanting to buy one for a min. Now just never got around ro it and a tone that great for 25 bucks is killer! Love it!
ELECTRIC BOGAN yes! Awesome.
That tone is super sick btw
Sir Stashalot thanks man. That Behringer Superfuzz is killer.
@@DoesItDoom yeah i can tell. I almost bought it a while back. I have the mxr super vadass variac fuzz right now which i love. But im gonna get one of those too
Sir Stashalot nice. Can’t go wrong for $25 really.
I like all of your creativity
Thanks bro. I appreciate it.
Return trip will always be my favorite
Great tune. Often requested.
so glad I found your channel
Glad to hear that, Mia.
Ever a good video. Ever a good lesson. 🤘🐐
Thanks man! I appreciate it.
Another bad ass video Steve.
Still seriously hoping for some Cough, and some witchthroat serpent would be awesome as well.
Plus the tone from that Behringer is impressive.
CrippledWizard69 thanks bro. Appreciate it.
Night Child is my battle song. I’d love to learn that.
Damm that tone is great! Awesome to see Electric Wizard getting some love ✌🎸👍
Tone is all $25 Behringer Superfuzz! Thanks for watching. I love learning and teaching Wizard!
@@DoesItDoom I need to get me one of those! Cant beat a great fuzz that only cost 25 bucks
Joseph Etherton yeah man. They sound great-just like the Boss version.
i really LOVE what i see !!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much man!
You're welcome, man. Thanks for watching!
Awesome job! I'd kind of like to see a video of you just doing your own improv solos to some of these song. That quick clip at the end was gnarly and definitely not long enough! Also, you think Belzebong will ever find its way to your vidoes?
I’m never sure if people actually want that little improve section in there or not, so I’m glad you dig it! I will likely explore some lead lessons in the future at some point-I’m far from the best, I just play the blues.
great job man, keep it up. would love to see you do Barbarian
Got it all figured out. Will be one of the next Wizard lessons I do for sure! Thanks for watching!!
youre a legend
Ha. Glad you enjoyed the lesson.
Behringer pedals may be made cheaply with plastic but their quality is very good. I have their overdrive pedal for my bass and it’s really good. Kinda has the Fear Factory tone to it.
They make good sounding stuff.
Great tone
Thanks man.
thanks dude
Sure thing brother.
At last free friday, to obtain dopethrone as it should be. Washburn, superfuzz and old roland. 💀🐐🌲Thx Steve.
Awesome! Enjoy.
This pleases me.
🤘🏻🐐🧙🏻♂️Thanks for watching!
THANKS MAN
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching!
I have never paid much attention to this genre until I come to this channel, now I have a guitar detuned beyond C# and a Behringer Fuzzbox! Many thanks!
Oh and a bunch of Electric Wizard albums!
Nice!!
Thanks for the sf300 recommendation fucking love it, top lesson cheers
Awesome. It’s such a great sounding pedal, and the fact that it’s only $25 is unreal.
Yep I got it for 17 English pounds which is dirt cheap
Funny how big electric wizard has gotten anyways .. what you really need to show people is where it all started and do a winter lesson eternal frost would be the one . Cheers keep up the good work
For me personal, that´s one of the Best DOOM BANDS UNDER THIS FLAG/BANNER .What your mean ...???
PEDAL GONG SHOW Sleep and Electric Wizard lol Maybe a little Sword
You've beat me to the Doom related channel game. lol! I dig your stuff man. Cheers!
Thanks, man. There is plenty of room for more doom out here on YT!!
Moarrrrrrr
Need more!
Stoned meadow of doom. Peep it
@@wilfordgrimley4339 waaay ahead of you. Me and Clint go back. Good channel.
Great stuff
Thanks for watching!
Holy shit that tone is exact! Fuckin rockin it dude 🤘
All Behringer SF300 Superfuzz!
Pure fuzz brother
Holy shit man,sounds awesome,011-052 in B on a gibson scale,and here i was wondering if i could tune my 25.5 scale guitar with 013-060 on B.Now i know i won't have any problems.Great video!
Rodrigo Marks it’s really all a matter of personal preference, but I generally like my guitars to feel pretty slinky so it will still be too light for some people for sure.
Yeah i see you have a very controlled picking,so i think the 013-060 will work fine for me.Thanks for the advice man!
Vinnum sabbathi or supercoven
Both, yes!
Vinnum sabbathi yes!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Super helpful video! You’ve absolutely earned yourself a sub! I love how you include the gear you use as well, including the string type you use.
