Jason went to school with my son, they were very close. He’s been let down by his parents and the system his whole life and we always looked out for him until he was taken to a care home in Shrewsbury at aged 12. Always a caring little soul with a great sense of humour. This has literally broke my heart that he is now on the streets. I’m going to town tomorrow to try and find him so I can help with clothes, sleeping bag, phone etc. I’ve just been told that he is always around the bombed out church at the top of bold street. If anyone sees Jason, please be kind and help him.

I spent years in a youth hostel from the age of 17, there are dozens of youth hostels in merseyside that would provide him accomodation in days and if you think otherwise you are extremely naive, the lad is a liar and has drug problems and has been kicked out for some reason otherwise as I said he'd be in one. The only addicts you see on the street are ones that have been banned from shelters.

He needs to go to a law center. They take letters from a solicitor a lot more seriously. I was homeless living in a car for 12 months in London. The council refused me housing. The law center got me housed, even the solicitor said chances were slim, but he did it. Got a maisonette now

Even growing up in the 80s I can't remember seeing so many unfortunate young people living rough. Tragic times mate. I'm a steward at Goodison I've seen you and your Joe at the match occasionally. I loved it on the streets when i went down to Bournemouth but being on the streets when i got back to Liverpool was a scarier much different experience. I’m originally from South America, came to the UK at the age of 18, worked as a kitchen porter , building sites , waiter , etc. Lived on shared accommodation, shared a bathroom with strangers. I’m a support worker now. I work mainly with alcoholic and substance abuse. Seeing young people in those conditions really breaks my heart. But the government just wants to look good and help illegal immigrants and asylum seekers instead of putting their own people first. I want to move to Liverpool with my wife and kids but sometimes I fear for my children after seeing all these videos. I hope everyone get the help they need soon

If Jay is a care leaver he should be entitled to be banded as a priority A with housing which means he is high priority and at the front of the qué for accommodation. If he has been in Care for over 13 weeks he should be entitled to a PA who can support him with his application. Hope this gets to him and helps him out.

There's youth hostels. I was in a youth hostel at 17 until 19 with nothing, it's his own fault if he's not in one and has been in trouble for drugs.

Billy , where will I find the young lad , I work on a site in town and I am in a position to fund him a sleeping bag and phone , the people who are less fortunate are left to rot to death. And its one of the most vibrant city's.

This is what's wrong with our country. We have young lads & lasses on the streets, even ex forces, yet the government is quite happy to house asylum seekers as a priority. Hope that poor lad gets somewhere soon & makes something of himself & gives a big 🖕 back to the councils & government.
