  • Welcome back! This video features me trying out the new casting deck extension and the switch box. They both are a great addition to the boat. The bite was slow to start out the evening, but then picked up after dark. I was able to land a 6.1 fish using the wacky rig on a green light! Please like and subscribe for more!

    Love the videos brother. I recently got a bass raider 10e. I have a trolling motor and a mercury 2.5 currently, but looking forward to the casting deck and the other mods. Definitely using your boat as inspiration.

    I love the mods. Especially the foot pedal trolling motor. I will have to checkout the video on a net holder for sure. Fishing has been tough here in PA. Wacky style finesse worm huhj... interesting for sure. you got some really nice ones Max... Green lights are sweet also. Fish on!

    Beautiful 6 pounder Charlie! Your boat is looking amazing! Those few inches on the casting deck make a difference especially with the troll king installed. By the way I finally installed my fish finder and made a switch box, I used a plastic ammo box. I’ll post the video later. I also ran wire inside the boat from front to back only made a 3/8 inch hole in the front and used the existing hole in the back.

    What kind of trailer are you using to haul it, may I ask? Great modifications! Still tinkering with mine. Thanks for sharing.

      I found a used jet ski trailer on Facebook market place and made the bunks using 2x6 boards a carpet. My trailer is made by EZ Loader. Hope this helps; all the best!

    You should add a power pole on your casting deck. I built the same one from your videos and I’m going to be adding one on mine

      Kodane funny you should mention this. I already have one working power pole type anchor on the boat I tested out this weekend and it worked so good. I’m almost finished with the second one - stay tuned!

    You look like a tall gent. How does your extended deck work with the trolling motor pedal? I’m 5’8” tall and am debating the construction of an extended deck. I do like your mods and the thoughtful drawings that you share with viewers.
    I’m not seeing your plan for the net holder. Am I missing something?

    • @maxcastfishing4357
      @maxcastfishing4357  Před 3 lety

      Gary Pollmiller I am 6’00” and the extension makes it just right for me! It was just fine without the extension - I just like the extra bit of room. I’m planning on releasing the net holder in the next video - In fact I was tweaking the design tonight to make it better! All the best!

    Hi Love the videos thank you! I would like to ask what the dimensions of the board you used for the actual boat floor? I don't see that in your plans?

    • @maxcastfishing4357
      @maxcastfishing4357  Před 3 lety +2

      Marc Hufnagel hey brother - I think you’ve ask about the floor in the past. My apologies for not getting back with you sooner. I purchased an 8ft x 4ft 1/4in plywood and had Lowe’s cut an 8ft x 20 1/2in section. So start with a rectangle that is 8ft in length by 20 1/2in width. Pick an end of this section you want to cut the angles to fit towards the back of the boat. On both of the 8ft sides of the board, measure from the corner 6 1/2in and make a mark. Next, on the 20 1/2 end measure from each corner 6 1/4 and make the marks. Now use a straight edge to draw your cut line from the points. (Note: please double check these end measurements by making it out of cardboard to insure it’s correct, as my flooring is carpeted and I may have not been able to get it just right). I put two heavy coats of polyurethane on the wood before putting on the carpet. Let me know if I can help out more. All the best!

    • @maxcastfishing4357
      @maxcastfishing4357  Před 3 lety +2

      Marc Hufnagel also, the flooring will not reach all the way to the front, which I prefer. I like this open so I can use a portable bilge pump to drain out any water I may take on. To keep the floor from sliding, I placed two 6in 1in x 1in boards in the ribs of the floor and screwed them into the plywood floor. This works well to keep the floor from sliding.

      @@maxcastfishing4357 i had asked on a much older video but am glad to hear back from you. That will help a lot - we were at lowes tonight looking for some things and I ended up wandering around looking at the sheeting but had no idea what to look at. I do know their saw is down right now I heard them say. I was looking at some lighter weight things but would rather have something that I could leave in and not worry about it blowing out, This gives me a good spot to start from, thank you again. Love the things you've done with yours. Mine is brand new and bone stock. i have not yet had it out but have a endura max 55 and a maxx 29dc battery in the minn kota battery box. It won't stop raining every day right now so that's put a damper on doing anything. I appreciate your help here and hope to see more vids soon!

      @maxcastfishing4357  Před 3 lety +1

      Marc Hufnagel I’m happy to help! Hopefully it will stop raining soon so you catch some fish from your Raider! I know the plywood adds extra weight, but I’m happy with the durability it gives. All the best!

      @@maxcastfishing4357 I think the rain here in S. Illinois is done until next week. Maybe this weekend I will be able to get it out for the first time with or without the floor. Since lowes saw is down maybe without at first! thank you.