I also have a question about the strings: is there a string gauge/brand you would prefer to use if you played along with the whole album? I think the band changes their tunings for different songs on Dopethrone, so I was wondering if there’s one single string set you would use for the entire album.
Thanks man. Some songs are in A#\Bb Standard and others in B for sure. Not sure if other tunings were used. For those tunings the 11-52 work fine for me, but I prefer light strings.
Does It Doom?
Sounds good! Thanks for the quick reply btw!
John Rosario sure thing. Thanks for watching!
Thanx DUDE :::ILOVE this Band/LP/SONG .... absolut CULT SONG. Thanx. I play it for years, same than You. I am happy ;) :) BEST WISHES for the FUTURE ! And YES that´s DOMM per EXELENXE !!!
Awesome dud! I like to teach from these videos, very helpful cuz im total beginner in guitar x)
Glad to hear that man! Any questions, let me know! And thanks for watching.
Could you please do a video about saint vitus. About the sound an some detail?
I know your channel for a couple of hours now. Love it!
One of my favorite bands man. Will touch on them here soon. Thanks for checking out the channel! 🤘🏻🐐🤘🏻
Return trip lesson 🤙
Very high on the list.
Can you do a video on how you get doom tones and recommended gear and such? I just subscribed and am excited to see what you come out with
Kacper Migacz I second that^
Get a good clean amp and the Behringer Super Fuzz. It's like 25 euros and built like a shitty toy, but it sounds just like in this video. ;) VERY close to the Boss FZ2
You should 100% do a guide to the early Melvins tone(mainly Gluey Porch Treatments).
Would be cool. Thanks for the suggestion.
NumberNEINLarge Melvins are the best
If you want to play with the record it seems like they were tuned to B standard and slowed the audio a bit on the master, I say this because when I play along with the record it seems I have to be somewhere between B standard and A sharp standard to dial in with them.
Great! Thanks for the video! :-)
Thorvald Neumann thanks for watching!
Holly shit i have just found my new favorite meta to play🤘
Nice!
Sick lesson, much appreciated. I would love to see 'We Hate You' or some more Eyehategod tutorials.
We Hate You is high up there on the list. Would love to do some more EHG as well!
Hey man, love these videos. Any chance we can get some YOB tutorials? Quantum Mystic, Atma, Breathing From the Shallows... YOB is crazy heavy and really musically interesting imo and there's little to nothing in the way of tabs or covers online.
Maybe at some point. It does get requested fairly often.
@@DoesItDoom I'll be keeping an eye out for it then!
Fucking sick tone man
Thanks, Tobin. 🧙🏻♂️💀🤘🏻
nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching man!
Dope (pardon the pun) channel man makes me miss my Blackarts Pharoah Fuzz. Would love to see some New Orleans sludge maybe Cassie Eats Cockroaches by Acid Bath or Temptations Wings by Down
Thanks, man! I love both of those bands and will likely cover each of them at some point.
Temps Wings Is an amazing track ! reminds me of Thin Lizzy and I'm not sure why.
Dustin Richardson Kirk is a huge Thin Lizzy fan. A lot of Down’s stuff has those epic Lizzy style guitar harmonies going on (though a bit doomier in terms of scale / interval choices. Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott fucking rule.
thank you dude, can you do vinnum sabbathi next? i have trouble with the ending because the fuzz is so heavy it makes you go to another dimension instead of focusing
chinchu it’s on the list for sure.
Fuck yeah
Fucking awesome song. Like funky doom
that fucking tone god damn
That Behringer Superfuzz!!
Appreciate man! Good quality tutorial! I just have a little question about your amp, is he totally clean? Cause i wanna buy the superfuzz but I'm afraid I'll not get the same sound as yours on my vox 20+
Hey man, thanks for watching. Amp is totally clean. That Superfuzz is a great pedal-you will love it.
I know this off topic. I'm up here in Canada, and I'm always late seeing things. I sure wish I could find one of the DA 120 overdrive pedals somewhere. Any good tips? Thanks again for all the good stuff.
Rikasso66 contact Nick at Dunwich or Magic at Magic Pedals. I think they may be currently available for preorder. You can also watch Reverb as the show up for sale here and there.
That riff immediately made my beaRd grow a half inch
At least. 🧙🏻♂️🧙🏻♂️
Never listened to doom stuff besides old Paradise Lost and Tiamat twenty-five years ago. Never played the guitar and probably never will, but thank you for showing me really cool songs I never knew existed.
