  • This video shows how to hook up a cheap bluetooth OBD2 dongle to TunerPro RT and datalog as you drive. This gives you the o2 correction needed to dial in your VE tables. I'm doing this video on my 8.1 GMT800 truck, but it also works for 4.8 5.3 6.0 99-06 trucks and LS swaps using the truck LR4 LM7 and LQ4 engines. My Beretta is using a truck engine & harness and I will be datalogging it this same way.
Leave a comment if you have questions. I'm going to set up a google drive and add the link in here to share the ADX logging definition.
Check out my other videos about setting up the tune in TunerPro and flashing the tune to your PCM with that same bluetooth dongle.

Great job explaining. When you were making the graph happier all I could think of was Bob Ross doing his art. You sir are a TunerPro artist! When I do this all I will be thinking about is making happy little graphs.😂

I came to learn how to data log with TunerPro and this guy has a Beretta with a LS in it? I didn't think that was possible. I still have my 90 Beretta but with a 3.1 engine in it.

Hey boss, I was wondering if you still had that on Google drive or similar. I plan on running p59, and wondered about the adx file

Going to email you for the adx file but just wanted to say thanks this vid is super helpful! Working on swapping my 355 tbi I built and tuned years ago for a 6.0 and have been researching and ordering everything I need for doing the programming and got an 0411 ecm from the junkyard along with stuff to make a bench programming harness plus an extra 0411 in case I brick the first one haha. I was hoping to be able to log with Tunerpro since I'm so familiar with it already from doing the obd1 tuning on the tbi and am going to use it for modifying the .bin file anyways and really glad to have found this vid. As far as the wideband not logging for your truck due to no rear o2 I wonder if it has a "flags" section in the .bin file like the obd1 stuff I'm used to and if you could enable the downstream o2 that way? Just a thought

Thanks for the great video. You definitely have this process down. Im having a lot of trouble getting an adx file. I can’t find anything anywhere about how to get one that works for my P01 with 12212156 OS. I guess you really need to get the adx and Xdf that match then get the BIN. But I still can’t figure out those “relationships”. So frustrating!!!

Also: does tunerpro use ADX file to understand the data coming from your car? Let's say I'm tuning a Mercedes CLS, I need to get ADX file for that year/model and for BMW M3, I need to get another ADX file, correct?

  • @James-jh9jx

Would the adx file be universal in different operating systems I plan to run 12592618 p59 turbo l31 build with e85 aswell as a factory l31 with 2156 with the p01

This a great tutorial. I’ll probably contact you soon if I can for a few ?’s. Not doing an LS swap but I am looking at a couple different engine swaps that both of them , one Dodge, one Toyota, I will be ditching the garbage PCMs that will cost a small fortune to just purchase the equipment to tune them .

hey, maybe its me, not sure, but I cant figure out how to connect my laptop and OBDLink LX with TunerPro RT. In the Tools>Preferences windows i setup the Interface Type/Plug-in Component as you did. When I hit the Connect/Disconnect button, it kinda freezes for a second then shuts down TP.