50something metalhead (PanterA4life) but just getting into the genre. I got tendonitis in my elbow playing creeping death and speed thrash and while im healing and chilling found Pelican tuning and pelican which somehow led me to B standard and here we are. So "sup" channel subbed great song new to me. Have a supro fuzz and a deathmetal digitech and a saucybox way huge ... should get me there. Using a charvel san dimas pro mod 1 floyd and a prs se mark holcomb. The prs does the drop stuff great.
Awesome, man. Welcome to a fucken killer genre.
Rick Duff how do you tune your guitar to B Standard? Use a app or go by ear? Im having so much trouble figuring it out
@@dragenthatch3623 here is a tuner on CZcams czcams.com/video/WAoBqKlHpgo/video.html
Clip on tuner B to B Snark all instruments like 14.99 at musiciansfriend
Hey man, great lesson as always! Question: what are your eq settings on the crush 20?? Thank you for all the cool stuff.
Clean channel, Treble at 9 o’clock, Mid at 11 o,clock, Bass Max. Dirt is from the Behringer SF300, the amp just sounds clean.
@@DoesItDoom thank you man! I own the crush 20 and the crush120. And i use a nine of swords tyrant to get the wizzard kinda of tone.
Gino Perre I keep eyeing up used Crush 120’s. Figure they gotta sound good.
I'd love to see tabs for your lessons. Any plans? Nonetheless excellent video again!
Not at the moment due to time constraints.
I love your channel !! The Chosen Few or Dopethrone - Riff dealer :) Please
Thanks so much! The Chosen Few is on the short list!!
Still can't believe this is a Crush 20 lol. Definitely puts the Crush series higher in my list.
I really like that little amp. In this video the amp is set clean and all of the dirt is coming from the Behringer SF300.
when you mute your strings the sound disapears very completely, a little abrupt.. do you have a noise gate or some piece in the chain to kill the sound ? thanks man, heavy lesson !
Sort of. I go back through the audio and apply noise gates to both the guitar and vocal mic, but I also cut out entire sections of each at times to better the quality and clarity of the finished product.
Could you do Electric Wizards self named song off there self named album, I love your tutorials and I would love to see that one done
Love that tune. On my list for sure.
Great video. Would you mind giving your settings for the Orange Crush? Also, do you use the headphone out/cab sim?
This was recorded direct with the headphone out / cab sim. Amp on the clean channel with Treble at 9 o’clock, Mid at 11 o’clock, and Bass max. The dirt is coming from the Behringer SF300.
Cool. Thanks a lot.
What are your SF300 Superfuzz settings, Steve? Thanks for the content, I love it.
Hey John, this video is a few years old so I can’t say for sure. Mode II with bass somewhere between 3 o’clock and max, and treble between noon and 3 o’clock. Level full and gain around 3 o’clock. If I had to guess.
@@DoesItDoom that helps, thanks brother!
LOVE!!!
Bro I'd love to see a witch lesson, they're one of my favorite stoner bands
Any song in particular?
@@DoesItDoom Seer
Yes Seer is awesome
Does anybody know what models those Laney amps are in the background?
The one on top is a ‘69 Laney LBO-60 Supergroup, The one on the bottom is an ‘85 AOR Pro-Tube Lead 100.
Ever hear of warhorse? Would love to learn dooms bride!
Sounds almost like there's some octave stuff going on additionally to the fuzz pedal. Dude you literally have the best gear channel going.
The Hyperfuzz / Superfuzz Mode II circuit definitely has the octave up going on. Thanks for watching!

KEEP ON DOOM
Always.
Im looking to achieve the bass sound for dopethrone.
Can you help me? I'd like to know what gear I need.
Sorry man, I’d love to help, but I don’t have any info on the subject.
How do they do that super long open note
Could you do Weird Tales? Or I, The Witchfinder perhaps?
Both on the list. Thanks!
Does It Doom?
That sounds absolutely fantastic! I’ve been wanting to learn “I, The Witchfinder” for a long time, but there’s no tutorials, or even tabs that exist for it.
9 months later and that behringer superfuzz still eludes me.
They are out there! I was able to pickup a second one new a few months back.
Nice! I just have bad luck with finding this pedal - keep missing it by a few minutes here and there.
Keep up the good content, man!
Hell yes 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Aaron Cornish thanks for watching!!
Overall thoughts on the G-400? Also love the channel!!
I’m diggin it! Felt like it setup well and plays and sounds good. Playing it right now in fact.
